This place has a great selection of bagels and all different type foods. The staff was super friendly! The cashier had Halloween stickers on her name tag and I asked about them she told me a little girl gave them to her and that she didn’t wanna take them off. I think that’s awesome. I asked a few questions and the cashier was super helpful. I will be coming back to try more of their foods.

My sweet daughter likes to … I should say, makes me try new places with her. I have lived in Placentia for awhile and just never went inside of Avalon Bagels to Burgers. She was itching to go… I asked her for the turkey cranberry. When she brought it home, I took a bite into it and it had cream cheese, cranberry, turkey, lettuce, etc. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing because it taste weird with cream cheese and cranberry mixed. The bagel itself with cream cheese was really good! I’ll try again.

This place is really great! We’ve been for breakfast and lunch and the bagel sandwiches are delicous, fresh and reasonably priced. Plus, there is a train that goes around the ceiling so the kids are constantly entertained. Also, the apple sauce type concoction is seriously magical.

I’ve managed to come here a few times, but can only write a review based on their breakfast bagel melts and their overall customer service/store. This morning, I decided on the Egg, Cheddar Cheese, Bacon Melt, on a Whole Grain Bagel, with their cinnamon apples side. My daughter selected the Lox and Cream Cheese, on an Everything Bagel and my boyfriend a Jalapéno Cheese Bagel, with Cream Cheese. She also ordered a Peach Perfect Smoothie. She’s a creature of habit and is always pleased with those selection items. My boyfriend enjoyed his bagel(despite not being a big«bagel person») and the cream cheese. I also loved my selection and the bacon was cooked perfectly. We chose our order to-go, and it was all packaged up nicely, whether a bag or a box. The customer service is always warm and friendly, and while you may need to wait 15 minutes for your order(during a busy weekend AM rush), it’s always worth it. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Some are high top tables, some low ones, and booths. Outside tables, wrap around the side of the building. Inside are nice murals of Placentia and some surrounding landmarks, including signs of area high schools. They even have a small locomotive, on a track above, to gaze at. They have restrooms on-site and high chairs, plus offer free wifi. They are also known for their burgers, which I’ve yet to try and their smoothie selection. Make a stop here, if you haven’t yet. It’s a hit, with so many!

Pretty good bagel selection and their menu has a nice variety of breakfast and lunch sandwiches. I had the jalapeño bagel with cream cheese. It was nicely toasted and the cream cheese was not too little, not too much. My boyfriend got the omelet bagel. We also ordered an iced latte. This is where the stars get dinged. Upon our first sip we looked at each other confused. My fb asked, «what am I drinking? It tastes like burnt wood» which was very accurate. They were nice enough to refund the difference to change to a regular iced coffee and it tasted the same. I would come back if I could trust that their coffee isn’t burnt bc who doesn’t love a good coffee and bagel?!

The bagel sandwiches were delicious! I had to give this place a second try because the first time I went my order was all Jacked up. However the second time i went i took my battle buddies with me. They got our orders on point. I favor the Egg, Avacado, Jack cheese bagel sandwich. So bomb! A hole in the wall spot, they have a large selection of entrees but i have only had breakfast so far.

This is a little place next to a CVS. It has AMAZING food and such friendly staff. Like 30 varieties of bagels and unusual spreads for the bagels. I usually get the BLT with avocado and it’s the best BLT I’ve ever had. The coffee is amazing too. Seriously you can’t go wrong. Highly recommend this joint. It’s about $ 10 per person.

Their pizza isn’t very good at all! Don’t order it! It’s a bit on the soggy side and it tasted cheap and gross. I was hungry and had no other food options at the time, so I ended up eating it. On the bright side, their side salad was good, although it came with broccoli and I thought that was a little odd.

A cute hole in the wall. The waitress was very kind and helpful, which is always a plus :) They have a train that forever runs on the interior roof of the store with the number of rounds it’s completed in correlation to rotations around the earth(hard to explain, but it’s pretty neat). Being vegetarian, my friend and I ordered the avocado veggie, veggie melt and shared :) Both came with their signature chips and apple cinnamon desert. They were both uniquely tasteful. Definitely worth the try :)

Our favorite things to get are chocolate chip bagels toasted with cream cheese, everything bagels toasted with cream cheese and tomatoes(however the number of tomatoes provided has decreased over the years — it’s way better with two slices on each half), and the oatmeal. The burgers are great too, and the ham sandwiches. Denese is by far the best Manager! There is a big difference in service and time waiting(and accuracy of orders) when she’s there. I prefer to Saturdays over Sundays — although we do go both days some weekends. She is a gem, knows her customers and provides great service! We miss her when she’s not there. :).

My friends and I come here at least once a week, and we are regulars for a reason. The bagels, burgers, and smoothies never disappoint. It’s such a great environment regardless of what time we are dining there, and you literally can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. We were just there, on a Thursday evening, and while it was pretty empty, it was the best experience we have ever had in the many times we’ve been there. Denise was our amazing cashier and server, and she made us feel more welcomed than ever. She is the most friendly and kind person I’ve ever encountered at any establishment. I will absolutely be back more than usual now just because she is so wonderful and made my week a million times better!

This is the place I think of first when I’m hungry for something to eat in the morning. The breakfast omelette bagels are the best, and at a great value. I get them almost every time. Bagels are always fresh and in great variety. They sometimes have specials that I always try to grab to expand my horizons of the menu. I honestly haven’t been disappointed with any of the menu options. Someone tell how the pizza is. Smoothies, coffee, are good. Any purchase can get a 32oz drink for $ 2. The service is always good too. Very friendly. If there’s a mishap, they find a way to make you feel appreciated. Always recommend this place, try it.

Awesome mom and pop place. Hubby and I have been wanting a good bagel place since we moved into the area. I actually used to work at a café that specialized in making their own bagels, so I’ve always been a tough critic when it came down to anything breakfast/café/bagel related. Anyways, I’m a Unilocal hound: anything that catches my(or hubby’s) eye, then we’ll try out the place. Totally not disappointed. When you walk in, bagels are towards your left, cream cheese straight ahead, and cashier area a little to the right. Seating area on the complete right side of the café. You can phone in your order ahead of time and pick up at the cashier. All bagels are the same price, and I think they make them throughout the day, as we got some nice, fresh, still-warm ones in the middle of the afternoon before. While you wait, check out the little toy train between the cashier and the seating area that has been running for decades! We’re still trying to get through their entire menu. Haven’t been able to get through all of it because some of their menu items are soooo good that we don’t want to order anything else(and I tend to be the adventurous one in the relationship…). Some of our faves: super club, super cheeseburger, green chile burger, egg/cheese/ham breakfast melt on bagel, OJ smoothie(one of hubby’s faves, as it’s very similar to an Orange Julius). I do like their Cobb salad, and we love all of the bagels that has the cheese on top, and hubby likes their everything bagel, which has the poppyseed and sesame seeds. Service has been excellent. They have the motto that they reserve the right to overserve their customers. With us, they have definitely gone above and beyond to make sure we’re satisfied with our order. Never had any issue with any of the staff or any of our orders. And, even if there was a mistake, they fess up to it before we realized, and they do what they can to make it right. I totally respect that. Parking is fine. In same center as the 24-hour fitness, near Philly’s Best and McDonalds. Awesome. Keep on what you’re doing, Avalon! Do note: they close a little earlier on weekends. The Yorba Linda location closes earlier in general compared to the Placentia location.

Thinking this place should just be named Avalon because I had neither a burger nor a bagel and yet I was pretty happy. Looking for a faster food option that we could take away, we decided to try Avalon Bagels to Burgers. I ordered two cobb salads which consisted of crisp lettuce, real pieces of bacon(not bacon bits or imitation bacon), Grilled Chicken, Blue Cheese Crumbles, Tomato and fresh avocado. I ordered those with balsamic dressing and within a short while I was handed a bag with everything I needed including silverware. For a faster food option the cobb salad was really good. It’s not a high end restaurant cobb salad but it’s also not $ 14! So I went to the Placentia location because I was tired and put Avalon into the GPS and it took me there. The location itself was in a busy shopping area but I found parking easy enough. The physical store was clean and cute. Silly me though for going all the way to Placentia when they literally have a location in Yorba Linda down the street from my house! I’ll be back but probably to the other location!

What an interesting bagel place. When I walked in I did not know how to order. The menus were literally EVERYWHERE. I saw that you pick you own bagels by hand and there’s have a breakfast menu, bagel sandwiches, burgers, reg sandwiches and smoothies somewhere. I was a little overwhelmed. I ended up with a Turkey Melt(no tomatoes, like always) and the OJ Magic smoothie. I paid $ 12-$ 13 for just those two items. I’d say it’s definitely a bit overpriced, but the bagel was a lot bigger than I expected; which was good! As for the turkey melt… It was okay. Nothing special. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing? It also came with some garlic chips(?) and some cinnamon apples. I was surprised when I got it on the side with my sandwich. The OJ Magic had strong taste of orange juice and it was a pretty large size! It wasn’t really my type of smoothie but it was good. I probably wouldn’t get it again though. When I got there all the tables were dirty. 2 girls asked if I was ready while I was still deciding but I thought one of them could have wiped down tables since it wasn’t that busy. Service was okay here.
