I’ll start by saying I don’t eat much chain fast food, mostly because of establishments like this one. I used to train at a studio right up the street, and if I was ever early for a client, I’d swing in here for a soda, quick bite, and wifi. That was six years ago. The service was terrible and, even in the realm of fast food, the food was terrible. This most recent visit(last week) I swung in to kill some time while waiting for a friend to whom I gave a ride and grab dinner on the run. I should have known better and just skipped it, but I grabbed a nugget meal. I waited almost 10 minutes to order, there was one person in front of me. I then waited another 10 minutes for my food. There were no lids to fit the medium cups, and the straws and napkin holders were almost empty. The manager needed a belt, as his pants were a size too big and ass was hanging out of them, which may have something to do with the functionality and appearance of the establishment. The entire staff seemed stoned, which is fine is you can actually complete your jobs, but they obviously weren’t able to do. The staff was all young(and has been since I’ve been stopping here), but I’ve been to other stores and restaurants where service and quality is exponentially superior to this place. There is a play area here, and from the terrible upkeep of the dining area and general lack of attention to detail in all areas is service, I couldn’t event fathom letting a child play in there. I’m sure it hasn’t been cleaned in years. There is a general lack of operational leadership here and it greatly affects the quality of service and product. Drive by McDonalds and eat somewhere in the mall or the Eat n Park nearby. You’ll be thankful you did.

Ok, I have to confess! I needed ice cream last night! I was driving home from a night of just exploring Pittsburgh, and had the impulse! You see, i am working in Canonsburgh and just needed to stress relieve and sitting in my room wasn’t going to help that stress relief so I went exploring. So it was 9 something at night, I had already eaten to much through out the day and I also had already achieved my required 10,000 steps for the day, but I just needed something. On impulse I pulled into the Mc Donald and rolled down my window stared at the drive up menu and a friendly voice said ‘hi can I help you.” I asked«Do you have some kind of blizzard thing?» cause the menu board had lots of items listed and frankly I was to lazy to read it and feeling the pressure of the need to respond. The friendly voice then said«yes we have Oreo and M&M McFlurrires.» Oh no more pressure, my choice, M&M. As requested, I drove around to the first window, and while still feeling the pressure of the McDonalds drive through urgency, struggled to get the $ 2.whatever out of my pocket. The friendly voice that was now a person standing there smiling at me added to the pressure by standing with her hand out. Yes she was nice and smiling but it all added to my feelings of urgency associated with the McDonald’s drive through experience. I was told to pull up to the next window, but I couldn’t a black van was there waiting for their order. Now you have to picture this, I have all this McDonald’s urgency built up inside of me along with the stress of the day and now I have to wait for this black van. The black van is keeping me away from receiving my impulse comfort food stress reducing McFlurry prize. I waited and the voice in my head shouted, «send them to the pull ahead and wait for your order spot!» I needed my impulse comfort food stress reducing McFlurry, and I need it now. I waited what seemed like hours hating this Mc Donald’s and the black van more and more was each second passed! Final I could see the fingers emerging from the window clutching the black vans order! Relief washed over me cause I was going to get my order! I pulled up and the window and it was already open and I received my prize without even coming to a full stop! I rolled out of the McDonalds and started to wolf down my McFlurry. Now talk about it being unsafe to text and drive! You should see me drive while eating something from McDonalds! It makes texting and driving look safe! So all in all, I went to the McDonalds as an impulse, I was anxious cause I really do not need to be eating McFlurries and I was suffering from the stress of the day. So I s it fair to give this McDonalds 3 star because of a bunch of neurotic Russ stuff? Probably not, but I am doing it anyway! Sorry McDonalds!

This is a completely typical McDonalds. The staff was friendly and service was prompt. I also loved that the dual drive up for ordering, but definitely disliked the remerge to get to the window. While we didn’t use the play area in the resturant it looked relatively clean and well kept.
