Chicago Custom Tattoo

I’ve been here for 3 tattoos now and I am a raving fan!
The shop is bright, clean, and comfortable.
Kurt is truly an artist! He is talented and he is a professional at his craft.
On top of that his outgoing, friendly and at times sarcastic personality is perfect for a fun, and relaxing tattooing experience.
I receive so many compliments on his work. Every time I come here he takes my ideas and transforms them into a tattoo that blows my expectations out of the water!
I will never go anywhere else!

I was having trouble finding a reputable tattoo parlor in the Pinellas county area and after lots of looking I came across favorable reviews for this shop. I looked at Kurt and Dave’s portfolios online and decided that Dave would be the best fit for the type of tattoo I was looking for.
Dave had my wife and I come in a few days ahead of time so that he could sketch up some rough ideas of the tattoos we were looking for. He even went above and beyond and sent photos of his initial drawings of my wife’s tattoo to her. Then on the day of her tattoo when she didn’t like something he changed it to better suit her vision without any complaining.
The shop quoted us what I believe was a fair price for both tattoos and stuck to it. Dave did a great job and never complained about me fidgeting throughout the process. Both Dave and Kurt were very professional and honest with their thoughts on what would work in each tattoo and what would end up looking less than stellar.
I will definitely go back to this shop for my next tattoo. The shop is clean and both artists carry themselves professionally. They also accept credit card which is not always the case with most tattoo shops.

I went here for 3 sessions and paid for 3 sessions. Tattoo was never finished and want be going back. Make sure the doors are locked and the phone is off the hook to get the tattoo done. Otherwise you will sit there waiting like I did for 3 sessions. Will be going elsewhere to have the tattoo finished. Just FYI: was told by Kurt it would be $ 300 and 2 sessions. It’s been $ 450 and still is not done after 3 sessions. Elbow to shoulder one side of arm tattoo.

This was my first tattoo and Kurt at Chicago Tattoo made it a great experience. I took my art to him and explained what I was looking for. In a couple days he texted his suggestion and I really liked it. He explained everything in detail and answered all my questions. He took his time, putting great detail into the art. He set me at ease while he was doing the tattoo and checked often to see if I needed a break. I appreciated him chatting with me and putting me at ease during the process. Thanks Kurt for making my first tattoo a great one. I would definitely recommend him and his shop.

Kurt is awesome. He can design anything you dream up. Beat my expectations on my work. He’s very fair on his prices. His shop is super clean and you don’t feel like you’re in a tattoo shop. He doesn’t have racks and racks of tattoo ideas, just a few books and his imagination.
