The people were very nice there. For bar b q they only have a pulled pork sandwich. I ordered the pulled pork basket which came with coleslaw and fries. It was just OK. I was thinking about a burger which they said were good. They have 2 sizes, a 2.5 Oz and 4oz. Pretty small Patty of meat in my book. The size of my large sandwich was OK. Fries were krinkle cut. All in all I can’t say this place seems to have anything special. Just seems like standard food service items.

This is a perfect place to eat lunch after enjoying Sliding Rock! The hamburgers are awesome and barbecue is delicious. Although the restaurant seems small, the food is outstanding and the staff is friendly.

Daggie’s locally-sourced beefalo burgers(range from $ 6.00-$ 9.50 depending on what you get) are DELICIOUS! It’s also located right outside Pisgah National Forest so it’s a great stop after a hike! The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is I wish they had hush-puppies(they have everything but)

Burger was great and curly fries were delicious. Try the beefalow burger. Don’t let the small building fool you. They have a large selection on the menu.

My family and friends found this place through Unilocal… but still was skeptical, yet hopeful. Thankfully we stopped and had the most amazing hamburgers. Real beef, cooked to order and very yummy and juicy. We loved it and highly recommend this little burger joint. We will definitely return when we come back to visit… yum!!!

The Channel 70 Productions crew was shooting a project in the very nearby National Forest when lunchtime rolled around. We just happened across Daggie’s(the woman who owns the place is Dagmar) and glad we did. It is a 1960’s lunchstand that hasn’t changed much in the ensuing decades. That’s a good thing. Big and tasty everything, but the fries or onion rings are not cooked in lard or shortening, sadly. They serve huge, delicious, beefalo burgers that are fantastic. There is very little sitting room, but some tables are outside if there is good weather(rare in the northeastern US compared to CA, AZ, or FL). I almost got caught up short when I discovered Daggie’s doesn’t accept credit cards. They should fix that. Otherwise, you should visit Daggie’s when in the area.
