Tampa Bay Automobile Museum

A wonderful place to spend an afternoon. Very knowledgeable staff. There are a lot of background stories associated with each car. Each car has a very unique story. It is a small collection but each car is faithfully restored and driveable. You can get up close to these cars. You should set aside a couple of hours to fully view these cars.

I had the fortunate pleasure of getting a private tour of this collection and it is amazing. These types of collections are rare to say the least. All the cars are restored to their original specifications and are road worthy, yes each car is tagged with a current Florida license plate and is ready to be driven at any time. Each car in this collection represents a significant advancement in technology and a unique achievement in engineering.
I also had the pleasure to go behind the scenes into the garage areas where the cars are restored and maintained and talk with the very skilled craftsmen who recreate these amazing pieces of art. I had a sneak peek at some very exciting projects which I won’t disclose any details of, but there are some incredible projects in the making so I definitely will return.

Gary made our experience very pleasurable. He gave us lots of unknown information on the eclectic collection of European cars. The cars that were there, which can change often because they are all register cars that are driven by the owner, were well taken care of, maintained, and restored beautifully.

My husband and I live right across from this museum and thought we should check this place out. The admission is $ 8 and $ 5 for military/​students.
They have over 50 cars and mostly European. Although you cannot touch anything obviously, you can come up really close and look inside the engines and stuff. The staffs are knowledgeable. 30 minutes would be enough to look around unless you are a complete car expert.
I did give a three star but do not get me wrong. I am not a person who is into cars. If you love cars, you would most likely enjoy this museum.

Booked a group event for The Tampa Bay MINI Motoring Club at the Museum and it was the best experience. The staff were fantastic to work with and the facility is amazing. If you love older cars stop by, if you are looking for an interesting venue for a company or group event give them a call

This small museum has an eclectic collection of mostly European (especially French), definitely one-​of-​a-​kind automobiles from the 1920’s through the 1980’s, including a real live DeLorean! (But no flux capacitor, I checked.) They’re all owned by some rich French dude, Alain Cerf. The man has good taste.
It’s expensive fun ($ 16/​hour: $ 8 admission and takes about 30 minutes to tour the entire museum) but certainly a unique collection, randomly situated in the middle of a St. Petersburg office park.
Definitely give it a go, but unless you’re a die hard antique car lover, once is certainly all you’ll need.

An small but distinctive and outstandingly displayed collection of unusual automobiles, mostly European. This museum doesn’t get a lot of attention, but it shouldn’t be missed by anyone who loves classics cars.
These are beautifully restored and cared for automobiles, several of which have won top awards in the top shows. They belong to a single collector, Alain Cerf, and his taste is exquisite. He acquired each of the 60 or so autos because of its engineering significance. Some of the notable cars include a 1937 Peugeot Darl’mat which raced at LeMans in 1937 – 38 and which is soon going on auction for a minimum price of $ 600,000. Quite rare are the beautiful 1927 Avions Voisin and a 1938 Panhard-​Dynamic along with a most handsome 1930 Tracta E. Don’t know thee cars? That’s one of the virtues of this museum – you’ll discover a lot about some little known cars (at least little known by us).
There’s a terrific 1929 front-​wheel drive Ruxton along with some uncommonly featured French cars: Delahaye, Salmson and Talbot. And you are free to walk around each car and peer inside. Photos are permitted, and there are helpful attendance (the owner’s wife) available to talk details about the collection. In sum, we spend a fabulous afternoon here and recommend it highly for automobile aficionados.
