ok, warning here, I am really reviewing and raving about their ice cream dept. They still have Thriftys here, and it is the old Thrifty ice cream section where you get cones. Delicious large scoops of their ice cream, single is now $ 1.79 and the double is $ 2.49, both of which are way cheaper, esp considering how large the scoops are, than any other ice cream place in town or even in Sac. The servers are usually friendly and talkative, and you just get a great dessert! FYI the ice cream comes also in much larger containers in their ice cream fridge section and can go on sale for 2 for $ 7 or 2 For $ 6.

The pharmacists are great. Sunny also does her job well. I’m giving it three stars because of the long wait every time I need to pick up medication. It’s not the staff fault but they need additional staff at the pharmacy front counter for faster service.

Absolutely horrible service. Pharmacists are given the persscriptions days in advance yet they still tell you and say that«We will need about 15 minutes to fill it.» When you ask them when the received it they say that they«Just got it». From someone with chronic pancreatitis and a pancreas which does not produce insulin anymore its important to get your insulin and other things of that nature ONTIME. Go to any other pharmacy out there and you will get better service than you will get here. This place is a nightmare and I have had a few different times where my pain killers have a few missing from the bottle when I get home. HIGHLYRECOMMENDIFYOUHAVEANYNARCOTICSTOCOUNTTHEMBEFOREYOULEAVE. Never go to this place, pretty sure they are selling out the back of the store.

This store has been working on it’s customer service & that is good. Clerks are more friendly & efficient. All of this is good because it’s a great place for a delicious ice cream cone before leaving!

Two young girls running the pharmacy!!! Went in after a root canal and I sat for 40 minutes in pain listening to these two girls gossip. Not only were they horribly slow but when I finally checked out the one who rang me up told me «not to worry about it» when I asked how they ever got anything done. Really very disappointed but I guess its more the establishments fault letting two twits run a pharmacy. I love the Fair Ln location though, glad I was forced to go to that location.

My boyfriend and I will never go to this rite aid again. We have been there twice now, and both times had an aweful experience. The women that work here are rude and inconsiderate and need to work on their people skills. The pharmacist with short blonde hair is a real… well I guess this is where I don’t have anything nice to say so I won’t say it at all. But u get the picture.

New tradition after a trip out of Tahoe. Pass by Rite Aid for that tasty trip down memory lane. Thrifty’s ICECREAM! Oh my goodness. In the early 90’s before the times of endless Asian stores and Mercados there was a little Pharmacy chain called Thrifty’s. When one was in need of some lotion, tylenol or a peechy folder this individual could travel by foot to this neighborhood convenience store. Well along with friendly service there was a child’s most favorite part of visiting… the ice cream. Strawberry, Pina Colada, chocolate malted crunch, rocky road, butter pecan, pralines and cream, wonderful yummy flavors stacked in your cone or cup in the shape of the coolest cylinder. And back in the day, the price of one of these scoops was just 39cents. Now the price is 99 cents a scoop, STILL A DEAL, but now you have other flavors to choose from such as carrot cake. The ladies here are very sweet, asking us how the trip was as we march in with our clunky snow boots and pants. Genuine, honest business… and a small amount to pay for nostalgic yumminess!

I really only go here for the pharmacy, and there is one clerk that needs to go. She hardly ever has a smile on her face and she has been downright RUDE to me. I’ve actually considered taking my prescription across town because she is so unpleasant. They aren’t particularly speedy, either. The store is clean, but other than that there isn’t really anything exceptional about it.
