Every thing on the menu is great! Excellent service. Ruben is the best I’ve ever had. Service is phenomenal!

I’ve only been here for breakfast and it’s not to be missed. Great plates of steaming waffles, pancakes, sausages, bacon and eggs… you name it! It’s here. Come early if you can because The Villager has a top notch reputation and it’s crowded fast. This is not a place for gossip, ladies. Tables are close and so are ears(only kidding).

Got and amazing BLT here and it was awesome to be able to sit outside on the patio. Wait staff was kind with great hospitality.

Great lunch spot! I heard the breakfast is even better. We were on our way to golf and needed to pick up a few sandwiches on the way. The deli is located in a small quant village area with shops and plenty of parking. It is a small establishment and they go over and beyond customer service. We need to be at the course by 1115 am and they don’t start serving lunch until 11 am. Not only did they say they would make it by 11 am for pick up they actually had it ready 10 minutes before. Gave us plenty of time to grab our sandwiches and enjoy them on the way to the course. We ordered the village club and the village blt. They both came with a pickle wedge and a bag of ruffles potato chips. For $ 7 – 8 a piece I would say that’s a great deal. Will be back for sure, maybe for breakfast or brunch soon.

This place is fantastic in every sense. Our waitress was so much fun and the owning family is wonderful. We all had delicious sandwiches with high quality breads and meats. The atmosphere is perfect. I don’t see how a sandwich shop gets better than this. Unlike another reviewer, we arrived at 2.29pm(they close at 2.30pm). Our waitress and the owning family couldn’t have been more welcoming and fun. The owner talked to us for twenty minutes. This place is a total winner.

Good place to grab a sandwich but this place is generally packed at lunch time! Come early if you want a chance at getting the Quiche which in my opinion is the best thing on the menu… Wait staff is hit or miss and they are generally grumpy at the end of the lunch rush.

One of The best Reuben sandwiches I have ever had. Soup of the day is usually very tasty. Interesting way of ordering. Be careful to fill in all the choices: bread condiments etc.

Go for the Reuben — it’s FANTASTIC. Warning: It can be crowded. This is a deli not a quiet intimate café. It’s a small space with a lot of customers but it is the heart and soul of Pinehurst Village and a gem to us all.

I just needed a cup of coffee this morning. Saw their sign for espresso and thought I could pop in real quick. I was wrong. I just paid $ 6 for 2 double espresso’s to go, served in a styrofoam cup. Would have been better off driving to Starbucks and supporting Big Business. Very disappointed in this café and village. The kitchen looked a hot mess as well. If you are looking for a greasy spoon, with boutique pricing make a stop.

This is everything you would want in a small town southern diner and more. Great food, friendly staff and even better prices. They have a small space to work with, but I have never waited for a table. The staff is constantly hustling and extremely attentive. This is my families favorite local spot for weekend brunch and morning coffee. Conveniently located in the heart of downtown.

I eat here almost every time I am in Pinehurst(which is often). I haven’t done lunch here in a while(it was tasty). But if you want a solid Southern breakfast, there’s country ham, perfectly fried eggs, good biscuits, and grits worth getting excited about. There are also extraordinary pancakes and croissant French toast. A number of reviewers have had issues with the vibe. I can only say that it feels local to me. Maybe that’s their problem. They’re expecting something from where they’re from instead of what’s there. Servers are hard workers who keep the coffee coming in a cheerful way.(Wendy!) Tip: If you’re going to want a biscuit, don’t sleep in. They’re often gone by 10.

After waiting for 40 minutes my wife, who had observed 5 tabled around her turning after receiving and eating their food, inquired of the owner if anything had happened to their order that he had originally taken. He administered a loud tong lashing, asked her if she couldn’t tell that they were busy and let them know there were other people waiting. Evidently it was her fault he had not turned in the order.

A local favorite! Service may not be obsessively in your face nice, but they take good care of you and make sure your order is right… and if it’s not they’ll fix it. The owner is a really nice guy, its sad people infer he is arrogant at first meeting, give the guy a chance! I always get the chef salad, it’s huge and delicious… fresh ingredients and always crisp and filling. It is a local favorite, so I can see why the uncertainty in filling out the menu, and not appreciating the ambiance of the historic building for the out-of-towners. I love the Villager and go frequently!

Love Love Love the pimento cheese grilled cheese! I crave their pimento cheese! I don’t know what secret ingredient they put in there, but it really makes it stand out from other cheeses! The only other thing I have eaten there was a bite of my husbands Rueben which was also super delish! Great location and really fair prices. They make homemade pies too!

I love their grilled cheese and tuna sandwiches, and that’s really the only reason why I keep coming back. Complaints? Aplenty. Waitstaff is usually short and curt, orders I have been a part of have come back incorrect and fries are almost ALWAYSCOLD. I mean, when the fries are hot, they’re delish, however I find that’s usually the exception. The paper slip ordering I’ve always found a bit novel, but I could see where that would be a turnoff, if not sometimes confusing to other patrons. Hot sandwiches have turned up cold as well from time to time, so it truly is hit or miss. Whenever I come, I just try to be as sweet as syrup and hope for the best, like I said, I have some sort of cosmic hankering for their a couple of their sammies! This place could be dynamite, but there seems to be no effort put forth and there’s a palpable lack of interest in customer service within the dynamic of the establishment(in all levels). But as I’ve stated in previous reviews, I’m getting used to that in the service industry. I do, however, think their sandwiches are good and it’s an okay place to stop if you’re visiting the Village shoppes(Plus, I’d like to try out their breakfasts after perusing their breaky menu). I know I will probably be back, but I’ll grit my teeth about it! Ha!

we walked by this place and it looked good. We went inside(my husband, son & myself). the atmosphere inside was not impressive. very crowded and was dated. the owner & waitress just stared at us, and kind of barked different suggestions where we could sit. after we sat– no one explained how to order, you fill out a menu yourself-sort of like they do at a sushi restaraunt. we filled it out-the owner took our order sheet and told us we needed to fill out separate sheets!(he should have explained to us) he sat down right beside us and was sctraching out our order and seemed very annoyed with us. after taking our drink order– he brought us both waters, my husband ordered a soda. it was a very uncomfortable experience. We had to wave down a waitress fora refill. they cater to the golfers. if you dont look the part– expect rude service/it was almost as if werent wanted there. Unless your a golfer NEVERGOHERE!!!
