These are SOO good. We went to Apple Hill for a weekend with the family and we had so many doughnuts and cider. Must try!

When autumn approaches, I start dreaming about the Apple fritters from High Hill Ranch. These are fried balls of apple and cinnamon goodness! They are huge and can easily be shared, but sharing is overrated. Get your own, you won’t regret it. The location is the easiest to find on the loop, and provides great scenery and no shortage of things to do, taste, and see. There is a small bar that pours everything from apple beers, apple wines, to apple milkshakes. The one downside of this place is that it gets incredibly crowded and seems to be the most congested of all the farms. I think their location has everything to do with it. It seems to be a popular place for school field trips and day trips for those elderly in homes. Despite all the crowds, it is a definitely a stop I’d recommend on the Apple Hill loop.

Ridiculous amounts of people! Super congested area. I guess this is the first stop on Carson Road and everyone thinks that’s it! Drive Further in people!!! There are other great locations for Apple anything in this area! High Hill is like a tourist trap, but it’s tradition for me to stop in and get a apple fritter and a couple of apple donuts. There’s picnic tables around a lake and a large amount of craft tables selling different items, from paintings to household goods. There are also Hay rides as well. Great place to take the family if you’ve never been, but also check out the rest of the area. Every little apple stop has something to offer!

We were here last year and they keep on improving this place. Pretty cool! We ordered their Apple pie to go which was so delicious as always. And worth the drive just for it. Crust is perfect with tons of apples. Flavors comes together perfectly. We also got lemon and raspberries pastry. Lemon pastry the fluffy and crunchy flavor of the dough for perfect. The downside is lemon filing. You can taste is so fake :( Same thing with raspberry filling. Not the real thing. Anyways we still will be back for more for the apple, berry pie soon!

High hill ranch: Complete crap. This place may be the go to tourist spot especially if you have kids but I’ll never go here again… Last year they gave me the wrong pie(didn’t notice until I got home and took it out of the bag) yet they charged me for the more expensive pie… Of course I called. Left a message. No response. Next I went here two days before Xmas. If you didn’t know they close Xmas eve. But last year, apparently they closed well before that… Showed up. No signs. No people. Just a ghost town… Cool. Got a pie on Saturday… The F%%+$+# thing is RAW from the topping to the bottom the crust. I’ll never let then rip me off ever again there are plenty of other places that are reliable up there. See photo. On top of that, the donuts are over-rated and over-priced. I agree with others that they are sometimes stale. And some of those cashiers INDEED handle your food/money without washing em. HAVEFUNTOURISTS!
