Denny’s

If i could rate zero stars i would. We had the worst service ever. As a server, i am pretty understanding that mistakes happen and that things take longer when its busy. BUT, when there are maybe 3 tables in the whole restaurant and there are 2 servers talking to their friends about getting drunk after work while we have no refills, and no one checking up at all, and only come by to drop off the check without saying one word, theres something wrong. Dont go on a sunday evening for sureeeee.

This is type of resturant we go get a quick bite with no high expectations. But boy yesterday visit was really Horrible. My boyfriend and I just want a dessert and talk. The waitress at first she was nice.
They sat us next to this family of 4 the loudest chatter box family in the whole resturant. To make it worst the waitress comes over talks them about her daughter in Mexico and shows them pictures on her phones. Sorry management should have a talk with her. I guess Dennys employees get paid high dollars to sit the and socialize with customer for more then 10 minutes .
I was so bother we took your drinks to go. BTW she got my Sundae flavors wrong. No more visits.

Shit service, food was cold and didn’t have red potatoes for there fit veggie skillet. Tried to pass fried potatoes off for them. Place was empty and now i know why.

Breakfast at Denny’s is our fav. We always get the 2,4,6 or 8 menu it’s so cheap and delicious. We being the whole family and they always enjoy it. No disappointment.

The worst service I could ever imagine. I’m not one to bring issues up either, but my service tonight was so embarrassing that I just had too.
The waiter refused to sit us somewhere else after asking her, waiting 35 minutes just to order and then she forgot to bring my order. Again I brought this issue up with her and she blew me off.
Never returning and never going to a Dennie’s again. Norms has far better food and quality of service.

I’ve come here many times in the past and the food was good. This time I had breakfast and the bacon was tasteless, hash browns too salty, and the toast was not well buttered. I was very disappointed because this restaurant used to be reliably good. Next time I’ll get breakfast at Shortyz, which gets a great rating on Unilocal

We stopped in for a quick brunch/​lunch. we were both happy with our meals… he had chicken fried steak and eggs and I had the super bird sandwich. .our waitress Jazmin. was attentive and friendly. .we will come back again…

I gave this place so many opportunities to get a great review but it just never happened. We were seated immediately, which was nice. We ordered our food and drinks, and that’s when everything went sour. People got the wrong drinks. My buddy ordered the veggie burger with sauteed mushrooms, and got no mushrooms. I ordered the create your own burger with a hamburger patty, a chicken patty with mayo. Got a hamburger with a veggie patty instead. No big deal until she told me it was a chicken patty. I had to rip off a piece and show her it was not chicken. She came back a few minutes later with the right sandwich but no mayo. Ok. I asked for mayo on the side, and she seemed like it was a burden for her. Burger was good and juicy, which was a plus. All would have been ok if the service was on par. But it wasn’t. We had to keep flagging her down. Tough night, I guess. Refills took forever. The bill took forever. Actually, the bill never came. We had to get up from our seats and walk to the cash register and get our bill. I can understand if it was busy but we were one of two tables in that place. Again, I dislike bad reviews but this one was warranted. Aye caramba!

It’s Dennys so don’t expect anything more. Kids eat free in Saturday and Tuesday between 4pm and 10pm.

I can understand it’s difficult to rate a chain restaurant anything extreme because overall the idea will always be the same. I find it amusing that some of the ratings on this specific Denny’s praise it for its excellence but give it a 3 star because it’s part of a major franchise food business.
Personally, I love the spirit of small business, and I love trying new food, but it doesn’t mean I won’t eat at a major restaurant here and there. I went to this Dennys because it was near my hotel, and I wanted a sit-​down lunch. The service at this location was phenomenal. They didn’t show me the new table design, or the dish of the day. The service here was what everyone thinks of and wishes of from a traditional diner.
Quick seating, service when you need it, and accurate orders. My server even had the proper balance of not showing up too much to annoy me, but enough that my water cup was never empty. I couldn’t even see a dirty table; they kept the place cleaned up. It was a good experience. It is possible that I just had a wonderful shift, but you could say that at any restaurant.
Overall, I give this place a 5-​star rating. I can imagine other reviewers are resisting the urge to do that because they reserve the right to a 5-​star for the hot new restaurant in town. That being said if you’re going to go to a Dennys and expect to eat Denny’s food, this place is far above what you can expect from the other chain.

This Dennys is a very dirty and I believe unsafe place to eat the bread on my cheeseburger had mold on it hash browns weren’t even cooked all the way through and the service was terrible. I will not be dining there anymore.

When I first walked in, two girls were talking at the podium and didn’t even look up as they greeted my friend and I. Once we were seated and asked what we’d like to drink, the waitress walked away before I even finished telling her what I wanted.
I order chicken strips and got four small, overcooked, pieces of chicken. During the meal, the waitress (polite, but not attentive) only stopped by once to ask how we were doing and didn’t even bother to refill our glasses. The Denny’s was not busy at all so it’s not like she was just rushing around. I don’t generally expect much from Denny’s, but this experience was far below standard.

This place was absolutely horrid. I thought it was going to be a decent experience until we obtained our food… then that assumption went into the toilet.
We ordered a burger, an omelette, and a 2 item sampler. The omelette and burger were fine but the 2 item sampler was a complete disgrace; there were five cheese sticks and 2 chicken strips… it looked worse than what a child would make after school when they’re hungry and they grab stuff out of the freezer. So,
of course i sent it back… and that’s where everything turned sour.
We were right there and we could hear the conversation between the waitress and the cook; i assumed they didn’t think i could understand spanish but, tough for them, i can… and the way they talk about their customers was pathetic. They started laughing at us making fun of us in the kitchen… even the manager was pointing at us and laughing along with the waitress. Do not go here; its a complete sack of trash where the people think its appropriate to laugh at their guests for returning something that they couldn’t cook (but a 4 year old child could… much better might i add).
So, I highly advise going to another denny’s or heck, Ihop is right down the street… there’s also another denny’s a little further from there. Save yourself the horrible excuse for food and the even worse customer service — you don’t need to be treated the way i was—

So why review a Denny’s? This is actually my 2^nd one. I think when a place with a stigmatism like Denny’s does it right, I want to take notice.
Being the coupon freaks we are, this particular Denny’s always has some decent coupons out there, usually 20% off your meal. That usually brings it down to about $ 25 for 2 with drinks, and this is for actual dinners, not their $ 2, $ 4, $ 6, $ 8 specials.
Another thing we like is this Denny’s is very clean and well kept. It’s actually in the parking lot of a Best Western Motel so I’m guessing more motel guests eat there than anyone else because they are never super busy. Another reason we like this particular Denny’s. It is just never busy when we’re there. (Hmmmm, maybe I shouldn’t review it then so it doesn’t get too busy?)
Also, the service has always been better than your average Denny’s. Another plus.
So, clean, coupons, good service, and you’re basic Denny’s food all make one a place we’ll return to on a regular basis.

Pretty good! Nice, clean. Not too crowded.. my 18 year old and I come all the time. She’s picky so if she likes it, we just go to the same place. Wasting money isn’t something I like … so it’s best to go where I know she’ll like what she eats!

It was really late so I understand. The manager sat us immediately but the server took along time to take care of us manager kind of micro managed. The guy poured at our drinks to confirm what they were and never refilled them. But it was late like Two am so I don’t expect much service

Internally a better looking location and more foot traffic on a late Friday afternoon compared to the State College/​Via Burton.
The food parallels other Denny’s properties scattered throughout OC, properly made.
Service was excellent, refills and extra napkins nicely provided.
Used a $ 5 off coupon, which served it’s purpose well. I might start coming to this Denny’s more, just because it’s next to a Best Western rather than a (semi-​seedy) Motel 6.

Like many others have said, it’s a Denny’s. But this one IMO is the best one in the area. I’m not a late night diner, but this Denny’s has become our go to location when we are in a «breakfast for dinner» mood. We also enjoy the Tuesday and Sunday kids eat free promo they offer from time to time.
The service and food is always consistent and good. The staff keeps the restaurant clean and are never far away if you need anything.

What can I say about Denny’s? It’s the place you go, when it’s 2am, and nothing else is really open. You usually order the same thing, cause if you are going to Denny’s at 2am, you probably already know what you want to eat.
For me, that would be the Country Fried Steak and eggs. Eggs sunny side up with white bread toast. Simple right?
One of the perks of being at Denny’s at 2am, is that you can people watch. There is a different kind of crowd at this time of night than say during the day?
I give Denny’s three stars. Cause come on, it’s Denny’s.
