Amazing bakery! Apple donuts baked fresh… oh yeah 99 cents!!! Amazing BBQ sauce made from Apples and cinnamon. Omg sounds weird… amazing!!! The chipotle apple bbq sauce amazing on chicken! The apple butter is delicious and I am in love with their dressing. Such a fun place to stop for local products and produce. I come here about 2 times a week and I LOVE it!!!

Have to definitely try their pastry and their apple cider when you come here. Favorite pastry: their dumplings overall are the BOMB!!! My all time favorite is: blueberry dumplings ~ you can taste the fresh blueberries, and the texture of the fresh pastry ~ not too sweet(which definitely add a ton of points in this era when many people are trying to watch what they eat and stay healthy). Their Apple donuts are famous and tasty also. Their Apple cider is very different compare to the apple juice you purchased in the supermarket(even though they said it’s organic) ~ try it for yourself and you will know what I mean. Their walnut it’s very fresh and the skin is thin and easier to remove compare to the other ones I have purchased from different places previously. Highly recommend this place if you are into fresh fruits, juice and pastry.

A fun spot to stop for a doughnut or cider. I really dislike that they sell so many imported vegetables. Not a lot of high quality vegetables. Fruit is hit and miss same as the grocery store.

Nice selection of veggies, and they’ve completed improvements to the site. Don’t buy their pies. We purchased a berry pie and it was inedible. Bitter, soggy, terrible. Could have done better at Safeways. Stick with the produce.

This place is great. They have a great selection of fresh produce as well as other delicious items such as jams, sauces, and bakery goods. The apple wine is to die for if you are a wine fan. A must stop if you are going to the Apple Hill area. Open year round!

This is like a must stop when i am visiting apple hill. Some of my must get is the Blackberry sour cream pie. This pie is so delicious, and every bite is filled with berries. The pie is not overly sweet and makes a great pairing with some wine or coffee. I like to get a pie to take home for the holidays, the pie is great for family dinner gatherings. Some of my favorites is the apple strudels and they do sell out quick. They are delicious and for $ 4. They do have wine tasting here and its only a small cost for $ 5. They will wave the cost if you buy a bottle. One of my favorites is the apple wine, wear its crisp, clear, and refreshing for the winter holidays. The market here has quite a bit of selection of Apples, and when it is apple season, i tend to go nuts for them good apples. I like to purchase the dough ball, where you roll out the dough and stuffed them with apple slices and sprinkle some cinnamon and brown sugar and you get some fresh homemade apple pies. Overall it does get busy during the holidays, but it is worth a nice visit with the snow and a few pictures for memory. Thanks for reading and have a great day.

This is a market place with amazing products. All of the apple products are ridiculously tasty. This is a must-come place to purchase some specialty apple products like jam, butter, wine, cider, and well… apples :) Prices are affordable. Check in and receive a free bottle of apple cider. Go! Enjoy yourselves.

DONOTMISSFREECIDERFORCHECKINGIN! We winded down from an overcast day wine tasting(Crystal Basin Cellars) and beer tasting(Jack Russell) in front of the fire at Boa Vista Orchards. It was March so not much to pick ourselves and a pretty slow day but the staff were friendly and welcoming nonetheless. Even though it was March, they had a wide variety of apple pastries and treats including: apple pie, apple turn overs, apple tarts, caramel covered apples, caramel-nut covered apples. Admittedly I’m not a big fan of cooked fruit so went with the sugar doughnut and did not regret it for a moment! PROS: open market, lots of selection in produce CONS: Cold, parking across the street(don’t miss the entrance!)

One of the best Apple farm in Placerville. Awesome market for fresh and organic produce. The market Apple also offer variety of pies both frozen and warm. The pies are divine. Their apple butter are awesome and I always ended up buying one of each to take home. This is our go to family fall get together venue.(Apple Fall Harvest).

Super friendly staff and quaint little stop off spot ! The husband and I had a tasting of ciders while baby had a glazed apple donut. Donut was $ 1. And the tasting was $ 10 for 20oz. And $ 10 for the 2 pints of our favorite choice. Very great service and pricing. Then, it gets even better! Do a check in… we got a free apple cider just for checking in. You can choice hot or cold but we chose cold for baby. ND we left with extra donuts and treats for later!

When we went, they had a sampling stand where you could try slices of different pears and apples. Towards the back, you can do a wine tasting for only $ 5. $ 5!!! We tried two red dry wines, two dessert wines, and three apple wines. My favorites were the petite sirah dessert wine, the apple blackberry wine, and the hot spiced apple cider wine. They also have a corn dog stand that sells the most amazingly fresh corndogs with the softest batter I’ve ever tasted. Definitely worth a try. Overall, this place was definitely at the top of my list because of the market, the wine tasting, and the corn dog stand. Ended up buying a bag of the apple cider spices so I can concoct my own hot seasoned apple cider for the chillier weather.

This is a marketplace and it has frozen and baked pies, sauces, juices, ciders, wine tasting, fruits, etc. Great little market and very busy. I bought a jar of apple juice from here last year and I came back for more. It’s so refreshing! 1 gallon for $ 8.99. I also took a mini apple pie(8 in) home for $ 7.99. Definitely recommend this place.

One of my favorite farms in Apple Hill. It’s simple(doesn’t have as many bells and whistles as some of the other farms), but always great. They also hands down have the BEST apple donuts of all the farms, IMHO. I’ll admit that the fritters are better elsewhere, but the glazed and sugar apple donuts are to die for. I like to think of myself as a donut connoisseur, but you don’t have to take my word for it… go get one(or a dozen) for yourself! Pro tip: If you«check in» on the Unilocal app, you get a free yummy apple cider!

«Why should High Hill Ranch get to stomp around like a giant, while the rest of us try not to get smushed under his big feet? What’s so great about High Hill Ranch? Hm? Boa Vista is just as cute as High Hill. Boa Vista is just as smart as High Hill. People totally like Boa Vista just as much as they like High Hill. And when did it become okay for one person to be the boss of everybody, huh? Because that’s not what Apple Hill is about. We should totally just stab High Hill!” – Gretchen Wieners Boa Vista is awesome but for some reason not as popular as the larger High Hill Ranch up the street. The food is good, the cider is excellent, and the caramel apples are the . Check out this place later in the day when the crowd dies down to really appreciate the vendors and offerings without having to throw elbows around.

Boa Vista is the BEST orchard in all of Apple Hill! It’s always my first stop when I come up to Apple Hill for my annual fall visit. Their apple selection is vast and always of great quality. My favorite varieties of apples are Fuji and Gala. Boa Vista grows both and they are so good. Nice and sweet. They have a tasting booth where you can sample some of the more unique varieties of apples and also some pears. The pears I sampled were very ripe, so I passed of purchasing some of them. I bought some Gala for $ 1.49/lb and Fuji for .99/lb. That’s a pretty good deal for fresh off the farm fruit! I also noticed they sold a few veggies and with it being October they had a small pumpkin selection. Boa Vista offers numerous fresh, homemade apple products. Everything from pies to apple butter to cider to apple donuts. My favorites are their applesauce and apple juice. Their applesauce isn’t super chunky, which is something I hate and their apple juice is sweet but not overpoweringly so. Along with apple goods, they also sell jams, jellies, and sauces. This last trip I purchased some honey sriracha barbecue sauce. Can’t wait to try that out. For the alcohol lovers out there, they have their own wine selection! I even think you can do tastings. I will say that I do think that some of their products are overpriced. I saw some frozen apple turnovers and they were $ 10.99 for two or three. Full apple pies were only two bucks more! A 32oz bottle of apple juice was $ 3.99 and a jar of applesauce was $ 2.99. I think that’s a pretty fair price. They have a small bakery window where you can order pie by the slice, fresh apple donuts, and I think they have a small menu where you can grab something for lunch. My quest of the day was to find the best apple donut in Apple Hill, but the line at the bakery was super long so I didn’t get the chance to try one out. They sure smelled great though. The crowd here on a Wednesday afternoon was pretty large. I can’t imagine what it’s like on the weekend. Well, yeah I can… flippin’ crazy! Come right after opening or before closing to try and miss those crowds. Parking is easy. There is a lot next to the stand and one across the street as well. Each orchard in Apple Hill offers a little something different. Looking for a large apple selection and a great assortment of sauces, juices, and pies? Then Boa Vista is the place for you!

For us city-folk, this place is amazing as you have an orchard, county-fair atmosphere, bakery, bbq, fruit/vegetable market, arts & crafts, winery, etc. all in one location. And did I mention the view? Nice view of the rolling hills — an idyllic setting that takes you away from the hustle and bustle of city-life. Can we move here now? The fruit/vegetable section has a large selection of apples, pears, and other vegetables. There is a table where two ladies are slicing up apple and pear samples. To be honest, I liked the juicy pears more than the apples. Buyers have the option of buying apples by the box, individually by the pound, or in small containers for a quick sell for near ripe fruit. We bought the smaller, cheaper containers of fruit which still were pretty firm to the touch. Price was half of the price by pound. Unpasteurized apple cider is also available in the refrigerated section. For baked goods, there are two bakery sections: One section for whole or by the slice pies, and the second section for fritters, donuts, strudel, cookies, turnovers, and dumplings. The glazed apple donuts, apple fritters, and apple dumplings appeared to be the big sellers. I for one liked the blueberry dumplings and the apple fritter. You can also buy frozen pies for home baking. Hint…go early on weekends as the traffic is horrible after 11am.

If you’re only going to make three stops on your Apple Hill trip, make sure that it is Boa’s Orchard, High Hill Ranch, and Abel’s Acres. Between the three of these, you’ll get everything apple you could ever want or need. Checking in on Unilocal secures you a free bottle of their amazing apple cider, so don’t miss out on that sweet deal! You pick it up at their bakery which has apple cookies, brownies, pies of all sorts, and of course apple donuts. These donuts are amazing. I love the farmers market type of vibe you get here, and the produce is so fresh and fragrant. You can always find them giving away samples of their pears and apples and whatever fruits may be in season. They also do sampling of wine as well. Multiple vendors outside add to this wonderful vibe as well. The freezers chock full of frozen pies, crumbles, dumplings, and cider are just a complete heaven send. I love giving these pies as gifts or bringing them over to parties. They are always delicious and a hit with everyone. There seems to be ample parking despite them always being busy. They are easy to find off the main drag, but for some reason are not on the Apple Hill brocure, weird. It doesn’t hurt their business as is evident by their traffic. Long story short, just go. You can never go wrong with this stop.

I went crazy here and bought so much yummy food! This was my favorite orchard out of all of those that we visited. It was the most delicious and cheapest. Highlights were the: Apple pie(both original and Dutch), blackberry pastries(bought them frozen for later), apple cider(free if you check in with Unilocal), green hot sauce, and plum butter! This place also has adorable shops and I got most of my Christmas shopping done here for my grandparents. Come here if you’re in the area!

I visit Boa Vista Orchards several times a year when heading up 50 or visiting Apple Hill. They are open year-round and have a nice farmer’s market feel and reasonable prices. Their fresh cider is always good with a good selection of specialty apples and good discounts on bulk purchases. Parking is also nice, except during busy times of course. Plus, Apple Wine! Their baked goods are decent, but there are usually better options during peak season. They lack organic options, and I wish they had more options for the caramel apples. Nevertheless, everyone is usually pleased with BVO, and they typically do a great job of attracting arts and crafts vendors on the weekends and have a spectacular view.
