Antojitos Jalisco, why in the heck haven’t I been here sooner than now? Well as the saying goes… better late than never right? Antojitos Jalisco has quite the reputation around this side of the east bay. Having 3 locations that is literally a hop, skip and jump away from me(okay I lied a really big hop, skip and jump: D). And this location and being literally right down the street from my house. I really can see this being a summer stop for me real soon. Well here is what I thought of this establishment. 3÷22÷16 A fellow Unilocaler got the review of the day for this place and that was really what sold me. After getting my taxes done and taking in the nice day, I decided to stroll in here after I bought some Chinese Food, I figure something mexican would be the perfect balance! I had a friend that recommended the Mangoneada from here, and after a bit of researching on what a Mangonada was… I knew that is what I wanted so with my mind set I «set» my sights on Antojitos Jalisco Snack Shop and stolled in. This is a small place inside, but it is very clean and neat. Everything is advertised so nicely and the prices here are pretty good. It made me feel like I was back in Mexico for spring break and was about to order something exotic. I almost got side tracked and ordered Tostilocos(google it) but I wanted my Mangoneada so I pointed to the picture when the lady asked me what I wanted and off she went to create this masterpiece! Mangoneada — Mangos, Deliciousness, Chimoy, Deliciousness, Shaved Ice doused in Mango Purée, Deliciousness, Chili, oh and more Deliciousness and last but not least. A Tamarind Candy Straw… Yea. It was pretty bomb yo! They have other treats and snacks here that I do plan to try some of in time. Tostilocos is on my menu forsure next time and maybe a Gordita as well. $ 5.50 well spent in my opinion. Will I be back… Definitely! In Conclusion, if you happen to be in this side of the East Bay Area, Pittsburg has 2 locations and Antioch has one. This one is located in the Atlantic Plaza Shopping Center right next to Payless off Harbor Street. Try one of them out of you like Mexican style street snacks, and as always… Unilocal your own experience and don’t forget to take pictures!

Great place for fresh squeezed juices and the food is delicious! Friendly staff, daily specials and super clean. Yogurt parfaits(bionicos) and tortas(especially la chicana, ask for them to add a fried egg… you’re welcome) are always a homerun. This place is small, making it ideal for takeout, but there are a couple of tiny tables if you do decide to eat in. Also, their ice cream is made in house, incredible flavors.

Antojitos Jalisco Snack is a small place located in the corner of Atlantic and Harbor. Do not let the size of their space fool you. They have some seriously delicious food. They offer tacos, burritos, gordita, and other Mexican/Latin snacks, and American fare such as hot dogs and burgers. For drinks, they have agua fresca, freshly squeezed juice, and smoothies. They also have dessert items like ice cream and bionicos. I have tried their mangoñada which was highly recommended to me by an acquaintance who was aware of my love of all things spicy. One order lasted me three snacks as they did not skimp on the mangoes, and it really was spicy. I have also tried their gordita rajas con quezo(my favorite), chicken gordita, and chicken burrito. All were delicious but the chicken was lacking in flavors. It seemed that the meat was simply boiled. Not that I have anything against boiled chicken — it is wholesome but it is just blah. And I am not a fan of blah meat that I did not prepare for myself(on days when I actually try to be healthy, that is). The people here are very friendly and patient as you make up your mind as to what you want to order. And if you are not familiar with the offerings, they are helpful with suggestions of what they think are tasty. Prices are fairly similar to other Mexican joints. The next time I want snacks, I will not hesitate to go back to Antojitos.

This place was so cute. When i arrived, I let the girl behind the counter know that I had never been there before. She smiled and preceded to make me samples and show me what was yummy on the menu(everything) I honestly don’t know what I ended up getting but it was so delicious. It had fruit at the bottom, with granola and shaved coconut on top. Not to mention the cream stuff she put in it. omg I love this place.

I love going to buy the fresh squeezed orange juice. The bionicos are really good too. I’m a little disappointed that a $ 8 burrito looks like the same size as a normal burrito at other places and the chips for the nachos aren’t good. But for sweets this place will do.

I’ve only ever tried their fruit items and I’m very happy with them. I used to go to the one on Delta Fair but this is a lot closer to me and they seem to be the same. It’s not the best looking place but it’s the only place I’ve found fresh fruit in concoctions I’ve never had before. In the summer I like the pico de gallo which is big slices of fruit with salt, Mexican chile powder, and lime. I just recently tried the bionico(fruits & granola w/Mexican yogurt and soft serve on the top, will satisfy your sweet tooth for sure) and the escamoche(fruits with orange juice, strawberry syrup-doesn’t sound good but it is– lime and Mexican chile powder) which are amazing. Yes, it’s a bit expensive when a small is $ 5 and some change, but I always find myself coming back.

I love their bionicos! It’s a little small so I wouldn’t recommend eating there but fresh fruit and yummy desserts are a must try. I wouldn’t say they have the best hot food but it’s decent. And it’s quick especially if you are on a time limit. I would recommend anyone to try it at least once to get your own opinion of it.

Whoever wrote the first review is all wrong must be the same workers there, first of all i ordered my son nachos with three basic things on it and i ordered in spanish and the lady in the register said ok let me repeat your order. i get my order 20 minutes later and when i get in the car and opened th box it was all wrong. she had made it super with everything on it and i went back she was acting stupid like i never ordered it with only three things she said«oh remember u wanted it super.» i was like no i told u clearly that my son only wanted three basic things on it, she then was looking at me like i was the one wrong. and to top it off she was being so sarcastic and when she told the other lady in the back they were both making fun of the way i ordered and to top it off there food sucks. no flavor, and with the super steak burritos i ordered was missing sour cream avocado and salsa the main things a super has. i would not recommend this place if u want real mexican food u should go to mi pueblo way better, there people cooking in the back don’t know anything about making burritos or nachos, plus the cheese for the nachos is watered down. never going back again.

Think burrito spot mixed with Baskin Robbins, mixed with Jamba Juice and you have Antojitos Jalisco. Very friendly employees that speak English! They have ice cream, fresh juices, smoothies, fresh fruit and killer Mexican food. I got the Chicano torta which came with pastor bacon hot dog with nacho cheese guacamole and other wonderful fresh produce. It was cheap, it was fast and most importantly it was good. The only thing that sucks is that they didn’t have any menus. It’s all painted on their walls. Lucky enough for you, that is my pet peave and I have the full menu I’ve uploaded on the pictures. Enjoy.
