Great waitress. Really mediocre food and on the pricey side. I don’t believe they turned the heat on until more people showed up at lunch.

Not a bad place. Ordered some calamari and two steaks. I guess it was kind of our fault for ordering steaks at a Greek place. They were ok, but nothing special. Atmosphere was decent, but they put us upstairs and were constantly walking by us to seat other people. It’s a tight fit up there. Overall, a little overpriced for what we received. If you’re going to try this place, go with some traditional Greek dishes and see if you fair any better.

Me and some of my colleagues ate here while attending a conference in Pinehurst. We were here over the holidays and it was decorated beautifully. The food was amazing! I had the ribeye. It was a little undercooked from what I ordered, but an undercooked steak is never a bad thing. The stomboli was great, even though it was really a calzone. It is a little pricy, but worth it. The only negative was the service. Our waitress seemed a little overwhelmed, but it may have been due to the volume of customers in the restaurant. My colleges had the moussaka, veal, and angle hair. They loved the food as well!

Amazing atmosphere! Great service! The hummus is the best I’ve ever had. It is a must on places to visit when we come to Pinehurst.

My wife and I really enjoyed this Resturant! The atmosphere is classic old world European with exposed wood beams and dark hardwoods throughout. The service, food and drinks were excellent. We had Greek lemon chicken soup and a Gyro platter. Can’t wait to try the beautiful patio in warmer weather.

If you want to spend a lot of money on mediocre Greek food this is the place for you! Service was pretty good. Atmosphere was your typical, tacky, Greek décor. Music was a combination of what sounded like the Carpenters, and weird, Greek circus music. Food was too mediocre for the price. The bill did not justify one bit of the experience! You’re better off skipping this in favor of an establishment that takes pride in their product and the customer’s experience. The proprietors clearly only care about taking your money and giving you little value for it.

After having a screwed up reservation by 1895 restaurant, we ended up in Theo’s. Definitely a lucky break. Much more interesting menu, better value and wonderful service. Appetizers amongst the 4 of us were excellent. Saganaki, octopus and fava bean/sausage starters were all excellent. Wonderful to share. The man course dishes were okay although with a few criticisms. Grouper special was a bit over cooked. Paella was ordered by two people. Not a big hit either. Nonetheless, I would suggest Theo’s. Nice local place and worth a visit.

I have been an occasional customer of Theo’s for many years, love the outside patio. Today I took a friend for lunch and ordered the«special» 25 bean soup which came in a large bowl filled half way. Soup was lukewarm and I would have returned it had I seen the waitress again. Soup was way below average… had about 4 beans and the rest veggies and broth. Very disappointed but it has always been hit or miss worth Theo’s

Theos makes his own olive oil and it’s delicious! Not sure how often they have their specials for but if you have the chance(and like fish) order the stuffed grouper with spinach and feta over home-made pasta. It’s finished with a caper sauce to die for! Yum! Cozy atmosphere makes it great for dates ;)

They never disappoint! Filet on the kids menu is fantastic says the girls! My favorite is the lemon risotto with grilled shrimp. Don’t forget to pick a bottle of their amazing Theo’s extra virgin olive oil imported from the family farm in Greece! OPA!

Went on a Saturday for lunch with a girlfriend. We sat inside, even though there is a lovely seating area outside with lots of greenery. We had prosecco, which was filled to the top(that’s always a plus) and we both had the squid salad, which I highly recommend if you like squid. Super tasty and refreshing, it has steamed squid, orzo on a bed of lettuce with a nice lemony feta-y dressing. Service was pretty slow and the place was not busy at all. They also sell olive oil from Sparta, which comes in a classic large rectangular tin, which comes in handy when you cook daily with olive oil.

If it were up to me, I would give a 0 star. Where do I even begin from this dreadful experience my family and I experienced last night? Well for starters, we sat down at 7:30pm and they only came to take our order at 7:45pm. I should add we have a 5&7 year old. We order plain pasta for the children with marinara on the side. The marina sauce was VEGETABLESOUP! I swear to god… Liquid vegetable soup. $ 8/pasta without real sauce is a crime! On the other hand, at 9:15, our orders still haven’t come out. Here I have restless kids way past their bedtime and our food still wasn’t out. Meanwhile, a table of 10 right next to us were sat down after us and they all got served. We cancelled our main courses after waiting an hour and fifteen minutes. What killed me after this horrific experience was they still charged us for our drinks and their lousy pasta with vegetable soup. Truly disgusting and disappointing! Classless. We came from Los Angeles and it was just the worst restaurant experience of my life. I am pissed I wasted a good night out with my family on this dump. Stay clear and beware! They will take any buck they can. With lousy customer service, they don’t give snow away in the winter.

I took some friends to Theo’s because it was close and we could walk. The food and wine were ok, but when it was time to pay the bill, we realized they had charged us for a bottle of wine that we had not ordered. When I pointed it out to the waiter, he got really upset so I asked to speak to the manager. He was so rude and told us it was the waiter’s fault and he would pay for it. The waiter ignored us after that. Then the manager(owner) was rude to us when we left. I have heard from many other people how rude the owners are, so it is amazing that they are even in business still. It is only because there are not that many places to eat in the village. I for one, will never patronize the place again.

Enjoyable dinner on the lovely patio. Excellent service provided by Anna. Skip the hummus app(bland) and the baklava(90% stale filo). And if you plan to use a Theo gift card, go online and print value to present to server at beginning of the meal so you’re not told the card has a zero balance when you close the tab. As a local, I’d heard that Theo’s is hit or miss on service and food so was pleasantly surprised.

Based upon reviews on Unilocal and elsewhere, I booked a group of 15 gentlemen at Theos this past weekend. This is a very lovely restaurant with an attractive menu and our primary server was very amiable. The compliments stop there. While recognizing the potential challenge for the kitchen staff to timely serve a midsized group, there is little to excuse a 20 minute wait for the opportunity to place drink orders followed by a similar period for the delivery of drinks. That followed by an even longer period to place dinner orders, which unfortunately afforded our amiable server the opportunity to engage in the time honored restauranteur practice of the upsell. Several in my group succumbed. The kitchen’s performance in exchange for an $ 1100 + tab was just shy of pathetic. Examples: Orders of veal served raw and sent back. Orders of Orzo with chicken and sausage served actually cold and little to distinguish it from a canned product. Steaks notable for gristle, generic vegetable sides and little to reflect a Greek influence. In the interest of balance, two orders of pastitsio were reported as good. Other reviewers have commented on the sub-par bread service. The soft white bread was indeed below average. It was, sadly, also the best part of the meal, including the complimentary shot of «Greek port»(whatever that is) offered at the end. I really wanted to enjoy this restaurant — it looks the part. On this occasion, it was, however, among the poorest price/quality dining values I have ever experienced. The final indignity — the tab was paid in cash and several members of the wait staff actually blocked the exit preventing any member of the group from departing until the cash was counted. I suppose management had reason to be suspicious of a group of 55 — 65 year old gents in golf attire on a Friday evening in the middle of one of the most popular golf destinations in the US. If you desire an «ethnic» food option, do yourself a favor, go to the German Gasthof in Southern Pines. Authentic, delicious and friendly.

Food was delicious but not worth the wait. Were seated at 7:30 but didn’t get dinner until 9:15. Understand it was a busy weekend in Pinehurst; however do not fill your restaurant up if your kitchen can’t handle it.

We like to go through Pinehurst on our way to Southport! We were disappointed the Mediterranean restaurant we had been dining at had closed, but finding Theo’s was a treat! Awesome atmosphere and even better food!!!

Would give it 5 stars if food hadn’t taken so long. Have eaten here in the past and service was not great. Service better tonight but food took a while to come out. I got the gyro platter and it was fantastic! My son got the Stromboli(his first ever) and said it was great. Don’t sit outside during the sumner as flies are really bad. Overall, would definitely recommend!

Theos is a great place to go in the Village. The food is really good and not as expensive as some of the other places around the area. If it’s a nice day, be sure to eat outside. They have a great patio with beautiful flowers and sculptures. I mark Theos down(from 5 stars) for two reasons:(1) the service is usually sub-par and(2) the bread(unlike the olive oil) is really cheap.

Beautiful day to sit on the patio, they have a great patio. We got a pomegranate sangria that was realllllly good and just shared a grilled octopus special and and olive appetizer. The waitress told me that owner is from Sparta Greece and he gets olives sent to him from there and makes his own olive oil and olive spread. I got some of each to take home!
