The food is pretty good, try the hummus with pita chips, so good. The servers are nice and restaurant itself is a chill place. I’ve been twice now and both times I’ve ordered mixed drinks, thats 4 drinks and all four in my opinion must have been watered down because I never had a buzz at all. Usually a good drink would give you that good feeling you get when the drink is just right but unfortunately I am not getting that here. I think I’ll stick to the food and stay away from getting cocktails, boooooo: /

I’ve tried this place a few times. The first time we walked in and were given a table. No one came to greet us or ask for drinks for nearly 10 min so we walked out. When we went in xmas eve we were told to sit anywhere which we did. Once again we weren’t greeted by anyone for a good 10min. The server was apologetic but it wasn’t her fault– I think there needs to be more communication going on between the employees. The food was good, I got the chicken Blt wrap and ate it all including the frys. Great food great tap selection, poor service.

This place is just fanfreakintastic! We sat outside because the weather was nice. Rick was our bartender/server. He was very knowledgeable about the drinks and menu. We ordered the fried mushrooms and brie. They were both very good, I only regret that I’m not hungry enough to eat the other dozen menu items that look so good. It’s about a 45 min drive for us, but we’ll definitely be back.

This review is mostly about food… This little pub is on the streets of the quaint, downtown Southern Pines. The inside is nice with rich, cherry wood décor. The bartenders are attentive but not overly aggressive. I rarely ever drink, but I do eat! Being that it’s national burger day I decided to go with a Brie burger, something a little different. Presentation was nice. The bun was a little cool but soft. As I picked up the burger it was very greasy. There was a white Dijon mustard on it that was to me a very strange pairing with the Brie and the meat. I felt like it would have been better served with a sweet base like a jam vs the tang of the Dijon. It also came with sweet potato fries which were very oily, wasn’t a fan.

Food decent… Service is alright. Nothing really to rave about. Been here several times… Try different things every time… Still haven’t found anything I would go back for food wise.

Place was great… Stopped by on our way for a family vacation. Food was great, and the service was top notch.

Cool bar, great back patio and nice, prompt service(non peek hours), but the food is flavorless, and subsequently over priced. We had fried pickles that were way over seasoned served with ranch so thinned down it would barely stay on the pickle chip. Seriously guys, I get that you’re trying to save a penny, but lay off the water… The burger was ok, just ok, but could have benefited from some seasoning. The fish taco was horrible. It was completely and utterly flavorless. The fries were under done and had no seasoning; the onion rings also lacked any presence of seasoning. It’s pub food guys, not rocket science… You can do better. Meh really sums it up, which is a shame because the atmosphere would lend itself to something special. In short: Just go for drinks. Eat somewhere else.

I have frequented this place multiple times over the years and have witnessed first hand the growth of issues that make this place undesireable to long standing locals. I went to enjoy a couple of drinks with an out of town guest after a nice dinner. Within 5 minutes of getting there a very drunk individual came to me and yelled«let me see you outside». It’s been years since my last bar altercation and I was a little shocked as well as amused. The guy stumbled outside with the doors man opening the doors for him. I asked the door employee what he was going to do about the drunk patron… He responded nothing if it was outside and laughed. My friend and I went outside… Diffused the situation and came back in with the patron who frankly should have been removed by employees and was WAY over served. To find out… He was with a group of military guys that were daring him to fight random guys all night and laughing at him. Again with the knowledge of employees. Point being… The owner overlooks this type of behavior and it has spawn his business into one more suited for Fayetteville NC.

They are open late vs many of the places in Sopi. So it is a good place to grab a bite after you are out and about. Burgers are juicy and delicious, the fries and onion rings are great. I have never had bad service here, the wait staff has always been attentive

Welp, one pour of bookers whiskey(neat) cost me $ 18.00. I feel like the girl should have said something. I’ve never paid so much for so little. Booker’s is similar to the price of a bottle of Patron. Does that also mean they charge 18.00 for a tequila shot? I thought she made a mistake until she charged my friend the same thing. I’ve always heard they are overpriced, but now I know. I can go downtown Raleigh and pay half the price for a more expensive whiskey.

It’s a dive bar… Nothing fancy. Their salads are good. Service … Touch and go. We have had several negative experiences with servers who are just rude. But, it’s a quick bite to eat and there’s always a table.

I could take it or leave it. Good beer selection, decent food, good service. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Great place to grab a drink with nice atmosphere but the food was horrible! None of my family remotely enjoyed their food. They even found a way to screw up onion rings. How does that happen?

Our party of seven came here for lunch. After a fifteen minute wait we were seated and the comedy of errors began. The wait staff, the kitchen and even the bus boy all seemed to have a difficult time getting things right. First off, one of our party ordered a Dog Fish Head 60 Minute IPA, yet a porter was delivered. When the mistake was pointed out, the server assured us that we had indeed been served a Dog Fish Head ale. Well, no, but not worth arguing over. TV When the food arrived, four of the five burgers were overcooked. One of our party had ordered the burger rare and it was served cooked beyond recognition. Other burgers were ordered medium rare and medium. Add to this the sides had been put on the wrong plates and we could not tell who’s burger belonged to who. The server had no clue. I think there were two brie burgers ordered, a bison burger, and a regular burger with various sides, yet the mix up was so bad we gave up trying to figure it out and everyone just are what was in front of them. The shrimp and grits were terrible. Cold, gritty and tasteless. Not worth finishing. Even getting the drinks straight was a stretch. Sweet tea served as unsweetened tea and vice versa. While clearing plates, busboy dropped a dirty dish and food into the lap of one of our party. The service was so pathetic it was funny. it was so bad we were having a good time waiting to see what they would screw up on next. I think I actually enjoyed this in a weird sort of way.

Dog-friendly back patio! My wonderful waitress even brought out pieces of bacon for my dog to enjoy, free of charge. That alone, rates this place very high in my book. Service was great. Our beer came out fast and my water glass was always full. Food was average. It is basically pub food, but I was happy with the fish tacos I ordered. I will definitely go again.

Recently, I coordinated a work event held at the Bell Tree. It was a Tuesday night and we had approximately 60 people. Several weeks prior to this«social» I began coordinating w/Con. Not sure if he is the owner or manager. We reserved the«patio» area, but not guaranteed exclusively — meaning that’s the only place for any guest to smoke. I really like the Bell Tree’s set-up — standard pub/sports bar inside and outside patio w/an exterior bar. Since this event’s success or failure rested on me(sigh…), I called the Bell Tree at least four times prior to the date to make sure and confirm how many people I was bringing and that they were still expecting us. Fast forward to the night… although not a «formal» event, our group arrived loosely around 6pm. Meh, for whatever reason, the inside of Bell Tree was completely dead, but only two servers working outside. Ugh, although my quesadillas were fine(hard to mess up), the people at our table all received our food at different times. I don’t understand why they did not have more servers for our group or why servers who were standing around inside weren’t shifted outside. The Bell Tree itself — you can eat for under $ 15 — a major plus for scheduling a diverse group. They also have various«events» during the week. It’s nice for this area, but not(at least to me) worth driving an hour(one way) to Southern Pines. It’s okay, but I wouldn’t kill myself to get here.

I’m surprised that this nice place isn’t rated higher! Stopped in for lunch today and we found great service(Vicky was so sweet!) and great food. Menu is fun and better than the average boring bar finds like wings and sliders. This place has a fried green tomato sandwich($ 7 with side) and yummy fried okra. Lamb burger was also very tasty and cooked just right. Good selection of local beers on draft as well.

I have been here several a times now, service is good until it becomes a bar atmosphere, then it rather lacking. The food is good and they have server all great beers on tap. This place has a great location and if you are looking for a good time after dinner def stop by here. The have corn holes and foosball out back to play! Giant he ga would be a great addition. Overall good place, just don’t come late and except good food service it won’t happen.

Restaurant/Pubs/Taverns don’t always leave me with high expectations on quality food. Thus, my expectations preceded me… The service was wonderful and attentive, the baked Brie was not so baked and could have been a little more creamier to liking, the black bean burger with sweet potato fries were nothing to rave about but nonetheless alright. As a casual dine in, Bell Tree has some of the best menu options I’ve seen in southern pines so far… Surely the second run in will be better… Otherwise, cute place with great beer, can’t complain too much

Not the best place in town, but certainly not the worst. Burgers are average and overall its okay… honestly, it seems like a place that struggles a bit; that Bar Rescue show should come in and take this place on… they need something, just dont know what. Staff is absolutely CLUELESS… not only are they out to lunch, they seem aloof as if they dont care… when one person rolls their eyes and flips attitude, its a bad server… when two or more do it: its BADMANAGEMENT.
