It breaks my heart to give this place 2 stars. Seriously. I have been coming here for as long as I can remember(probably the majority of my 30 years on Earth). Whenever my family and I would come up to visit my Grandparents, we always stopped to get an order(or 6) of their french fries. They had THEBEST french fries. The rest of their food is just ok, but their fries were really the bees knees. Well after our last visit, I don’t think we’ll be back. First of all, they got rid of the drive-thru which is such a bummer, but I suppose something I could overlook if everything else was in line. Secondly, it took ATLEAST20 minutes for my simple order of 2 fries and a large soda. And then they only had Pepsi products(YUCK), so I landed on a Dr. Pepper, which ended up tasting watered down and was more like a small than a large. Once my fries finally came out I was horrified to find that they were no longer the crinkle cut fries I had come to know and love, but just regular old fries. To add insult to injury, these fries were entirely overdone and barely salted. They tasted like sadness and disappointment. :-(When I got them, I was so relieved that the couple behind me had not ended up ordering the fries to go with their vanilla cones on my recommendation that Frosty Burger had THEBEST fries. Oh how wrong I was. It feels like the end of an era. I guess I’ll be going to Del Taco to get my crinkle fry fix from now on. :-/

Had the mountain burger and a vanilla cone. Both were excellent. It has a great location near some hiking trails so you can hike those calories off.

Frosty burger was a very satisfying experience I was in the area and I decided to stop by for lunch. I got a regular burger, fries and a chocolate malt. I said no onions on the burger, but it still had onions. I took them out and the burger was delicious. The chocolate malt was very thick and good. I would go there again if I was near.

No restrooms here so everyone eats with dirty hands? Got refund because I refuse to eat with dirty hands.

The burgers are good and the shakes are great. We stop here every time we’re in the area.

Frosty burger has changed there ingredients and the burgers are tasting better than ever these days. Great service and classic menu items taken up a notch! I recommend the mountain burger with a chocolate peanut butter shake. Yumm!

If your driving from Phoenix to San Diego skip Yuma and stop here in Pine Valley. There are no signs for what food awaits at the exit, but we found Frosty right off the ramp. I’m not sure I had been to a Frosty before, but I clearly have been to similar kinds of establishments years ago when they were more popular. — Chicken Sandwich — the Hot deep fried patty kind with mayo, lettuce, tomato. Just like you would remember — fries were terrific with skin on, but way too much even for two($ 8.99 combo) — soft serve — ice cream melts fast in summer, but the treat tasted fresh and had good tones of vanilla. They call your order and you can sit at the worn down picnic tables to eat. This will be the new stop on the road to SD and will try the namesake burger next time as well.

Cute place on historic highway 80. Food was good, but employee discouraged me from getting the chili cheese fries. He said they were too big, what’s that even mean? I didn’t ask about the size, I asked for chilli cheese fries. Other than that, I loved the location, décor, and atmosphere.

Ok ok so I got the new phone number and I told the gal about my experience and she offered me an ice cream. So that was nice. I only complained about it because I have a tomato allergy. So the food and money was wasted. I guess I could speak on how delicious their fries are! Holy moly! And let’s talk about their vanilla soft serve. OUTOFTHISWORLD! I happen to be very picky! Hard to please. So other than the price points anyone else or most everyone else would love love love this place. I DOLOVEIT! I’m going there for lunch! Haha! I do recommend frosty burger!

We had the burgers and fries and they were really good! I had the Ortega burger and my wife had the regular hamburger and we both liked them a lot. Seating outside only but lots of tables available. Free refills on the sodas and friendly service. Great place for a burger, hotdog, or ice cream.

Way too expensive. $ 11.50 for three chocolate dipped cones. Should have gone elsewhere.

The setting is fantastic. It’s about 30 seconds away from the freeway, but it seems like you’re deep in cabin country. The food is a bit inconsistent. We liked the burgers. Made to order. The kids loved their corn dogs. The French fries were an undercooked soggy mess. That’s two out off three. Not bad, I guess. Felt the hamburgers and kids meals were appropriately priced, but the $ 2.99 large soda, weighing in at only 20 ounces, was undeniably a ripoff. A nice variety of ice cream treats. The order took a very long time to be served, which is no problem if you’re relaxing locally, but is a huge consideration if you’re just pulling off the freeway for a quick bite. The tables, shaded by umbrellas, make for a pleasant wait in any case. The five and six year old in our party loved the phone booth out front. They were astounded by the fact that you could call anyone for just 50 cents!!! A technological wonder in their eyes.

I got food poisoned from their burger. Thought it tasted pretty good at first but I must’ve just been that hungry. Unless you want your stomach torn to pieces stay away from this place.

It took over 30 minutes for 2 hamburgers and fries. The Owner needs to hire competent staff… Terrible! This is not a fast food drive-in. If you want to eat in Pine Valley, go to the diner across the street!

Forsty burger have been around for a long long long time. Hidden in Pine Valley somewhere is this establishment boasting burgers. I skipped the burgers this time but instead went for the banana split. It was delicious and satisfied my ice cream craving. It’s lunch time and thee was actually a line to place your order. Then again it could be because it’s the first week of spring, I waited in line and placed my order. I got my order and went across the enjoy my three scoops of ice cream with friends. If you are in the area, it’s not a bad place to get your banana split.

This unassuming burger spot is a hidden gem! Right off of the 8 just east of Alpine. If you are headed this way you have to stop by and give em a try! Support local business. Take it from me — try the mountain burger.

Nothing special. We stopped on our way home from camping. Prices were steep and the shakes weren’t impressive.

How many people does it take to run a little burger joint when its busy? Four. One who takes the orders, one to start cooking the order, and one to put on all the condiments on one piece. at. a. time. And one to go sit in the back– or go on lunch. Seriously, I shit you not. It was almost an hour before we received our food. I could understand if one person was working behind the counter and had to take the orders, cook them and then bag it, but there were 3 people the whole time. After a hard day of reconnaissance work in the mountains, we came across Frosty Burger. When we visited this place, there were a handful of people there and most of them had ordered. So my cohort ordered first. Then I did. I ordered the Mountain Burger and that was it. Apparently the person taking the order automatically assumed that I wanted a combo and charged me for one– I didn’t know until after. Since this quaint little joint has no inside seating, we all stood outside in 30 degree weather while the three ‘busy’ bees were working really hard. And when I say ‘working real hard’, I mean one person taking the order and when she was done, she kinda stood around talking to the other two until another person ordered food. Then the second person cooking the food cooked each of the orders One. At. A. Time. Then you had the third person who waited until the burgers were cooked and then assembled the burgers. All burgers come with pickles, onions, lettuce and tomatoes. When the Assembler got the cooked burgers, they very slowly, and very meticulously placed each tomato, each onion, each pickle on the burger One. At. A. Time. And then the Burger Assembler wrapped each and every burger so carefully, then placed the burger inside the bag so reverently, you would think that they were serving the Dalai Lama or the Pope. Does one really need a full minute to place a burger in a paper bag? Then it seemed like one of the staff persons parents stopped by to check on them. We had commented that its been 40 minutes(at that time) and the lady replied«Oh I know its busy, they are really doing their best»… and then left. Shut It Lady. Just Shut It — I haven’t seen you standing out here in 30 degree weather for over 40 minutes– Must be nice to drive off in your big fancy warm car spouting off some asinine hippie-vibe nonsense about what a great job 3 incredibly slow teens make our food inside the nice warm building while we are freezing in this 30 degree weather. Because I doubt if that was your kid behind there, you would have been bitching up a storm after 10 minutes. When we finally got our food(which was over 50 minutes later), there were no napkins, or any ketchup for the fries. Really? You would *think* if Burger Assembler/Bagger was so meticulous and so careful and took so much pride in placing the food in the bag, there would be some napkins and some ketchup packets in there. But no. I’m sure if I had went back and asked, we would have had to wait another 20 minutes… The taste of the food was decent– though I think it had to do more with the fact we waited 50 minutes to finally get our food and eat. As for my Mountain Burger– it was basically just 2 patties instead of 1. And we aren’t about Wagyu or Kobe beef here– The burgers are just frozen patties that they store in what looks like a file cabinet right next to the stove. In-n-Out makes better burgers– and they deal with much larger crowds and get the food out faster to you than 50 minutes and is worth the wait. So if I were you, I’d wait till you got back to civilization, and go to In-n-Out and eat there. You would probably get your food faster than we did. Or just go across the street to the gas station and convenience store…

Tried frosty burger for the first time today… We picked up 6 cheeseburgers and headed to the park. The service was quick(we maybe waited 10 – 15 minutes), and the burgers were actually really good! I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because they were just a little too saucy and messy. But other than that, delicious!

So horrible I didn’t even eat there. I went to the drive thru. The rude lady told me that they had no to go menus and that I had passed the menu on the drive thru. Fair enough. So I drove back around and ordered a corn dog and burger with grilled onions. She told me that they were too busy and couldn’t grill my onions… There were about two people eating. You know who’s too busy? In n out is busy and they still have time to grill some onions! Any restaurant should be able to fulfill such a small request as this one so I ended up not eating because of the horrible service.
