Food is horrible. We live in the area and keep going hoping it will be better. Went to the Oyster Bar first but they were Sooooo busy we left and decided to give Aspen’s one more try… big mistake. We will not return anymore. Not sure what type of seasoning was used on the filet mignon, but it was terrible. My husband ordered the«special», Salmon and he could not eat it. He said it was the worst he ever had. Salads were fine and so was the asparagus, but that was it. I am wondering if they changed owenership as it used to be wonderful. Never again

Great little slice of heaven in Pine Mountain. Located very close to Callaway Gardens, my husband and I found this gem on a Friday night after getting into town. We were very impressed with the large wooden bar and friendly staff. Very eclectic menu with appetizers ranging from fried green beans to sirloin tips, cheese stix, asparagus, and many more options. We both had the Steakhouse burger which was so darn good!!! Fries were cooked to perfection too. Enjoyed ourselves so much we went back on Saturday night to great beers and our favorite bartender Tonya. She is a doll! Had the cheese stix and then sirloin tips cooked with onions, mushrooms and gravy. So tender I could cut them with a fork. During the off season they are only open Thurs-Sat so don’t miss out on a place that makes u feel like one of the family with great food.

Only place in Pine mountain including Callaway Gardens that wasn’t awful in every way! Had to wait a little at front but the hostess prompted us to be seated at the bar which worked out fine. The service was finally great!!! We started with fried green beans and the collard dip. Both perfectly sized and delicious. I went with the steak tips and mashed potatoes. The tips were well seasoned and tender and mashed potatoes were so flavorful. My boyfriend got the ribeye and it was devoured within minutes! It was a relief to receive great service and great food after such a disastrous vacation weekend. Only thing I wish they had was a better beer selection. Thank you Aspens!

Best mouthwatering Ribeye in all of my 43 yrs. The service and homemade steak sauce were awesome too. Had the tuna special. The cook makes his own special sauce. Fantastic caramel fudge pecan pie. Service is great. We arrived late and were welcomed at 9:30PM. Will be returning.

Super nice staff! Got food to go and it was amazing… Well prepared, good portions, good seasoning. Will go back if I’m ever there again.

This place has horrible service. I live in the area and keep going hoping it will be better. There are not a lot of restaurants around here so that is why I kept going back. I will not return anymore. I order the blackened fish tacos. It mine as well had been a lettuce taco. My wife and kids literally started laughing when the set my plate down because the portions were so small. It took them 55 minutes to bring out our food. I know it was 55 because I told my family we were leaving if we hit the 1 hour mark. The service is always bad and the food is just ok. I will not go back.

Walked in at 5 pm and place was stale and extremely hot. A small wall unit struggled to cool the restaurant. It was as if they just arrived to open from the previous night. The wine was sitting out at the plain excuse for a bar. It was at least 78 degrees inside. Wine was definitely bad if it sat in the hot room all night. Server came up and offered us a menu before we were even seated. We left and will never return. A shame that owner can’t pay the same attention as he pays to his other places.

We sat and read Unilocal reviews in the parking lot. Decided to give it a try because it seemed most of the bad had to do with slow service. Well, that wasn’t our experience. We started out with the nachos appetiser. We should have aborted when the chips were super stale. It made me think of the scene in Chef when the kid is about to serve a burnt sandwich. That should have been something very easy to get right. We went ahead and I ordered a chili cheeseburger and my wife ordered a chicken flatbread sandwich. While her sandwich was good, if I had been blindfolded I don’t know that I would have been able to guess it had chili or cheese on it. The one star is because the value for the meal was way off. While the food just made it to ok, I expect a lot more taste for $ 40. Hardee’s would have beat this at half the price. The canoe over the bar is cool.

Despite a slow kitchen, a lot of flies by the window, and overpricing, the food was pretty good, our server was friendly, the portions were large, and it was an overall good experience for the family. The lone vegetarian option(veggie pasta) was nice and apparently the steak was well grilled.

Soooo much food, so little stomach. Food was great, plentiful and(despite other reviews) service was prompt.

Terrible service. We walked in with my 80 year old grandmother and waited to be seated. After 5 minutes passed we sat ourselves and reviewed the overpriced menu. We sat for over 5 minutes and no one even said hello much less get a drink order. We left. Sorry excuse for a restaurant. Whoever owns this place should be ashamed.

Food was no bad. Service was terrible. They waited on customers that arrived after us. Our server was finally Came by going to another table and ask what we would like to drink as she past by. We finally received our drinks then waited at least 10 minutes before she came back for our order. Another 20 minutes my hamburger and wife’s baked potato arrive. Food was good. Waitress stood behind me and talked to table behind us for another 10 minutes. How does a place with kind of service stay in business.

The food is good. We had an unhappy server but not all the staff was unhappy. The floor was sticky.

It was ok. One of the few places open on Sunday night in the area. We left full and satisfied. The staff dealt with a busy restaurant well.

Very poorly run restaurant. We have eatten there many times with no issues but I believe it has changed hands and the last two times have been disastrous. Manager/owner is very unprofessional and it rubs off on the help. We will not be visiting again.

Not a good place for kids apparently. My family walked in and saw 5 kids and the hostess rolled her eyes. She then proceeded to tell us there was a really good Mexican restaurant down the road where they might be able to accommodate us… no joke.

The food was really good and the plates were huge. We were the only ones when we got there the service was good but a little slow. It took the people that got there after us a long time to get the food and drinks. A couple of people where complaining about the slow service. For us it was good

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary at Callaway Gardens and wanted a nice place to have dinner. The locals recommended Aspen’s. The staff were friendly, service was prompt and our food was really, really fantastic. I had the best marinated chicken breast I’ve ever had, anywhere. It was the juiciest, most tasty piece of meat I’ve ever had. DAMN. it was so good. kiss to the chef. The biscuit that came with it was great, my asparagus was fresh and my mashed potatoes were the perfect portion. My husband got the bleu cheese and onion burger, grilled to perfection. The steak sauce really was to die for. The décor is nice; it has a warm atmosphere in addition to its intimate size. They have a really cute outdoor covered patio too. Everything closes relatively early in the area so get there before 8pm Oh, and it’s very, very casual dress. Table next to us were in pajamas, ha.

I don’t think it is a stretch to say this is the nicest restaurant in Pine Mountain. A number of locals recommended it – and we were not disappointed. The food was quite good and maybe a bit pricey for the area, but worth it. We ate outdoors on the patio and had very good service. The food came out pretty quickly and everyone enjoyed their meal. We will be back.

No, no, no, no, no. When I go to a grill, I want fresh food! I ordered the chicken tenders and french fries — and they tasted like they were still frozen. I know some foods at restaurant are frozen before I eat them, but I might as well have gone to the Piggly Wiggly freezer aisle and popped it in the microwave for 2 minutes instead of 5. There was no taste and I didn’t eat it. Might as well have flushed that $ 12. Also odd was the taxidermy all over the walls. I hate to be this hard on a place but the waitress was absent and as I mentioned before… the food was basically still frozen!
