This weekend was my first time going to Bahama Breeze with two of my friends and I’m sad I haven’t tried this place sooner! Everything was great, I tried the«Zombie» drink which was nice and tropical. They have a nice selection of appetizers and my grilled chicken salad that was made with fresh fruit was fabulous! The server was very nice and attentive. I was also a fan of the fact the menu had the calorie information beside each item, it helped me make smarter choices in selecting my meal, I think all restaurants should start doing that. Lastly, I would like to say I enjoyed the island vibe that the entire restaurant had.

Great food. Hard decision what to get, and even though our server was only«4 days in» he steered us in the right direction. Thanks Thomas!!! Nice atmosphere, music, food, and drinks.

Not too bad for a chain place… I’ve spent quite a bit of time in Jamaica over the years, and the food is «Caribbean» like the Olive Garden is «Italian», but if you keep that in mind, it’s a pretty decent dining experience. Conch fritters were long on fritter and short on conch, but tasty nonetheless. Coconut shrimp tacos were actually quite good — a nice combination of sweet coconut shrimp and a tangy sauce with jicama slaw. The menu was a little too long and daunting, and service was just ok — refills were a little difficult to come by. For lunch with a gift card, I was quite pleased, but if I had saved this for a treat date night, I’d probably be a tad disappointed.

Amazing cocktails and appetizers! Can’t wait for the main course UPDATE: Sorry it took long. But the Caribbean food they serve, I would say is good. I would definitely visit them again to checkout the other items

Just had a great experience here! Sat at the bar before heading out on a flight back west. Anthony was tending bar and made my mojito to perfection, after I asked for some minor specifics. He also recommended a great appetizer that hit the spot. Would give 5 stars, but I usually hesitate if I have only had one visit. I will be back(might be awhile as I live In California) and will update on my second trip! Try the jerk shrimp… yum.

Let me first say that Bahama Breeze is where we go when we want to treat ourselves to a good dining experience and don’t mind paying a bit more for quality. We even call it the«vacation restaurant.» However my visit on Saturday Jan 2, did not live up to our expectations. It was busy and they were backed up, which was understandable as apparently the entire population of the city decided they needed to shop that day. But once we were finally seated, the experience did not really improve. The servers seemed to have no sense of urgency or hustle. Drinks weren’t refilled promptly, or at all. Appetizer was delivered literally 5 seconds before the entrees. I hate that, and mentioned it to the people that brought the food, they just said«sorry and ran away. My actual server was conspicuously absent for most of the meal after that, No one followed up, I could see people stacked up in the waiting area, but for most of the meal there were empty tables around us. So either the servers couldn’t handle a full house or the kitchen was fouled up. Either way, the staff I interacted with did not seem to see or care about the problems I saw. Both adults ordered soup, one bowl was delivered before the entrée, another was delivered with the entrée. No reason was given, apparently that is a decision that is not made by the patron. I had the black bean soup and fish tacos. The tacos seemed bland, like someone forgot the spice. Really, it was just a hunk of whitefish over coleslaw in a tortilla. The black bean soup was mostly broth, with very little beans. So I don’t know if they were just having a bad day, or if the place is just not as good as it used to be. Disappointing, really. Wasted someone’s holiday gift card that wouldn’t normally be able to afford to go there on there own income. That’s what really makes me mad.

I haven’t been to a Bahama Breeze in many years since they closed in Rochester. During that time, I used to frequent this restaurant on a fairly regular basis and really enjoyed the food and carribean theme. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Pittsburg still had the location open and was eager to give it a try. We ordered Skillet Simmered Jerk Shrimp for an appetizer. It was spicy and delicious. The sauce and warm bread that it is served with is amazing. For our entrees, we had Baby Back Ribs and the Coconut Shrimp dinner. My husband loves the ribs! The meat was falling off the bone and he felt like they were some of the best ribs that he’s ever had. He would definitely order these again. I had the coconut shrimp meal. I was really skeptical about ordering the coconut shrimp, but went ahead and gave it a try. I’m glad that I did because it was phenomenal. It wasn’t overly sweet like others places serve their coconut shrimp. The only down side was that the rice was extremely dry and hardened. We ordered a cocktail too. They have a very large variety from which to choose. Service was good. Can’t wait to visit again!

I have never had a bad experience here! Every time everyone is so sweet and attentive. Not to mention the atmosphere– such a great get away from the suburbs I truly feel like I’m in the Florida keys when I am inside this restaurant. I usually get the«coconut shrimp» BUT I substitute it to be firecracker… they offer the firecracker as the appetizer but let me switch it out to have a full«meal“‘with bigger portions and with the sides as well. That’s one thing I really want to stress… this restaurant is happy to make simple accommodations that other restaurants may be agitated to do. Great drinks, appetizers, and entrees. The sizes are good and the prices are pretty average considering the location, portions, and type of food of course. I would compare this to a more tropical Red Lobster if you will. Defiantly give it a try!

What a delightful dinner experience at the Bahama breeze. I like the fact that they have full meals and a lighter option.

Decided to have dinner at Bahama Breeze at the suggestion of a good friend who’s a regular. I was pleased to open the menu and find so many healthy options. The calories are listed with each menu item which is so awesome for us calorie counters! I’m back to eating healthy and working out on a regular basis. I can definitely see myself having another healthy dinner here again especially after a good work out. This would also be a great place to grab a drink and to eat on your day off from counting calories. I’d recommend trying the chicken tortilla soup(110 calories) and the grilled chicken and fresh fruit salad(660 calories).

We had a party of twelve people for lunch so may have overwhelmed the staff but service was slow. Had the Applewood Bacon burger. It was OK(pretty hard to mess up a burger) Family member ordered the cuban sandwich. He did not like it. Probably because it wasn’t really a cuban. They don’t come with salami, lettuce, tomato and your supposed to use cuban pork which this did not taste like.(I live near Miami so know Cuban food) Overall, it was OK, nice atmosphere with so-so food. Reasonable prices.

We took our mother out for dinner last night(5-27-2015). I chose Bahama Breeze at the Robinson Town Center Mall area. She had never been there in all the years she has lived in Pittsburgh. My wife also hd never been to a Bahama Breeze. I am very familiar with the ones in Orlando Florida. Mom had the Jerk Chicken and my wife had the Coconut Shrimp. They were amazed .at the great taste and quality of the food. I had never tried their BBQ ribs. They were the meatiest ribs I have ever had and delicious. Our mom could not stop raving about the food and beverages. At 92 she has been round the world and has very specific likes and dislikes. I must add that we were seated promptly at our reserved time. The servers were very attentive and well trained. We all had a great evening.

I thought I’d always heard that Bahama Breeze was mediocre, but boy did they prove me wrong last night! I expected it to be overcrowded, but they seated our party of 9 within 5 minutes. I expected it to be overpriced, but it was reasonable, probably about the same as olive garden or less depending on what you order. I expected the food to be average, but it was incredible. My husband is half Cuban, so he found a lot of comfort food on the menu, and that made him happy. There’s not a lot of Cuban food in this town besides the dang sandwich. And the drinks… oh boy. If you come here and don’t get a drink, you’re missing out. The mojitos are fantastic and there’s a wide selection. Maybe tell them to go easy on the ice, sometimes it feels like there’s more ice than alcohol. I got a top shelf margarita. It definitely tasted top shelf. Made me feel like I was on an island. At around 7 I noticed a change in the music, got a little louder and more Caribbean. On the way out at the end of the night, I figured out why… they had a singer in a little DJ station by the door. He was so good that I didn’t even consciously notice that the music was live! He did a lot of surprising covers of popular songs and turned them into songs with an island beat. Alright now the food. I got the Grilled Chicken with Cilantro Crema. It was really excellent. The grilled chicken was perfectly cooked, and had a sweet glaze that was very tasty. It came with a giant pile of mashed potatoes that I was very skeptical about. Mashed potatoes at a Caribbean restaurant? But it was covered in roasted corn and cheese and cilantro cream and they turned out to be the most delicious and flavorful mashed potatoes I’ve ever had. My husband was also very pleased with his deep rice bowl dish. Come very hungry if you’re going to finish one of those. He got the beef chipolte one and was very happy with it. We were so stuffed we couldn’t have any dessert, but I had my eye on the dulce de leche cheesecake. Next time…

I don’t often frequent this place but now and then I will give it a try. Today’s visit we had a very pleasant and helpful waitress. There is free Wi Fi here in the event you need it which is always a plus for me. My girlfriend and I both decided to have one of the seafood specials of the day. We each had wood grilled tilapia covered with almonds along with a side of sweetened mashed potatoes and broccoli. Since we got there shortly after it opened it wasn’t crowded but sure got crowded by the time we left. The food was good and for a luncheon the prices were reasonable. It is not one of my better seafood entrees but passable. There is an extensive menu and they do have during the week lunch specials which you can choose an entrée with either a soup or a salad. They do have a bar area which we didn’t take advantage of. The restaurant sits off the road near the mall of Robinson where there are other restaurants in that same off shoot. So parking can sometimes be a problem. Please note that this restaurant is a «chain» so you will find it in other cities as well.

This place never disappoints me. I usually get the tropical fruit salad which is a good healthy choice. I changed it up a little and had the salmon with mango glaze, cinnamon sweet potatoes, and greens beans; it was prepared well and very flavorful. I also love how the seating and the ambiance that bahama breeze creates.

This place is great for when you want passable food and delicious, sugary cocktails. It is always packed, but they take open table reservations which is good. I had the mahi mahi and it was completely unremarkable. It wasn’t bad, the stand out was the pineapple salsa that came on top of it, but the best part of dinner was my pineapple coconut martini. It was delicious. My friend and the cobb salad and it also looked okay. Everything about Bahama Breeze is okay, but it’s just okay. There are obviously many better options in Robinson, but this is not the worst option. It’s just… okay!

For a chain, this place ain’t half bad. It’s a great hangout specially if you get a table outside in summers. Cocktails are the real deal here. My favorite would be Zombie and Mango Mojito. There are few other colorful options so every visit can be a new experience. No point if you play safe here. Not a big fan of main course but appetizers are great. Having been to Jamaica, I can say that the jerk chicken here comes close to the actual authentic version. Coconut shrimps are good too. As for the main course, I always go with West Indies Chicken rice bowl. It has a mixed Caribbean and Indian flavor which appeals to me. Make sure you get a seat outside, possibly facing the Robinson mall. That alone will add to the pleasure in a warm evening.
