I love everything at this place. I wish it was in New York so I could come here all the time. I had the beer sampler– all delicious and brewed on location. I also enjoyed the truffle deviled eggs, onion and ale soup, and the mash tun sandwich. I would choose anything on this menu because I love this place!

I have been going to the Brew Works for years and years and have seen the restaurant go through 3 owners and several changes. I keep going back even when it shuts down. The last and previous owners of the restaurant have just recently hired a new chef and gotten a new menu, because the food they served the last two years was disgusting. You got pickled cauliflower with everything. So the food is a major upgrade. HOWEVER they have some of the worst service anywhere. A friend and I went to eat there last night and decided to eat in the back room titled the Beir Hall and our waiter was one of the worst waiters I have ever seen, We decided to sit at the bar because and a female server took our drink order, then handed us menus for food. Then this goofy guy with glasses decided to take our order. Except he only took my friends order, hastily, then went to put it in the computer. HELLO. He didn’t even freakin ask me if I wanted anything, which I did. We had to tell him that I would also be ordering. As we are waiting for the food he starts to have a conversation about how they want to move people out of the Bier Hall and into the front of the restaurant. You think they wouldn’t have sat us there if they wanted to close it down. So rude, he continued to have this conversation with the manager of the resturant. HAHA. What a joke of a manager. While we are eating, he starts to spray cleaner everywhere, a foot from our freaking plates and then while cleaning his glassware throws up water onto my friends food. So freakin clueless was the idiot. They should fire their managers because she doesn’t manage anything and I think the owners would be upset at how crappy then run the place back there. While waiting for my friend, the hostess starts to tell me how they have a hard time getting people to eat back there. Get a real manager in that restaurant because the one they have now is a joke and the staff is ridiculous.

We were a party of 4, arriving at 630 on a Friday. Server Melissa was prompt and very attentive throughout, accurate and helpful, in fact. We drank: Oatmeal Stout(perfect), Legacy IPA(strong and hoppy), Rauchbier: a smoked beer, strongly malty and Berkshire Weiss, very refreshing(comes with a slice of lemon, nice touch). We enjoyed Portabella Napoleon(lovely ricotta topping on caramelised onion and spinach over the mushrooms), calamari(not bad, not great). Our entrees Included«YabbaDabbaDoo», a braised short rib of beef which was nicely presented, very delicious and abundant;a spinach salad with steak: also beautifully presented and tasty — not too much meat, not greasy; and fish and chips which were very abundant and tasty. Nobody had room for the interesting desserts. Would absolutely recommend to anyone: good brew, good food, nice atmosphere.

Not my favorite place in the Berkshires. The longer drive to Browns in Troy, NY is well worth it over this place. Food is OK, some of their beers are good but the majority taste funny to me. I’ve been to several microbreweries and while their beers might appeal to some they don’t to me. Several feel flat and most are sweeter than you would expect from a beer.

A brewpub with their brewery in the basement. It’s owned by 2 people, and one of them gladly took us downstairs to look around. They provided insight into the current economy of costs that brewing ingredients have experienced. Apparently beer prices may be going up! I thought the bar was great, and they offered a sampler for all their beers. It was the first time I had a ‘smokey’ beer. It’s an acquired taste. This is a nice spot if you want to bring a family or group. It’s roomy and has a clean look to it. It’s not just a beer place, it’s got a great menu too!
