This is amazing food, and I’ve had amazing Mexican food IN MEXICO. And this is amazing! The carnitas burrito is well worth the $ 7 and the chips are so good; you’ll want a pound of them for sure!

With so many mexican food options with walking distance of each other the competition is tough. CT though is aptly named. The carnitas are awesome! The service is great and the self serve salsa bar is reminiscent of all those great San Diego mexican hole in the wall restaurants I compare my local bay area spots to.
Great food with a so cal mexican joint feel.
This place is also cheap and great for catering. We recently ordered them for a department christmas party and less than $ 150 fed over 20 people easily.

Nice family owned taqueria. good food, clean, and good service. Great catering options too. Always our Mexican fast food spot.

Love this place! Just wish they had pozole more often! The Asada fries are bomb! Love the aqua frescas. Love it even more because it is a family owned restaurant. Don’t see many of those anymore

Fucking sad, they tried to give my mom cold tortillas bercuase she looked white. Racists ass people, after we just bought 8 pounds of carnitas. Dumb ass people she speaks spanish just becuase shes whote dosent mean she dosent knoe. Do make sure theu gove yu what you order people.

I have been here a couple of times to get Asada Fries and my favorite wet burrito. The last time I went here was around summer. I stopped going because I had food poisoning. The food tasted good but my stomach suffered for a week and I din’t stop throwing up for at least three days. I don’t think it’s worth it, they should really watch out how they handle their food.

I found a bug/​roach in my chicken nachos this used to be my favorite restaurant not no more! This is disgusting!

Best tortas aogadas. Taste just like Guadalajara ones. Must try. Only issue is they take a long time to serve your order bug it’s worth the wait.

New Mecca was closed on a Wednesday so I tried this place out. Had a bean cheese rice burrito, chicharron taco, crispy chicken taco. Burrito was decent I guess, not sure if beans were fresh. Chicharron taco was drenched in green sauce so the pork was soggy, not very good. The crispy chicken taco came in a hard shell like you get at the grocery store slopped on the plate with all the lettuce and sour cream falling out, chicken had absolutely NO flavor.
Young girl working the register seemed spaced out, no «thank you» or «enjoy your meal» or whatever which I don’t care too much about but the food was just not good. It was cheap though! I probably wont be going back.

There isn’t anything wrong with this place. I go for their wet burrito de asada and carnitas. The best Mexican food around Pittsburg

Food was great! Portion was so big husband and I split the chimichanga. Flan was delicious! Kid at front ordering (bilingual) was so courteous and friendly. Will definitely be going back!

Foods okay but I’ve only eaten there twice and both times got food poisoning. Give them the benefit of the doubt the first time because I had eaten at a different place that same day. But when I got sick a second time I realized that it had to be at this place because is exactly the same food. Will never hear again

Ok so I’ve changed this cause I’m too stupid to figure out how to delete a review. Still pretty pissed about not getting all my food last night and I won’t go there again. The food is good enough my wife will sill eat there however. Just make sure you have everything before you leave, I don’t think they check. 5 Stars for the food, negative 3 for not getting it all.

Hopefully there ARE some good pupusas in Pittsburg because these are not them… The woman at the cash register did not even know what «lorocos» were…
If you know where the pupusas are… DM me. (This sounds so shady… I payz da ca$h.)

Carnitas Tijuana is awesome for Mexican food. My personal favorite are the shredded chicken tacos. The tacos are filled with tons of meat, onions and cilantro. I usually get the dinner plate, which comes with three tacos, rice, beans, and chips on the side. Love how they give you the chips on the side but the best part is when ever I order food to go when I get home my food is still warm! Its awesome.

There should NEVER be employees stuffing food in their mouths USING THEIR HANDS while in the kitchen area!!! This wasn’t even her own personal food plate either, she was just grazing along her way through the food area, GROSS! Especially when customers can SEE YOOOUUU… nasty germy fingers & food do NOT go together.
The attitude-​spewing adolescent cashier boy (upset at having to refund my money since 30 minutes wasn’t enough time to make a quesadilla!) kept cutting me off while I brought the Face-​Stuffer to his attention saying:
«She’s not a chef so…»
«She’s not a chef! «
“That’s because she’s not a chef.»
«Yeah, well she’s not a chef so it doesn’t matter.» WHAATT? It’s only a HEALTH CODE VIOLATION, silly child. She must be his gf.
Something has drastically changed here recently! This place used to be our go-​to spot at least 2 times a week for the past 3+ years, anything from wet burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and especially beans & rice for the toddler.
Last 2 visits have sealed the deal & WE WILL NOT BE COMING BACK (unless some of the new faces are fired &/​or management brings it back from the grave).
1) Sunday, there was a broken piece of a glass plate in my husband’s burrito!!! (Like someone broke a dish in the kitchen, at some point during the day or week, and some bounced into the beans? meat? I don’t know, but that’s unacceptable.)
2) Tonight (3÷25÷15), the SUPER RUDE kid (mentioned before) basically told me (after we had WAITED FOR NEARLY 30 minutes) that «they were too busy with a large tortilla order» so no one had time to make a FREAKIN CHICKEN QUESADILLA!!!
Meanwhile, back at the farm… THREE ladies in the food area (1 girl steadily stuffing chunks of food into her mouth); TWO young men sitting in a booth near the door; ONE boy talking to me; and noone sitting in the restaurant… still NO ONE CAN MAKE A QUESADILLA!
Next time, don’t tell me that it’ll be 15 minutes & take payment if YOU KNOW that a tortilla order will take precedence over all other orders.
If only I could give ZERO stars…

As a frequent shopper at Mi Pueblo, across the street, I often just eat at their food court. However a Unilocal friend wrote a great reviews, so here I am.
I am amazed by the prices of the three taco plate with rice and beans, just $ 4.99. I got three great carnitas tacos! The rice and beans were very tasty as well. I wish that the carnitas had a little more crisp on some of the pieces, it was a little too wet. Overall a great value and a good taco.
What did I learn today? The bottle of coke cost half what a plate of tacos, rice, and beans does.

LOVE this place I get take out orders from the on a regular basis & even had them cater my daughters party. Great tasting food for a really good price.
I’m a regular and try to tell people about how good the food is since it’s kind of hard to seen from Railroad ave. Also one of the only place around to get carne asada fries, yumm!
