This place has amazing food! They were able to accommodate 5 of us for dinner. I had the black and blue wrap and it was so tasty! My friends had, the Reuben, Trout, the Brie chicken wrap, and the Brie chicken salad wrap. The Brussel Sprouts were fantastic! Service and atmosphere was perfect. Great choice!

Dinner for 2 adults and 2 kids. Friendly waitstaff and food was excellent the potatoe latkes with a cucumber sauce maybe wrongly titled, but were exceptional and the sauce was devine. Across the board food was very very good and would return if I was a local. We are very critical but couldn’t say anything but nice things about this place!

I have been saying for a long time I want to go try the Phoenix I bought a Groupon for my mom for Christmas to go try the Phoenix. Today she says lets go it was for lunch. I am absolutely amazed how good the food was. Three of us went and had 3 different meals and ALL three were just delicious. We had the Cream of Mushroom soup and Phoenix Salad, Crab Stuffed Avocado, and the Fried Green Tomatoes as well as the Fried Pickles. The food was very good. The atmosphere was quiet and we had a really nice lunch. Service was great and we will certainly go back to the Phoenix. A very pleasant place for a small tucked away place in Brevard. My compliments to the Chef. I do not understand why there are negative reviews here.

Fantastic food. The deep fried avocado with lump crabmeat was amazing. My husband and I also split the egg basket burger which was amazing also. Service was terrific and our server gave us some recommendations for things to do around the area. Her recommendations were spot on!!!

The first time we had brunch here, it was very good food. But this time, it was not! Let me explain. We each had the eggs benedict ‘veronica’. English muffin with sliced tomato and avocado with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Should be good, right? The muffin and eggs were fine. But they must have been very short on the rest. Under the eggs was a tiny piece of tomato, a tiny slice of avocado, and a tiny drip of hollandaise over the top. The side of potatoes were very over-fried — burned. The waiter was overworked, and short with us. As two stars suggest: Meh. I’ve experienced better.

Can’t understand all the mediocre reviews, food was delicious, staff was awesome and prices were reasonable.

Did not try the food… Do come here for music and a super cocktail. Place is rustic and very cute, with nice art(for sale) on the walls. We came after we had dinner, I ordered Fire on the Mountain(pineapple habanero infused margarita) which was fabulous! Lively and fun we hung around for a while, listening to the live band. By the way the plates of food looked great, and people were raving. We will definitely come back!

This is our 2nd time eating here and this was by far the BEST. My husband and I both got burgers that come with seasoned home fries and they were great and the burgers were well seasoned and fresh. I got the basic burger and my husband got the Apple Brie and it said the apple in there made it so refreshing and really lightened it up. Our Server Sam was a delight. He always kept an eye on us and I never had to sit and wait when I needed something like condiments. He always refilled our drinks making sure they never got low. He is very attentive and WHEN we come back he will be requested.

Everything we have ordered has been very good, and high quality food. A large percentage of their food is sourced locally. Reuben was made with corned beef made in house. Fried pickles are great. Quesadilla was excellent. Even my daughters chicken fingers were great. I disagree with some of the reviews of this place stating it was over priced. Is it cheap? No. Is it worth it? Yes.

Pretty good food, but service was pretty awful. Took 20 minutes to order. Beers took like 10 minutes to come out. After dessert coffee was forgotten and when reminded, came out lukewarm. Too bad as we like the idea of the place and the food was good.

Read reviews and wanted to give it try. As we approached restaurant some of the staff were sitting out front right next to the front door smoking. Classy joint. I checked menu in window and it looked enticing. Didn’t bother going in as my first impression served me better. Maybe another time

During a short visit to Brevard, we went to The Phoenix for dinner on recommendations from a friend. This small-ish, casual restaurant is located just a block or two off of the main drag(Broad Street) on Gaston Street. The Phoenix is a nice choice if you’re looking for a full-sized dinner that’s on the healthy side, especially if you’re interested in a farm-to-table meal. We each had a burger(all are available as beef, chicken, tempeh, or portobello), and I’d recommend these to anyone. The appetizer salad and burgers(with side of «flash-fried» brussels sprouts) were good, but not amazing. The prices and service were on point. The local art covering the walls was a highlight. Tip: The Phoenix is just around the corner from Brevard Brewing Company, another great local spot.

Cool atmosphere in the evenings with live music. We ate from the Farmers to Table menu and it was not worth the price for us.

The service was great. Jazz band on Sunday that added to the atmosphere. Had fried green tomatoes with shrimp. It was awesome. They have a Bloody Mary bar so u can make your own, very cute. Only negative ordered clam chowder n they were out only two hours after opening. Poor planning shouldn’t happen.

The food was amazing! I had the trout and my wife had the pork tenderloin. But the food just scratches the surface. The friendly, welcoming atmosphere, as well as the live music made this a dinning experience to remember. If you want to feel welcomed by the community your dinning in, go to the Phoenix.

So first: we had fantastic service! Our waiter was attentive, enthusiastic, and polite. The atmosphere is great – it is well-decorated and has soft lighting. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Kebabs, which included grilled chicken and vegetables with rice, black beans, and corn tortillas. It was supposed to come with a Cilantro Avocado Cream Sauce, but it was really just some mashed avocado. The grilled chicken and vegetables were excellent and had great flavor, but the rice and beans had no seasoning whatsoever – not even salt. Given the meal, I was surprised about the lack of spices(cumin, cilantro, SOMETHING…). Overall, it wasn’t too bad, though priced a bit high($ 18). My partner ordered the Grilled Mountain Trout. The shrimp and potato hash was excellent(I had to steal a bite), and they made the sauce without cream per my partner’s request, which was great.

I was passing through Brevard on my way home to GA, and cast about for a cute lunch spot. The Phoenix is a beautiful place, clean, well-decorated and comfortable, and they had live music at noon on a Sunday. That’s the good. The bad: I had to change my order when they did not have the dish I requested(they’d only been open an hour), they then promptly forgot about me when I asked for a minute to decide on something else. When they remembered me 15 – 20 minutes later, I ordered the Butternut Squash Bisque and the Eggs Benedict. Well, they forgot the soup and came back 10 – 15 minutes later asking which soup I wanted. I reminded the waiter, and then the soup and the eggs Benedict came out at the exact same time, which is a minor annoyance, but I wouldn’t have cared at all if the food had been good. It was not. The soup was called a bisque, but it was more like a mash, and was so peppery that I couldn’t finish it. The eggs were a bit salty though not bad, but the home fries had no flavor that I could discern at all. Over all, the food was not good, the service was frustratingly slow and sparse, the menu was inaccurate, and the price high. It was frustrating for such an attractive looking place to miss the mark so widely where it really counts. Next time I’m passing through, I’ll try the greasy pizza place next door. Everyone else at the Phoenix seemed to be having a grand old time, I wonder what their secret was…

Very impressed with the friendly service and delicious food. Fabulous fresh food, sourced from local farms. And served beautifully! The atmosphere is casual with a bit of upscale class mixed in. We were thoroughly impressed with the friendliness of each server and the manager… Every single one working tonight came to our table at some point to see how we were doing. They were super friendly to our toddler and offered crayons and anything we needed! The food is awesome… A fair variety of dishes on the dinner menu… Salads, soup, appetizers, specialty drinks and wine… Even a pub menu with wraps, veggie burger and more. Everyone loved what they got. We didn’t order from the menu for our toddler so I’m not sure what was on there for kiddos. The atmosphere is a neat mix with the lounge area, eating area, and bar. They had live music which was just starting as we were finishing up. Overall, a fabulous place!!! We’ve gone twice and will make it a regular spot now.

Food good. Service less than stellar. Was kind of wondering what they might be smoking in back :-) Too bad, really because it’s a cool spot and the food is tasty. We’ll give it another shot when there’s more competent staff on shift.

OMG! Do NOT miss this restaurant! The mountain trout sauce was so good, I ordered bread to finish the rest of the sauce! Shrimp Diablo was spectacular and the Panko crusted Brie was WOW! A must if you’re anywhere near Brevard!
