Is anyone remember the commercial where is beef? I had exactly felt same when I pick up chicken. Where is my breast? They cut off 1⁄3 of meat from breast so leave just bone. Again where is my breast? Deceive way to business as I hated. What is differ than El Pollo loco? They do I do, it is shame. I rather pay more for regular chicken than lot of missing meat and again unethical way to do business. Another terrible experience and shameful.

Had the torta & mixed fajitas… Yummiest fajitas I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Incredibly flavorful. It’s super busy & loud on the weekends so try it on a weekday instead

Despite it taking much longer than I anticipated, they did oblige when I asked for enchiladas despite it not being on the for the enchiladas, they were very tasty. Better than some other places that they are nearby that have enchiladas on the menu. Beans were nothing special, rice was a little dry.

Two whole chickens(16pc), rice, beans, tortillas, etc. ~$ 22! Not only is this a great deal but the chicken is awesome. It’s also nice they take credit cards. Basically everything you really want for a party of 8 – 10. Six of us had this and we had almost a whole chicken left. Will definitely be back.

I just tried the place for the first time, I let them know It was my first purchase and wanted a whole chicken, she kept wanting to sell me sides until I finally asked can I get just a whole chicken to go, finally she said yes. I asked for a fresh chicken and I wanted it moist she assured me it would be. You can probably guess I got it home and it was over cooked and dry, I’m really not happy It was obvious even looking at it it was over cooked. I plan on stopping by and letting them know it was a waist of my money and time. I live to city’s over so it was not going to be an option to go back once I discovered the chicken was dry. I know some have had a good experience here I will never waist my time and money there again.

El Pollo Loco is a joke compared to this place. The chicken simply fantastic, fresh and tasty!!! Real good menu too!

This is one of my favorite places. Great staff and quick service. The chicken at this place skin is crispy and the meat still soft. Lemon pepper and mild were good.

I grew up in a house that was exactly 0.7 miles from this place(thanks Google maps!). I lived there from 1979 to 2005. Placentia is a quaint little town and has a heavy Mexican-American population. Put it to you like this, I order in Spanish every time I go. When you see velvet paintings of a bull and a rooster on the wall, well, you know it’s authentic. I moved away from California in 2005 and I’ve spent the last 9 years of my life trying to clone this chicken recipe. I’ve failed every time. I’ve pleaded with the people who work there to tell me the secret of the recipe. What is the marinade? What makes it yellow? What is the core flavor??? I’ve even flashed my Virginia driver’s license and swore a blood oath to never tell. I told them living 3,000 miles way your secret will be safe with me. They won’t budge. My only recourse is to keep traveling back to California once a year to indulge in the greatest marinated grilled chicken ever created by human hands. «Here endeth the lesson» –Sean Connery

Been coming here every weekend for about 9 years and never got tired of it. BUT it has now been sold and the new owner changed everything. Chicken has no famous Pollo Fino seasoning and the red sauce is like water. You might as well go to Pollo loco. Sad to see the place go… it won’t be open too much longer.

So 2nd time around my mom ordered the ½ chicken a la carte. Basically no sides. But at $ 4.99 who cares. Certainly not mom! She loved it. Perfectly cooked! I got 3 buche tacos(that’s pork stomach). Oh, oh so yummy. What I like about this place a lot, is that their tacos are simply prepared. The Buche, onions, cilantro. That’s all you need. None of that fancy stuff that hides the meat. I’ll be back.

This is my wife’s favorite place for chicken. Whenever we’re doing laundry next door, we MUST go to El Pollo Fino. I’m particular to their tamales, but they have a pretty awesome breakfast as well. The ladies behind the register are nice and nice to look at. The price is pretty good as well, we usually eat for less than $ 12 and leave full.

I shop at Northgate for Mexican groceries and always pass this place but never go in. I was having a BBQ last weekend and was too tired(just had a baby) to cook so I looked up chicken on Unilocal!I’m so happy to of tried this place! The chicken rice, beans and homemade tortillas were a hit!!! Everyone wanted to know where I got the food!!! Also, it is super cheap. El pollo loco can’t hold a handle to this place

It’s okay. The chicken and rice were good. I wasn’t crazy about ordering the handmade tortillas and being given packaged tortillas instead(yeah, even though they threw them on the grill for a minute to char them, I am not so stupid that I can’t tell the difference). I also wasn’t crazy about the service — they didn’t seem happy about the fact that I didn’t speak Spanish. I probably won’t go back.

I have been in here with my girl about a half dozen times. I always get the two piece chicken and usually a taco on the side. The chicken is great. I get beans, rice, two pieces of chicken with flour tortillas. I load up at the salsa bar and make my own feeding instrument out of the tortilla. It all goes in, then reload. Very good place. The place gets loud sometimes which may be a turnoff but for me it kinda makes me laugh. Great people watching. Sometimes the mariachis’ will funnel in on a the weeekend. No clue where they come from but they pop in and pop out. This stomps El Pollo Loco into the ground. I’ll be going for a while. Prices are good.

Since I got my new job in the area I wanted to try new places. Based on the Unilocal reviews the husband and I decided to try this place. We were both really impressed. The food was good. I got the three piece chicken, which I thought was as good if not better then el pollo loco. It had great seasoning and wasn’t dry. The husband had the carne asada burrito. The meat had tons of flavor and it was good. It was about $ 15 for the chicken plate, a carne asada burrito, and a drink. I totally agree the place isn’t in the nicest location, and the place isn’t the cleanest either. We’ll be back for sure.

I have lived in this city for 23 years(well spent 1 year in Newport Beach for good behavior) and never crossed the threshold of this place. Probably because of the flat out nasty location. It is wedged between the old Bargain Basket(maybe a bargain, but try to find a basket) and seedy shops. I ventured in last Saturday and fought the crowds for my chicken. Unlike Pollo Loco(PL), you can venture off into other familiar mexican food if not in the mood for chicken. People were carrying out buckets of menudo and who knows what in styrofoam containers. The girl out the counter immediately identified my «gringo-ness» and allowed me to order in english. Got the ½ chicken, fresh made(right before your very eyes) tortillas and loaded up on salsa, cilantro and onions. Very good flavor and solid price. I will forge deeper into the menu on my next visit, and who knows, do a little shopping at the Northgate(a upgraded from the Bargain Basket) and play a little dominos with the guys at the corner donut shop. But let’s just take it one step at a time.
