Here is our story. My husband is stage IV mestatic prostate cancer and we wanted to start traveling while he was able. We purchased had purchased a trailer from another dealership and decided to look at a fifth wheel to make it easier on him and I. He can’t do very much due to all the surgeries and radiation and other treatments he had, so we decided that a fifth wheel might be better. We went to skyriver in November 2013. The purchase went well. We did have some issues with the NEW 2104 Keystone Cougar 5^th wheel, every time we took it in for repair, it took over a month for them to fix the minor issues. We still continued to have issues, so we decided in 2015 to look at other fifth wheels on skyriver’s lot, to get an idea of how to fix the problems ourselves (we had lost monies on our reservations at parks because they always put our fifth wheel last on their list and just bandaged the problems). Funny thing is that we purchased it from them and had purchased the extended warranty from them too. Anyways, the same salesman that we purchased the fifth wheel from, came up to us to see what options we might have to resolve our issues (you would think the service dept would have figured it out so we wouldn’t have to). While we were looking, we just casually asked what they had on their lot for a used motorhome that we might be able to afford. Even though they slacked on their service on the fifth wheel, we did not give up on Skyriver. The fifth wheel was starting to get a little hard for us now, due to my husband’s health getting worse. This salesman showed us a 2005 Fleetwood discovery and we liked however told him with medical bills we could not afford. He said don’t worry, «We Love You» and will make it work. OK, ended up purchasing it. We were so confused. There was no communication between us, the salesman, the sales mgr, the finance person (which is the sales mgr’s wife) and service dept. The extended warranty that was $ 5600.+ and was not explained to us what was covered. We did not get the RV till end of December and we bought it in November. Again, there was some communication issues between the sales and service dept. and we got caught in there issues and they took it out on us. We had several issues with the RV. They NEVER did a PDI and we had to keep going back trying to gets things fixed. We got yelled at by the service manager Cliff and his wife Amy (they both work in the same dept) I got hung up on. All we wanted is to get the RV fixed. We paid for something that we could not use. Now in January 2016, my husband brought back the RV again, due to other issues that they did not fix. He asked the service mgr why was there water all over the carpet behind the driver’s side, from a week ago when the RV was there. Cliff said he didn’t know, he said maybe one of the mechanics probably left a window open and water got in when it rained. He DID NOT check to see what it was. Well guess what, they sold us an RV that has a SEVERE LEAK in the roof and DID NOT disclose it to us. So now we have a major leak, the side wall behind the driver seat is buckled, the carpet is drenched with water and the RV SMELLS OF MOLD. I left the sales mgr (Max) a mssg, which he never returned (always an issue) and we called the salesman (Nick) and he said he was with someone and will call us back, which never happened. So no one is reurning our calls. OK, this is where we get upset and take it personal, they took advantage of a CANCER patient. No care in the world, knowing his poor health. I did some research and was told to NEVER buy from skyriver rv. They DO NOT take care of their previous buyers. SHAME ON THEM. We will Never purchase from them again. Buyers BEWARE. They lie a lot, never return your calls and take advantage of CANCER patients. They just don’t care. We trusted them. Now we have an RV that we can’t use and paid a lot for.

My husband & I had traded in our 99′ Monaco for an 08′ grand Junction. Of coarse they made a bunch of promises, like we’ll clean the coach from top to bottom, we’ll do a complete safety check & we’ll fix the issue you noticed. I don’t think anyone CLEANED that trailer unless they were blind & I would have to believe that the person doing the safety check was an idiot cause when we took it camping the first weekend we had it, the built-​in generator kept shutting off when we would run the microwave & then when we got home, my husband had noticed that one of the tires had a huge bulge in it. Boy, I’m so glad we decided to take it on our own shake-​down trip before going very far from home. After he noticed those things we decided to take it back to sky river for them to fix the generator at least cause it is under warranty still. Now, my husband keeps calling to see if it’s done or if anyone has even looked at it yet & nobody will call us back & it’s been there about 3weeks now! Not good business!!!

We are a family that thoroughly researches things (to death) and have been contemplating updating our 20 year old 5^th wheel. We took that big step today! And I am so happy to acknowledge Sky River RV. It was a very nice experience. Frank was a perfect «salesman», it is in quotes because there was NO pressure. He wanted us to be completely satisfied with our purchase. We then completed paperwork with Max. Again, a very pleasant experience. We finished the transaction with Kimi — the finance gal. She was a hoot! Love her! I am so excited and can’t wait for our first trip in our new fifth wheel. If you want to work with people that actually want to work with YOU — go there first. You will not need to go any further. AND FORGET ABOUT TRAILER HITCH in Nipomo. Eric works there and he is costing his company serious bank. Eric, it is not still a «man’s world.» Get over yourself.

While on vacation my husband and I went to Sky River RV and found what we thought was perfect for us, however, after Max and his team trying to make it work within our guidelines we were not able to make a deal. Although the communication during the deal was not to our expectations, Max did reach out and tried to make it right. We appreciate that, customer service is first and foremost in our book! Thanks again!

The folks here are always helpful. We bought our 5^th wheel from them 2 years ago and have always been satisfied with any service we’ve needed.

We recently bought a wonderful used RV from Sky River Pismo. I wish there were ten stars to click!!! Absolutely amazing experience after having looked for a year… Shawn Densford is your guy! No pressure at all– super informative but only as much as you want– extremely knowledgeable– and no games. Super super nice guy.
I can’t say enough good… not only about him but the manager, Max… He is amazing. I didn’t feel like I was taken for anything– very straight forward place. Buying from them was such an amazing experience. The repair shop on site fixed everything that was broken for the great sale price that we got! If you’re able, go visit Sky River Pismo, CA… I’ll never buy from anywhere else.

My husband and I recently took our coach to Sky River in Pismo for service. While we were there he decided to look at the new coaches. We were met by a cheerful energetic salesman, Micah. He was not only knowledgeable, but also gave us time to look around on our own. After a couple hours of exploring on our own, we were discussing actually buying a new coach!!!
Max the sales manager was able to get us into the coach we wanted with out going over what we were comfortable with paying. He was extremely patient, answering our many questions.
Kimi from finance was always friendly and at the same time professional and thorough. She would not let us leave until she was sure we understood all aspects of the legal aspects of buying a new coach.
Amy in service has been very helpful and communicated every step of the way. We were also impressed that there were several Veterans working there, from the Viet Nam war and serving in Iraq. I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THOSE GUYS FOR THEIR SERVICE.

A couple of months ago, my wife and I were across the street from Sky River at a very lovely RV park, when my wife suggested we go over and «just look» at motor homes. Ours was getting older and was a bit too small for our plans to become full-​time RVer’s. I’m still shaking my head that in a matter of days, we drove out of there with a brand new Thor Tuscany diesel pusher, our dream motor coach, except that we could never have dreamed like that. Sean got us started, very kind and friendly — not pushy at all. Max was great. He had absolutely no intention of letting us leave without it, knowing how excited we were about the possibility. He wasn’t pushy, either. He was genuinely interested in making our deal happen. Kimi somehow made the banks compete for our business and, as a result, got us an even better deal than we had accepted. She was tireless. These are very caring people who wanted to help us make our dreams come true. And that they did. The support staff behind them was amazing, too, getting all the details handled in good time. Now, just in case you think there were no hiccups, well there were a few. But, for me, the true measure of a company is not whether or not it’s perfect. Nobody is. Rather, it’s that they do what’s necessary to make things right. And, I guess they did, because we were not looking to buy. We were «just looking.» Ha!

My family and I set forth several months ago trying to find the right coach. I don’t know if its the same for everyone but this was one if the most exhaustive processes that we have gone through… that was until we met Sean from Sky River.
Literally the negotiation was 15 minutes over the phone. To set the bar higher, we needed the coach to be ready in under 24 hours. The process was extremely easy (thanks Max!) and the service team was outstanding.
We took delivery of the coach and everything was seamless. We had issues the first day of camping and called Sean, unable to troubleshoot the problem over the phone Sean showed up at our camping spot the next morning. We resolved most of the issues but determined that the coach would need to be returned for service.
Amy was absolutely fantastic! She jumped through a bunch of hoops to get the issues fixed and back to us quickly… it was very easy and straight forward.
We went through almost every dealer in Southern California, and Arizona… do yourself a big favor, go to SkyRiver first. You will not be disappointed.

We have been looking into buying an RV for many years and have never really come across a dealer that has been willing to work with us. We are younger than the average RV’ers which can sometimes cause sales people to stay away from us (sadly). However, after seeing some great deals online (especially during the summer season) we decided to stop by our local dealer and check it out! We were immediately approached by a husband/​wife team on golf carts who immediately greeted us and began the search to find us what we were looking for. There were no assumptions made based on our age or our ethnicity as we had experienced other places. We found the perfect RV based on our wish list and specifications and we were then turned over to a different salesman to proceed with the test drive and exploration of our possible purchase (he was patient, friendly, and knowledgable as well). Long story short. Max the Sales Team Leader worked diligently with us to make our dream come true and we drove away in our NEW… Used (4,000 miles) 2014 Thor ACE Motor Coach! It is absolutely beautiful! During the signing process we were able to work with Kimi who was such a joy to spend time with. They both worked really hard to make sure we were satisfied and went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. We were able to purchase some accessories at the store onsite and the sales person there was helpful and friendly as well. I would recommend you give this local gem a chance and allow them to make your dream a reality!

I’m glad I have the opportunity to write a review for Sky River RV in Pismo Beach. For the last five years, my wife and I have been shopping for a new RV, and like shopping for a new car, the process is often frustrating and tiresome. When we stopped into Sky River (Pismo Beach), my skepticism grew. After all, who would buy an RV in a beach town? Well, the answer is us! As soon as we met Bill (the sales person), and Max (the general manager), it was easy to see that we had come to the right place. While Bill exuded expertise (with a sense of humor), Max displayed both professionalism and support for our needs. We both felt as though we had known these gentlemen for a long time, as they made us feel at ease with our decision making process. Additionally, when I asked Max to have our new Vegas RV ready within a week, all he said was: «I want to make you guys happy; I’ll get it done.» Max fulfilled his promise, and we are now the proud owners of a Thor 2016 Vegas 25.2. Thank you to all at Sky River RV, Pismo Beach, and those who made our dream come true.

WOULD NOT RECOMEND BUYING ANY PARTS HERE! Worst service ever. ordered wrong parts was lied to several times never called back very shady people don’t trust them don’t know how they are still in business don’t waste your time just go online

After several years of research my wife and I decided to purchase a Newmar Motorhome. Then we faced the challenge of which dealer to buy from. We searched throughout the country and decided to look at the coaches in
San Diego County. Although it would be an 8 hour drive to get there, we were willing. I contacted Newmar to ask an unrelated question and they told me that the very coach we were looking for was on its way to Sky River RV in Pismo Beach. We spoke to Max at Sky River and he confirmed that a new 2015 Newmar Canyon Star 3610 was «on the road from the factory». He told us that he would keep us updated on its arrival and asked us to consider shopping with Sky River before traveling all the way to Southern California.
We made arrangements to see the coach in Pismo Beach and the team at that dealer was top notch. They were good communicators, professional in their negotiations and comprehensive in their approach to customer satisfaction.
Nick was an excellent salesman. Max made us an offer we couldn’t refuse. Kimi assisted us wonderfully on the financing and back-​end of the deal. Jeff in Service made good on the date of pick-​up.
It is without reservation that we recommend this RV dealer for their sales and service.

If you want to work with some top professionals go see Cliff, Amy, Mike and Jeff at the Pismo Beach Sky River RV service department. We recently had our Airstream in for a big repair job. They were all very helpful and focused on quality and getting the job done right.
You just know that they take pride in their work. And if it takes a day longer I’m happy to wait knowing that these folks are doing it right.

We found the perfect RV at Sky River, Pismo and was anxious to close the deal and start RVing!
Our great experience turned into a terrible nightmare that is still continuing a month after purchase.
We returned to pick up RV after the coach was gone through to make sure all was in working order. Door to the bathroom would not slide, a fuse was out in light and the rear auto jack would not retract, no batteries in smoke alarm and exterior paint was not touched up. Also we were told they would fill the propane tank. That didn’t happen. We drove 120 miles to pick it up and they apparently didn’t do a thing. We were talked into items like the Trident pkg. at a whopping $ 1695. Was told by service manager the coach would be detailed thoroughly before Trident applied, however carpets and vinyl were filthy. Bottoms of my bare feet were black on our maiden trip. Talked into Gap insurance and their warranty totaling $ 7200.00. We were told these items could be cancelled at any time, which I did request. Financing told me my principle balance would be reduced by $ 7200. I received my first bill and not to my surprise, Sky River was funded from the bank the total amount but Sky River never cut a check back to the bank so that the $ 7200 would be credited to my account. Also, I was told by the RV manager that I would receive $ 300 back towards the Trident package that I was told I could not cancel. Never have received the $ 300. I do not believe the check is in the mail. BEWARE they are all for the sale and fail terribly at customer service, financing and service. I should have walked away, no RUN. Better yet, DO NOT STEP FOOT INTO SKY RIVER RV OR ANY OF THEIR LOCATIONS.
UPDATE 8 days after I was promised a check would be cut to the bank and my principle balance would be reduced. STILL HAS NOT HAPPENED. Also an executed due bill in the amount of $ 300 back to me signed on May 14 has not been received as of June 18^th. Oh by the way the due bill is void as of May 25. Time to call my attorney. NOT SO HAPPY TRAILS.

Salesperson was rude and didn’t know the products. Lot was filthy. Sales office was not professional. Prices were extremely high. Not a pleasant experience. I do not recommend this company at all.

The young salesman who tried to help us was kind and did try, but sadly this is one of those places where they have a «Monster behind the curtain» negotiating process that the poor salesperson has to go back to over and over for the smallest thing.
Even though we had cash and our own financing, they tried to make us fill out the credit app and even lied, telling us it was not a credit application.
The whole time were there, an old man rode around in a golf cart, chain-​smoking. I asked who it was as I thought it might be someone’s Grandfather who was just hanging out for the day or someone from the local Senior Trailer Park who was lost or bored. Come to find out, this is a Sales Employee of Sky River. So he is routinely contaminating every single new RV on the lot with cigarette smoke. This is something no one wants. Do not buy an RV here. They also told us that for Service, they «Bump» people who do not buy their RV’s from Sky River Pismo Beach and «Roll out the red carpet» for people who do buy from them. Seems very unethical to me, all the way around.

& Cliff (Service Manager) in particular.
I am deeply sincere when I say that I have found Sky River of Pismo to be a business of integrity and service– Integrity and service that unfortunately is not the «norm» in our current profit motivated business world.
They have extended the quality of service and attention & care that that has gone far beyond any «call of duty,» or simply what a typical company would even consider as needed for responsible essentials.
My original letter contained all the many details of their caring actions– it got lost,
& evidently was too much to read anyway.
So I’ll condense it here in hopes it will be of more service to yourselves, & future patrons
to see and know.
I don’t believe my situation was typical, but it defines the extent of service and caring Sky River of Pismo can provide.
I was not looking for an RV for recreation, (although that was kept in mind for the future)
I was in need of a temp. home base to live in while in transition and severe health challenges.
They worked with me on all levels,
and were able to accommodate all my needs–
monetarily, service, and with patience.
Sky River provided the ways and means to acquire the RV needed, and ensured to keep within those means. They made certain of all safety of the vehicle, and gave attention to little details that I was not even aware of.
And when an unexpected situation arose that I was not able to pick up the RV and drive safely 200 miles to my destination– they arranged for it to be delivered !
When there was a further unexpected mechanical failure and mishap at my home destination, they followed up and easily negotiated what was fair.
I’m certain that this purchase and all that was involved was not merely profit motivated–
they may have even lost money on the deal.
(All businesses need to make a profit, or they won’t be in business long and be able to provide good services)
However, this shows the integrity of their services overall, and I believe this is truly what
will secure their establishment with happy and satisfied customers that know and can trust fairness, and that they will be taken care of.

Worse experience ever! The trashy finance girl sold a camper we were purchasing while our salesman was put to lunch! Then she lied and said she didn’t know!!! She’s the one who approved our offer! What a BITCH

We sold an RV on consignment. The end result (price, speed of sales, etc) was fine. But we are very unhappy with the lack of communication. Leaving a phone message is futile. I finally got feedback when I called management at the other Sky River locations. Additionally, I had a hard time getting the sales staff to explain the process related to vehicle transfer paperwork and me getting paid. It was a very frustrating experience
