Great doughnuts! Also have bagels and muffins and lots of drinks. Nice couple that have been in business there for 12 years and survived the Krispy Kreme invasions in Pinole (twice). Love the apple fritters, donut holes, chocolate bars, sugar, crumb and glazed doughnuts. Fresh and yummy. They even have a decent selection when I sleep in late on the weekends. Can be a lot of traffic if it is time for the high school to start in the morning, so best if you can avoid that, but definitely worth going.

Best donuts in town — hands down! They are always freshly made and the taste is amazing. They are very quick about their service and they have plenty of choices to choose from donuts, to drinks, to breakfast items. There is also a seating area inside which makes for a nice morning. They also have a tv and newspapers available. The only thing that can get rather tricky is the parking. Since this place is shared with other business next door, it can get rather full quickly, especially on the weekend. Other than that, I definitely recommend this place for their great customer service and great prices. It is also right off the freeway which makes for easy access. Check this place out if you are in the area of if you haven’t already.

Went in on a Sunday morning, nice stream of customers before and after me, great speedy kind service.
I got a dozen of the half n half custard and jelly filled donut holes for $ 3.50, the price isn’t listed on the board, but i was willing to pay. They are both delicious!!! So worth it.
It leaves a crack in my heart that EBCC sells these donut holes for twice or three times the price. A business is a business afterall…

Personally one of my favorite donut shops in the bay. Donuts are always fresh with plenty of selection. I actually went to high school right next to this place but had different ownership at the time. This place is much better now since then. The lady usually gives a free donut when you buy a dozen. A bakers dozen. Very much appreciated!

My go to place whenever I’m going on a early fishing trip considering they are open at 4:30am! The customer service is great and I’m always greeted when entering. Their breakfast bagels with egg is pretty good and their donuts are above average considering they are ALWAYS freshly cooked that day.

I have a very simple Saturday cheat day tradition; I’ll start my morning with a workout, and end it with a visit to alamode. Their donuts are good, but their custard donut holes are what really do it for me. They’re just sweet enough to tide me over, but not overpoweringly so in a way that makes you feel sluggish. They also come in jelly too!
Also, I’ll echo the previous reviewer — it’s awesome they take cards with no minimum.

This place is the best place to come for donuts! Why would you go to Krispy Kreme across the street when you come to a very friendly family owned business with home made donuts, pastries, coffee, and so much more. They have so much variety that its so hard to just get one donut but you walk out with a couple. The pricings are very inexpensive with so much to choose from! When you walk in it’s almost like your in donut heaven. This place is a must go to when ever your craving donuts!

Fresh daily, excellent glaze, light and fluffy. I can’t eat donuts anywhere else now! My entire office comes here for our crack donut fix!
My faves are the original glaze, donut holes and glaze twists.
Don’t go to Krispy Kreme across the street if this place is open.

May I have… Vanilla Round, Chocolate Bar & Maple Bar, please? Yes that is what you need to order at one session … I love the taste, but hate how it cause me to have a tire around my waist (#fat boy status, but I’m happy)

So many of my Unilocal friends have been here that yesterday while driving by and almost passing it up, I made a really quick and hard right turn into the driveway. It was around 3:00 PM, so we weren’t expecting either a nice assortment nor fresh donuts. I ran inside to do the honors. Also, if you were driving behind me when that happen, I apologize.
Strangely, there were quite a few different varieties left. Hmmm, I thought. Maybe this is going to be a disappointment. Yet, intent on trying the goods, I picked out a blueberry glazed cake, a plain old fashion and an apple fritter (more lovingly known as cow patties). Using my credit card since I usually don’t carry cash, I was told there would be a 50 cent charge. Even if I used my ATM card, same charge. Even if I spent more, same charge. Okay. That’s really a lot better than some places. And maybe I should start carrying around a few bucks.
Goodies are deposited into the ever useful bakery white bag and I head back with good intentions.
«You want to start eating them now» my fiancé’ asked. «YES!» Good grief. Who can really wait? They didn’t smell fresh, they didn’t smell at all. But Wow! The blueberry was soft, moist, fresh! Lots of great blueberry flavor. Best one ever and I can only imagine what it must be like when they first open!
Old fashion was very average. It was fresh, not stale as is so easy to achieve with a donut like that. To me, that’s a real test of a donut shop. If the plain old fashion is hard or, well, no… just hard, it’s a bad one. Not much else can go wrong with and old fashion.
So now we’re tearing into the apple fritter. Big pieces of cinnaminny apple chunks right away. Not greasy. Not crunchy. The crust lightly ‘snapps’ as you break through to the soft billowy fluffs of pastry with cinnamon swirl and apple filling. We actually saved half for dessert with our Corodado (affectionately known as RumNogg!). So good.
This donut shop has a real good thing going on. We will be back and hopefully earlier so we can try them warm. Even if we don’t get here right after opening, we will be back. Pinole has some very charming and wonderful places to visit and try. This is one if you haven’t been here. Not cheap, but not expensive. Our 3 donuts came to $ 3.35. But it was really worth it to have a nice afternoon taste test that was very tasty and surprisingly fresh!

This has been my favorite local donut shop since I can remember! If always be so excited when I’d see my grandma walk into the house with a pink box. Fast forward 20 years later and I’m still getting donuts from the same place. Of course, ownership has changed, but their donuts are still delicious!
It’s always best to come early in the morning when the donuts are fresh, but they’re still good in the late mornings. My personal favorites include their apple fritters and cinnamon rolls. I also love the donut holes, and they actually just recently started making them with custard and raspberry in the middle.
If you get here too late, though, they may not have the donut you’re looking for. I remember coming in and buying the last chocolate bar and my fiancée snagged the last dozen of raspberry filled donut holes, and sure enough, the lady who came in right after us was looking for those exact things. Oops! Mind you, it was almost 12 noon at this point.
As for coffee, I love the Hawaiian Macadamia Nut blend they serve, and the lady who works there makes excellent blended drinks!
I’ve always experienced great customer service here. Sometimes, the lady will even throw in a few extra items for us since we’re long time patrons. We really appreciate that!

My favorite local donut shop! They have a wide selection of donuts and the owners are so nice and greet me everytime, I come in. They are very friendly and it’s nice to go to a neighborhood donut place and they are like that with you. This is the only place I get my donuts for work meetings even when it’s out of the way. ;-)

Great neighborhood donut shop run by friendly owners. I’ve heard that this place has been around for a while and is a known entity in Pinole. The have a nice selection of raised and cake donuts. They also have supersized fritters and croissants. On the savory side they have ready wrapped bagels to go.
Tip to know — there’s a Krispy Kreme right across the street but this place is better!

We go to in the early evening where inventory is pretty low but still have a good amount. The lady at the counter is always super friendly and gives us free donuts all the time.

I believe eating donuts is a indulgence. Something to have when you’re stress, want to please your co workers, or just plain «I got paid, I’m a spend it» feeling.
So with that being said, donuts don’t come very often to my life. But when it does, this is the place to go.
It’s the old school donut shop you would go to when you were young. They even still serve it in their pink boxes which adds to the nostalgia.
Their donuts are all of the classics. Jelly filled, sprinkles, long chocolate bars… And all taste like heaven.
The staff is very friendly and I’ve never had any issues. Come early for the freshest donuts.

An office colleague introduced me to Alamode when he brought some in for the office. There is something special about their doughnuts. They just seem both tastier and fresher than any other I have tried. Their doughnuts are more traditional, not the super sweet and light Krispy Kreme type. Before I got on my health kick we would actually make a special trip here for doughnuts!!!
