No one is a bigger fan of the Pittsburgh Popcorn Company than me. If you are what you eat, it’s quite possible I would be a giant piece of popcorn from the PPC. But popcorn-loving people, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this location. I don’t know why this is, but the popcorn here is just not up to par with the other locations. I’ve stopped by here several times now, and I’ve been disappointed in the popcorn quality every time. Just yesterday I picked up a bag of peanut butter cup(my fav), and it consisted of mostly crumbs. What whole pieces of popcorn there were in the bag were horribly stale and barely had any peanut butter and chocolate coating. Freshness definitely seems to be an issue here. I’m sticking to the original Strip District locale from now on.

This is honestly the best popcorn. However, this location is awful. The people working really are quite lazy– it’s the holiday but don’t say you don’t have something only to pull it out of the back. We waited more than a half hour for tins of popcorn to not get filled. The service is just awful. I cannot believe the customer service during the holiday season. Awful. I won’t be back to this location– ever.

Do not go to this location! I stopped by the Ross Park mall location of Pittsburgh Popcorn when I came back to the burgh for the Pitt-Notre Dame game. When I went to the counter to order, I was ignored by the only worker, who was too busy staring off in space/sweeping to help a customer. She proceeded to clean out the dust pan — with her bare hands and then finally acknowledged me. I asked for a medium chocolate caramel. She used the same dirty hands to open up the bag and started scooping kettle corn. She never washed her hands, did not use gloves. When I pointed this out to her, I received a blank stare. I said I no longer wanted the popcorn & it wasn’t what I asked for anyway. I asked for the name of the manager — she refused to give it. Wow, Pittsburgh popcorn really needs to work on their employee hygiene & customer service skills.

They were making fresh batches of popcorn when I got there. I picked up a small pack of Wisconsin cheddar — which is very cheesy — for $ 3.95. I enjoyed it very much and they have almost a dozen flavours to choose from.

Soooo Bummed! Working here from Texas and i couldn’t wait to get some Pittsburgh Popcorn. They scraped the last of the cheddar, it was old and caked with cheddar flavor. What a let down, should have just bought a christmas tin.
