I this place. Great sandwiches and variety. The spicy Italian is one of my favorites. It’s not cheap, but it’s fresh. The Upcharge for a combo is a little steep, but it’s par for the course for the area.

my favorite sandwich and soup place in town, always a different soup and I’ve liked every single one of them. Eat here a few times a month at least.

I love this place! I could eat here every day. I love the smoked salmon wrap; salmon, cream cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato, cucumber and red onion. Served with a pickle and cole slaw! I’ve also tried the honey orchard wrap, hummus wrap and some of the breakfast sandwiches. Breakfast is served all day which I love! Service is always quick. The cashier is always friendly. I like to call a head to make sure my order is ready when i get there so I can head back into work. They also offer beer and wine for those who do not need to get back to work. I’ll be back to get that salmon wrap or maybe something new!

The food is good but the wait time is completely out of control. I have ordered from here numerous times and always call ahead. When I am told it is going to be a half an hour for one sandwich it is a little frustrating but then when I get there 30 minutes later and have to wait in line for another 15 minutes just to pay and it isn’t ready yet that is just too much! Also I’m sorry but when I mention the fact that I am a bit rushed and have to get to a meeting and they might need a better system I don’t need to be told that is my fault for not allowing enough time to pick something up. It is unfortunate and I hope that in the future this gets better. Things like this have happened many times and as I sit and wait for my orders to be ready I realized that it’s not just me. There are many people waiting and getting the wrong orders. I guess the moral is the food is ok if not a bit overpriced but do be prepared to wait an exorbitantly long time.

Ended up eating here because the rest of southern pines was closed due an ice storm. I had a good sandwich for a reasonable price. I will definitely try it again next time in the area.

Hits the spot! I had a bacon and egg sandwich on wheat, they listened when I asked my eggs to be overcooked. The kitchen was nice to peer into; it peaked my curiosity! Definitely going back for lunch sometime!

Great deli. Everything I have had is great. The breakfast burrito with avocado — yummy! They can get pretty busy, and the only hang up is — it’s slow. You get your food when you get it. We have waited between 30 – 45 min during lunch rush several times. It’s still our go to place for a bite, because it really is worth the wait.

Came into Nosh today for lunch and the place was very clean! The service was slow, only because of a huge party before us. And the women working there were so nice! I did not realize my sandwich came with mayo and they begged to fix it for me. I was far too hungry to care though. The only reason for 3 stars is because I thought it was a little over priced for the smaller portions. The food was good, although my sandwich was not something that I could not duplicate myself. I would recommend to someone!

Lovely café/deli. Stopped in at lunch on a day off from work(Friday). Had the Reuben on rye, also bought freshly made bagel chips(thin and perfect) and a Pellegrino. The staff was super busy with every table full, but they were very friendly and efficient. The girl who rang me up and took my order told me next time to let them know I’m military in advance as they give a discount. She also was kind enough to bring my to-go order out to me outside on the sidewalk where I waited. The restaurant’s bathroom is beautiful, modern, and super clean. I will definitely go back– food was superb! Love to see more and more choices for food opening and succeeding in this little town.

For some reason I was hesitant to try this place out, despite living just up the street. I’m glad I finally did! I ordered the roasted veggie sandwich, which is a tasty baguette stuffed FULL of delicious roasted veggies. It was so substantial I actually wasn’t able to finish it. My side was the cucumber + tomato salad, which included red onion slivers and a really tasty, sweet vinaigrette. My husband ordered the italian hero w/coleslaw and devoured both. The deli has a casual, friendly atmosphere that wasn’t bothered by the presence of a very active and talkative 5-year-old. I’d be comfortable bringing all 4 of my young kids here.

Great place to stop for a quick relaxing lunch. Several choices on the menu for breads and fillings. LOVE their French bread. They have several drink choices both alcoholic and non. I’ve even seen fresh lemonade there but never tried it. The staff remembers you and makes you feel welcomed which we love!

Overall: Excellent experience. Food tasted great. Ambiance was pleasant. And the price was right. Here’s the deal. It’s the day after Christmas and I apparently had to spend the day returning gifts my father-in-law gave my wife(help). 4 hours later and I’m hungry. Enter Nosh. Google the definition for an interesting read. I ordered and devoured the Italian steak and cheese with a tomato soup. Sandwich comes with a pickle and coleslaw. I loath coleslaw(the fat guys southern salad In my opinion) BUT this one is really good. The sandwich is priced just right and portioned perfectly. The tomato basil soup is fresh but a little bland. I’m not much of a soup eater though. My wife ordered the pulled chicken sandwich on a baguette with a cucumber salad(amazing). She doesn’t eat much bread(got to keep that butt tight) and the baguette was more bread than she wanted. The cucumber salad was MUCH better than the soup as a refreshing upper. We could have both split a sandwich with our own cucumber salads. We would come back here again and recommend this place to friends and family. The owner Loraine is pleasant and patient. And that’s all. Back to standing awkwardly in girls department stores.

Very good lunch today. We split a roasted veggie sandwich and the daily special. The special was a wrap with honey ham, apples, muenster, greens, honey mustard and mayo. The arugula in the greens was an awesome touch. Nice balance of sweet and a little bitterness. The roasted veggie sandwich was great as well, served on a nice crunchy baguette. Overall a great experience and I will be sure to return.

This place just opened and appears poised to fill the deli void that has plagued downtown Southern Pines since«That’s a Deli» went away several years ago. Although they are just getting started and will no doubt make some menu and hours changes, they are off to a good start. They have hot and cold sandwiches with many choices of breads, meats, and cheeses. They have quite a number of freshly made side items and also salads and chips. They have water, sodas, and about 10 beer selections including Stella, Guiness, Sam Adams October, Yuengling, and a few American macrobrews. They also have hard cider. I had a hot sandwich — everything was of excellent quality(meat, cheese, bread), plus it had caramelized onions, roasted red peppers, and mushrooms. Side of potato salad was good. Counter service only, but the food came out fairly quickly considering that it wasn’t pre-made. My meal was about $ 13 for a sandwich, chips, coke, and extra side. Not too bad considering I was able to take half of the sandwich home. The interior has had some updates and looks pretty nice. I’m sure they will continue to dress it up a bit as they get established. Right now they could use some more sound-absorbing material since it’s just a big open room. It has the potential to be a bit noisy if full, but nothing too dramatic. I will be back for more! In the mean time, I wish them luck.
