We are locals and love The Dairy Bar! They have a large selection of soft serve and hard ice cream. If you can’t find something on the board, they’re happy to make you a custom dreamy dessert! The brownie sundae is awesome. I’ve had them make me a «reese sundae» with chocolate and peanut butter sauce, and it’s delicious! There’s a nice sitting area to enjoy your cold treat. The staff are always sweet themselves. It’s never been crazy busy when we’ve been there, so you’re not waiting forever. It’s our go-to when we get a sweet craving. Go and enjoy!

I can’t really elaborate that much, because it’s ice cream, but it was among the best ice cream I’ve ever had in my life. I got some kind of coffee and chocolate concoction that seriously has me considering driving back to Brevard to get it. Absolutely delicious.

The Dairy Bar was the cure for what ailed ya after a hike in the Pisgah National Forest. They have A LOT of ice cream flavors — anything from vanilla, chocolate, mint chocolate chip, peanut butter, cookies ‘n’ cream, butter pecan, etc., etc. and they have several sundae options. If you can’t find something here, you don’t like ice cream!
The Dairy Bar is located next to a gas station, and is very small so you’ll have to look for it. It would be best to look for the 2 – 3 rainbow-colored umbrellas over picnic tables. There are only a few parking spaces, and a few chairs and picnic tables. We saw some folks simply eat in their cars.
Delicious! Definitely stop here if you’re in the area!
