The food and service at El Tapatio are good. The main problem with the restaurant is that it is in an old hotel that has been heavily smoked in through the years. The handful of times that I have been to El Tapatio, my eyes have watered the entire time from the smell of the stale cigarette smoke and whatever air freshener the hotel has used to cover it up. Ruins the meal for me every time…
