Late for first appointment at 3pm –called office to learn 4pm. Thought best to reschedule because dark around 5pm. Late again for 2^nd appointment at 1:30p, called office, told 2:30p but Richard arrived 2:50p. Contrary to positive reviews on Unilocal
Richard said he will have office schedule in more time between jobs to allow on-​time arrival.
Once Richard got here, he was terrific, understood what needed to be done with reattaching loose gutter on our house. Checked all the gutters, new bolts on any areas needing reattaching. Same for a loose cable bracket on front of garage. He was done in an hour. We used the discount coupon — great value. We would like to use his services again.

Richard came back with a helper (Eddie) to paint the garage, a storage closet off the patio, and to work on the kitchen vent. My home inspection guy told me the vent was set up to recirculate back into the kitchen, but could be modified to vent to the outside. While Eddie painted, Richard took care of the kitchen vent. Additionally, on his previous visit Richard had taken measurements of both patio doors and all of the windows (one living room, one in one bedroom, and one in the kitchen) for blinds.
I had gone to Home Depot, but couldn’t get someone to help me (people would stop by and call for someone, but no one ever came). They finally told me to get a free home estimate, that they would call within 48 h. When they didn’t, I asked Richard about it, and he said he could take care of it (for a small additional fee). I appreciated Richard going to Home Depot to deal with purchasing the blinds and getting them cut.
It took Eddie longer than anticipated to paint the garage; it didn’t get done that day. Richard replaced the screens (they were torn) for both patio doors, and installed the blinds for the patio door in the bedroom.
Richard and Eddie came back a couple days later. Eddie painted the garage while Richard finished the kitchen vent. Richard also installed the rest of the blinds, but found that the top pieces had been incorrectly cut at Home Depot. So he had to go back and get properly cut ones at Home Depot. I had also mentioned to Richard on the previous visit that the toilet felt like it was not secure. So when they returned, he found that it wasn’t properly seated, and installed a second wax ring, and got it secured. He also fixed a loose freezer handle on my fridge.
It took Eddie a while to paint the garage and the closet, and it had gotten dark. Richard said he was taking me off the clock, and helped Eddie finish up his painting.
The paint job looks great– the garage and storage closet, and the blinds that Richard put in are also working great. The toilet is firmly seated, the freezer handle is solid, and the kitchen vent appears to be working (haven’t really done any cooking yet). I’ve been happy with the work that Richard has done– he seems like a reliable go-​to if I have any other work that needs to be done. In fact, I talked to him about putting shelves in the garage, and he gave me some advice on possibly using a container store elfa system, or something similar from Home Depot. But at any rate, he said if I thought about it and maybe consulted with the container store, that he could handle the installation. So likely I’ll have future work for Richard to take care of. I’ve been very happy with the service supplied by Handyman Elite.

Richard Dickinson and another person came on time and worked on sealing the attick for 1.5 hours. Upon completion of the job, they showed me pictures before and after the work was done.

Richard and crew are hardworking and conscientious. In addition to doing a good work on the various residential jobs we had (two pocket doors, stairway handrail, and ceiling lights), they were prompt, polite and pleasant. They gave me a great price estimate, described exactly what they planned to do and then did what they said they would do. We liked all three men that worked at our house and intend to ask them for estimates on several other projects in the future.

I hired Handyman Elite to re-​paint my bathroom ceiling which had experienced mold related damage. I was impressed by their technical knowledge (they told me about a particular type of primer that could help prevent future mold build-​up) and pleased when they arrived at my home right on time, and completed the work in about the same time as they estimated. My guess is that you can find cheaper handyman services on CraigsList, but if you have a job that requires a professional who really knows what he’s doing, the hourly rate these folks charge is well worth it. I will definitely hire these guys again.

I own a vacation rental and needed 2 repairs within 3 hours before the next guest arrived. If possible, of course! Richard inspected, made the purchases, returned and finished before the new guest arrived! Amazing! He did a thorough job of repairing, not just a quick fix on the broken bed frame, inspected the toilets for any other problems than a loose flush handle; found more and fixed those too. I live 7 hours away, so they were able to take my CC and send me photos. Done & Done! Both he and Mike were wonderful on the phone too. Try them, you will like them!
