Killer beer selection and amazing prices! Atmosphere was great too. First time here, but will definitely be back!

I want to love this place but its just Ok… I love trying new places in Placerville and was hoping for better. Server didn’t seem like she had a clue about the menu, we had the feeling she might have been a friend just filling in? I ordered the caesar salad & she asked what kind of dressing I wanted… hmmm, I said, Caesar? She had to go and ask if they had it… I ordered it with anchovies and it didn’t come with any… when I asked her about that, she said «I’m not sure they have that» (it says so on the menu)…she did bring some. Salad was, hate to be repetitive here, just «ok», very basic, no special «house made» taste whatsoever, wish I tried the soup.
Had a nice champagne cocktail, the wine and beer selection is quite nice and prices great. They need better lighting in there and clean up a bit; glasses on shelves looked dirty and there was a dirty rag in the bathroom…
I so want a variety of places in town and I hope this place can improve a bit (most reviews seem positive) and we may eventually give it another try…

Very comfortable and friendly restaurant — good staff. Appetizers were excellent — stuffed mushrooms, bacon wrapped chicken and apple cheese things. Wine was also terrific. We don’t recommend the chili dogs — chili was way too sweet.

Finally, my kind of clam chowder. Not that gloppy wallpaper paste most restaurants seem bent on serving, but more broth-​like, letting the flavors come through.
Crab cakes were very good!
The Chix sandwich was OK, although I should have read the menu a little more closely. It’s a cold, chicken salad sandwich. The croissant it was on had the texture and taste of those ones you get in bulk at Safeway.
We all agreed the Pasta Valencia was excellent.
It was a bit cold inside when we first came in but they bumped up the heat as soon as we asked.
Prices were very reasonable.
Finally, where else in town can you get an excellent $ 15 bottle of Merlot. (Rancho de Amore). Nowhere else I know of. The whole wine list was very reasonably priced.
We’ll be back. :)

We stopped in for lunch on a rainy day. A glass of warm mulled wine and some lunch specials chased off the chill of the rain. The food is excellent, the prices very reasonable.

Cosy spot. The warm mulled wine made it the perfect pit stop on the drive back home after a weekend on the slopes.

They have a great wine and beer selection. Servers are friendly. They need to do something about the air quality in this place. It is hot and stuffy and it smells like greasy food every time we go in there. They need better venting or fans???

I really enjoy coming here! The service is always great and they have an insane beer selection. Prices are always low and it’s always fun when the live music is happening.

The server that we had did not know the difference between cioppino and chowder. We were extremely disappointed with the tapas: everything was covered in canned Marinara sauce.
The environment was nice, but we are not coming back.

Our first time there and we had a blast! Paula made us feel so welcome, the music was great and the clientele were very friendly! We will be back!

Gigi & I have been to It’s Personal 4 – 5 times now. While it got off to a slow start in the very beginning, they’ve quickly established themselves as a vital part of central Main Street in Placerville. They have a wide selection of beers and wines, while their menu is rapidly expanding and quite good!
It’s difficult breaking people’s old habits — including ours! — but we’re beginning to see many of the old «Main Street regulars» gravitating to It’s Personal’s warm atmosphere and good service.
The next time you’re in Placerville, give it a try!

Great wine beer and food. Very nice and friendly people and staff. Good menu, its so good gotta come back and try it all. Garlic shrimp, Philly cheese steak, and assorted pastas with good appetizers and desserts too. Dancing on certain nights Salsa on Wednesdays gets you up and going. Folk singing and open mic night with comedians on other nights.
Laid back atmoshere like your in your living room.
Come by and meet the friends and folks.

Super tasty food and service. Had a great dip sandwich and broccoli salad as well as a polish dog and fruit salad. Will definitely return here for another meal.

I was staying at the hotel down the street and was simply looking to buy a bottle of wine. I didn’t find a liquor store, but I did find this inviting, large, airy wine bar. The owner was very friendly and helpful. She let me sample a few reds that I was considering, and I was quite happy with the bottle of Stray Dog cabernet sauvignon that I ended up buying. The REALLY nice touch was allowing me to take a real wine glass with me back to the hotel for the evening, to return in the morning. I hate drinking good wine out of a bad glass, so I was very grateful for her generosity (and I returned the glass as promised!).

I just went here and spent over a $ 100 to feed my family and it was by far the WORST food I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I ordered a filly cheese steak not only was it cold but it came in a hot dog bun. The «cheese» was squirt cheese from a can. All of our meals were cold. Nor were the orders correct. The server took extremely long and must not have bothered to hear what we were asking for. I asked for a raspberry izze and was brought BlackBerry. Not to mention they had no milk. I had to go to a DIFFERENT restaurant just to get a drink for my daughter. Nor did they have a high chair.
When I walked back to the restroom I passed what was supposed to be the kitchen and saw a man warming things on a hot plate. Hot plate? At a restaurant?
So disappointed.

My husband and I went to give this place a try on Sunday afternoon. It is a large space full of tables and couches, more akin to what I would expect in a coffee house rather than a wine bar/​tapas place. There was a singer/​song writer playing upstairs, and one woman tending the bar. The place wasn’t crowded, but it was busy. We went to the bar to order. We ordered two glasses of wine and their tapas sampler. Service was not unfriendly, but curt. I understand, she was busy and I don’t need someone to be nice to me as long as I get the stuff I ordered.
We tried to get a table as far away from the music as possible so we could talk (we are music people, music doesn’t bother us), but it was really loud and impossible, even in the farthest corner. I understand loud music in a bar or at night, but to have blaring acoustic singer songwriter with an electric drum track at 2 in the afternoon was a little much for us. We went outside. She brought out our sampler, which cost $ 10 and consisted of 6 bite-​sized pieces. The pieces were good, but very over priced for what you were given. I can get a whole meal for $ 10 at many other establishments on Main St. Our wine was mediocre, but we did just get glasses of house wine — nothing special.
I won’t go back. No reason to. Not a great atmosphere, not good prices, not good wine, not great service. Just overall meh.

We love this place! The owners are super friendly! They now have beer on tap which is great for us… Hubby likes the beer and wifey likes the wine! We ordered our food from them. They order out from Pizza Bene. It was hot! They put it on plates too!
We also did our own wine bottles for Christmas for our whole family of our son. It turned out perfect! They were done within 30 minutes and we had our own personal wine bottle it was AWESOME!
They will be moving soon to a new location in downtown and we can’t wait! The atmosphere is already so chill and relaxed. The new place is going to really be awesome and we can’t wait.
LOVE LOVE LOVE that we get to bring in our baby girl, LC. Our chocolate lab. Being able to bring in our whole family for an afternoon is just what the doctor ordered.

It’s an appropriate name because of the very friendly service. I had a fantastic Tempranillo from Van dee Vijver Estate in El Dorado County. It was jammy, mellow, thick and luscious. My partner had the Amber ale, so he missed out on a lot The ambiance is warm and cozy and the Billie Holliday music was an extra plus.

We love to go to Placerville and we always stop at It’s Personal to share a bottle of great El Dorado county wine. The people /​owners are friendly, very knowledgable and fun to hang out with. We will come back often.

Jesse remembered us from months ago! Super friendly and helpful. They helped us design our wedding champagne labels and were super cool about color changes on the label. Definitely will be coming back in the future!
