Still the best burrito anywhere and we always stop whenever we are in the area.

Sooooo slow. We’re on our way back to the Bay Area an in a rush so we wanted fast casual food. We were wrong. This place is painfully slow and doesn’t do a good job of managing who ordered what. We are vegetarians which was why we were excited to try a Mexican place that made an effort to offer a vegetarian menu. Then we get called to get our order and she asks me if I ordered the Carne Asada??? The food was decent but nothing special. The place also needs to be renovated. The fish tank looks disgusting and the place is just depressing. I won’t be back.

Ordered a Carne Asada Burrito, they microwaved the meat in a styrofoam container! Not very healthy. I won’t be eating here again!

Hubby and I ordered a juice(the red robin) and two breakfast burritos(one bacon, one vegetarian) to eat there. I know it’s a beach town with a chill vibe and everyone working was very nice — but we waited a LONG time to get our food. Over 20 minutes for two burritos? And there was only one order before our’s. And then the food was just ok, mostly beans when we expected more egg/potatoes, etc. The fresh juice was tasty, and came out fast. Really wanted to give them 4 stars cause everyone was nice, but the burrito experience definitely took it down.

Didn’t expect to end up here for lunch but really glad we did! The service was good everyone was friendly. There were like 12 of us with 6 being kids. Prices were easy on the wallet too. My food was great. I had the chicken sopes — delicious. Other people got chicken tacos looked great and I was told were great. My hubby got chile Colorado burrito and gave it a thumbs up — not the best he’s ever had but was definitely tasty and a good value. Salsa was fresh and flavorful could have been spicer for me but no one else in our group would have liked that.

My friend and I hit up this little mexi restaurant/juice bar on the way back to SF from SLO and were pleasantly suprised! We were looking for breakfast and split a chorizo burrito that was amazing! Tip* mix the red and the green sauce!!! The man that was working there, I believe he was the owner, gave us some really great juice reccommendations and I had the Bomb which was a mixture of sweet, savory, and spicy and I really enjoyed it! My friend had a beet drink, and since beets aren’t my thang, I passed on trying it. She did seem to enjoy it though! When I head back down with my bf, I definitely plan on stopping here again!

I have to say I was disappointed, with Tio Alberto’s. I seen they advertised«Live Foods» and«Juice Bar». I have never seen a Mexican restaurant have a juice bar, so I was excited to try it out. They did not have any of the juices available on the list. I couldn’t believe it. All she said was sorry. They did not offer something else in its place. I was very disappointed. I wont be going back.

I was in Pismo Beach looking for some Mexican food and without Unilocal I think I would have driven around in circles. Checked out the Unilocal reviews and Tio Albertos popped up. When you first walk in you think you are walking into an organic fruit juice store. It is not only a fruit juice store but also a Mexican restaurant. Tio Alberto’s offers burritos, tacos, salads and other Mexican delights. I ordered the chicken taco salad($ 7.99) and I thought it was very good. Full of chicken, beans, lettuce, guacamole, cheese and salsa. Rich in flavor and not too spicy. The salsa was really good but the chip were a little oily… I guess they were really fresh and just made. Worth the return trip

I’m glad to see Tio Alberto’s is still doing well. In the late 80’s and early 90’s he had several locations named«Taco’s Acapulco». Now they are down to this single location. There burritos were awesome then, and they are awesome now. Brought back many great memories.

Hands down the best, fresh squeezed juices! I stumbled upon this place after a half marathon and got what I can only describe as the most amazing juice combination of fresh veggies and fruits. Super healthy and definitely not what you’d expect from this place. I’ll be back every time I come to Pismo for sure!!! Also, cheaper than the Whole Food juice bar :)

We did not have the burrito but two fish tacos. They were tasteless and need seasonings. My wife had another item which was over cooked. Not sure how this place got the higher number of stars. We wont be back. The waitress was really great and we did not have to wait for our food very long. That is why I rated it two stars instead of one.

My friend and i were on a road to S. F and we stop here for a quick snack. I got the hurricane juice and its pretty good. its almost like a healthy juice except for the sugar. They were well known for the giantic burrito, but when my friend and i order it its wasn’t big at all. Tts a regular size burrito and the flavor was ok. it had to much beans. Order bacon but we got ham instead. i would have given them a 2 star if it wasnt for their juice.

GREAT burritos. The secret to this place is: TAKEOUT. Order, then stand at the counter and WATCH them make your food(so you get it exactly like you want), grab some of the hot sauce in the to go containers provided, have them wrap it to go and go eat by the ocean! My fav: Chicken chili verde burrito. White meat chicken. Excellent sauce. LOVE this place. Any burrito can be made«wet» for $ 1. Note: The owner is 7th Day Adventist, so they are closed Saturdays and some Friday afternoons/evenings. Other than that, they are open from 8 am until 9 or 10 at night!

Tio Alberto’s is a neat place. We had been there once before but we could not remember our opinion of it so we figured it must not have been too bad the first time! The décor is kind of… interesting. Half has the feel of a nice sit down Mexican restaurant and the other half has the feel of a take out joint, but kind of odd and eccentric. We went in for breakfast burritos with our kids and even though they took FOREVER, they were very tasty! The price was good and we would certainly return on our next trip to the Central Coast!

Great Burritos. Bad service. Took us about an hour and a half before we had all our food. Waitress was flustered and surly. Waitress was also scary looking.

Sloooooow service. Our party of six basically ate in shifts as the food arrived plate by plate. I ordered a sope, which was twice as large as what I am accustomed to at other Mexican restaurants. It was quite tasty. Others in our party had a combo plate, menudo and burritos. One of my friends had to have her burrito microwaved as it was cold when she bit into it; once heated, she was happy, but geez, having to ask to have your just served food heated?
