I twice bought 3#s of bagged Fancy Mountain Grown pears for $ 2.99 and not only were they a deal, but the pears were superb! I just going to call Whole Foods to find out it they still have more. Thank you Goldbud. –B

Fun Pumpkin Hunting! SITREP Okay. I admit. I’m a BIT tardy on this review. Gotta kick it outta da can since we are already almost into the summer and here I’m still talking about Pumpkins! THESETUP Gold Bud Farms is a quaint, pastural environment that allows you to stop and peruse for your pumpkins. Now it’s not really MY cup of tea, because I really prefer the rough & tumble of getting into the vines and searching for that special«gourd»(or gourds) that I can than *UNSNAP* from the vine itself, like cutting an unbilical cord from a crying baby! It’s primal. It’s hunter-gatherer. It’s the«Pumpkin-experience» and what it is all about, baby. MYCOMPANIONS But okay. That’s NOT the set-up here. My lovely sweet friends like the fact that there is a large array of pumpkins, of all different sizes and assortments, that are«Pre-Cut» and laid out upon this beautiful pastoral setting of grasses and hay like some giant orange, multi-dimensional chessboard with a thousand different orangy-organic pieces. So be it. THELOWDOWN During the Autumnal Season with Halloween quicky approaching, this is a beautiful spot to chill, grab a pumpkin and have some Fall Fun!

Peaches! These are the best anywhere. We are on our second case of 31 peaches. Each one is perfect with incredible flavor. This is a great place to buy fruit!

Apples! There’s certainly no shortage of apple suppliers around these parts, and certainly visit more than one, but save most of your apple-buying for Gold Bud. There’s a reason they’ve been supplying the White House with apples for years. hmmm, how long? how many administrations? I’m not saying so you politicos don’t boycott… their apples would make you cross party lines anyway.(I’m told they also supply Martha Stewart, but I refuse to speak her name outloud.) We talked to the owner about his growing methods a few years back and I won’t tell you his full-on secret, but it has to do with splicing… Not a fancy place… but clean and very nice signage(I love a place who knows the value of good signage…), nobody selling dreamcatchers in the parking lot. They’re the only ones I know who take the time to shine the apples before boxing ‘em up. There’s even a nice patio with picnic tables overlooking their orchards. Go to a few other orchards for the full *Apple Hill Experience* but land last at Gold Bud for the major haul.
