Please dismiss anyone who says that this place is not good! If you are Eastern European, this kielbassa is as good as it gets. My family and I have had kielbassa«offs»(similar to cook offs, but a lot more meaningful to the Eastern European set) and everytime Stumpfs wins. It is better than Peter’s Meats in Cleveland and other butcher shops in Chicago. The white kielbassa, which is the fresh kielbassa, is just incredible. Just boil that stuff up, finish it on the grill and you are the hero of the tailgate. When I was in there today, the hams looked absolutely divine. The fresh chickens looked like they were just killed in the back. Everything looks so fresh. It doesn’t look like the meat in the regular supermarket. It looks FRESH! Don’t even think of going to the store to buy Eckridge! It is worth the trip. The kielbassa is the stuff from your childhood! I LOVETHISPLACE! UMMMMUMMMMGOOD!!! Note: They only take cash. A PNCATM is half a block away

The absolute best kielbasa anywhere, and the meat sticks(both regular and hot) are addictive. The clientele seems to be a mix of local people who buy a range of products and people from all over who come for the specialized sausage, bacon, etc. I am of the later variety and make several 40 mile round trips per year. To the reviewer who wanted veal chops and thick cut bone-in pork chops, there are many places to get these, but NONE that offer Stump’s specialties.

This place is great!!! They are a small shop and provide personalized service. The kielbasa is the best around and they also make homemade sauerkraut. The smoked slab bacon is amazing. I would highly recommend checking this place out.

SOOOOO disappointed! After reading good reviews on other sites, I decided to stop in to give a local business some love. I was looking for two things; A) 1&½ inch thick bone in pork chops– I was told«no, we only get those at the holidays» and B) Veal chops– I was told, «we don’t carry those, they’re too expensive». I asked if I could ORDER them, I was told«no». From the look of their meat case there was absolutely NOTHING«special» that would make me want to go there, prices were higher than local grocery stores, the whole chickens looked anorexic. I thought some of the meat actually looked old and dry in the tiny case. The place was poorly lighted and not the cleanest, had an odd dried blood smell, I would have loved to have a look on the service side of that meat case. Service by the counter attendant(older female) was curt and the owner never even looked up at me. I gave them one star because I bought a pack of «Hot Sticks»(meat sticks) out of pity, and they were pretty good, not the least bit«hot», but good flavor/texture; Dave’s Meats in Valencia and Mish Farms in Gibsonia have MUCH better sticks. I like to support local businesses, I just don’t see any reason to stop here again, what a shame. I’m not sure how they manage to stay in business, perhaps relying on an older, local clientele who don’t drive… I honestly WANTED to love this place… being only 1 ½ miles from my home, it would have been GREAT to have an awesome local butcher/meat shop where I could get the special cuts I like to cook. I would have given them 2 stars for effort had the service been even slightly better, this place was a HUGE fail.
