Perry Perk wasn’t bad, but wasn’t great; it deserves at least one review. The short: cozy w/white noise, interesting though sparse menu, free wifi, outlets, small place. I got a hot apple cider that was pretty bad — next time I’ll get a hot chocolate. I did talk to one regular who has never been let down by the coffee. The seating was cozy: two or three two-seater tables, four-ish high-backed soft chairs and a Christmas tree for the season. The food menu looks interesting, although we didn’t order food when I was there. Their wifi was free, but had some problems sustaining a VPN, and would drop pageloads frequently. I blame comcast(ISP) versus their setup, but the end result was the same. The ambience was good with a radio station playing on the speakers — not loud, but not quiet either. Enough stuff going on to get a distinct white noise sound. Outlets seemed to about — probably one standard double plug outlet per table. Although the tree and lights took up one of the regular outlets, there was still enough to plug in for power. I’d go again to work, but if I were going to work there, the wifi would have to improve. I’d go for a conversation, but not one I wanted to have too quietly. I’d go back for a drink, and probably a sandwich — but avoid the hot apple cider(so far). However, the prices were very inexpensive; great for those of us on a budget!
