Sky’s Limit Kite Shop

Fun shop with a pretty good selection of Safari Dragons (I’ve now given up a personal secret) which are oddly priced $ 1 to $ 2 HIGHER than retail. .. Rip-​off much???

OMG !! be prepared to lose time here, this place is actually a time machine. they have kites, pea shooters, gags, toys, etc etc etc (endless list) everything you want and nothing you need, cept maybe sunscreen. I loved this place and the couple that own it were much fun (big kids) like myself. if in Pismo… you must stop here !!! I would also like to address Amanda’s review (a 1^st for me) YOU BOUGHT BACON FROSTING !! its a gag !!! But this was your 1^st and only review, but still… get a life !!

John and Theresa at The Sky’s the Limit made for a wonderful experience for my fiancé and I. We stopped in this stop on a complete whim and after wandering aimlessly, enjoying all of the fun toys, we found ourselves in the kite section. John and Theresa kindly (and not at all intrusively) let us know that they were available to help with any questions we might have… not initially planning on getting a kite, we initially brushed off their offer, but then decided «Why not try one out?» We asked John to answer some questions and he could not have been more helpful. He efficiently, passionately, and not at all «salesman-​ly» gave us the explanations we needed to make an informed decision about a kite. He then spent some time giving us some pointers in the store about how to set up and handle the kite, and even said that if he were available, he would have loved to take us out for some training! He and Theresa could not have been more friendly or helpful. Many thanks for a great experience!

This is the flagship Kite And Fun shop in Pismo Beach. Whether your are planning to fly a kite at the beach or buying the Best Taffy in Town, this is the place to be. The friendly and knowledgeable staff is
the reason why vacationers come
back again and again. This is Classic California at its finest.

The ladies are smart on what is a good kite for age and skill

Nice little local shop with a lot of cool things to look at and buy. Staff is very friendly and the store has a good vibe to it. If you make your way in, I’m sure you will find something you feel you must buy.

I have a very hard time shopping at any store where they are unable to stand behind what they are selling. Our 12 year old wanted to try the bacon frosting they sell. She spent $ 6.50 on this product hoping to use it on cookies. Sadly the flavor was not even close to bacon or frosting. She was misled by the packaging and felt it was too gross to use. She went back to the store and they refused to give her a refund or store credit. Really? They could have just returned it to their supplier for their money back. It is a horrible product they are peddling and then tell the customer they are stuck with it. That is bad business. We had bought toys in there for our five kids they three days prior but will not go back.
We tried to support a local store but we will only shop at places that care about customer satisfaction. One more reason to use Amazon, sadly.
Prices are way too high here but could have overlooked that if they had good business practices.

This shop is great! Definitely well equipped with just about everything and anything you’d want to take for a fun day at the beach with the little ones. Sunscreen? Check. Sunglasses? Check. Frisbees? Check. Plastic bucket and shovel? Check. Salt water taffy? Double check.
And best of all, they’ve got an extraordinary selection of kites. From the 5 dollar ones, all of the way up to deluxe 300 dollar kites. The staff that we encountered were super friendly and helpful also.
Quick word of advice though, careful bringing your little ones in here — they’ll never want to leave. And once u set foot in here, you’ll totally understand why.
Great little shop. Definitely worth stopping in before you head down to the beach.
