I am pretty astonished of how horrible my whole experience here was. I literally STILL have no words. Placerville is a small town so this Starbucks was the only one they had in town. Personally, I prefer Starbucks over the other coffee places because the drink are typically always consistent. So, as this may be the only location the drive thru was horrendous. I waited 20 mins to get my drink. I always order a venti iced latte: half vanilla half hazelnut and an additional espresso shot. Pretty simple. The person that took my order was friendly. It was the person at the window who took this experience and flushed it down the toilet. I get up to the window and this guy comes out and says, «sup?» So I reply, «ughhhh I ordered a drink?» He said oh yea. I need money from you. So I hand him my card and he disappears for another 5 mins before giving my card back, then a few mins later, my drink. He shoved my drink at me and rolled his eyes and sighed when he accidentally dropped my straw. His behavior screamed, «I hate my job.» And probably«my life.» He was rude. Plain and simple. If my drink had just been made there would still be ice. The ice melted and my drink tasted gross. Not like the other drinks I’ve gotten at other Starbucks locations. I didn’t finish my drink and I won’t be back. I’ll try my luck at one of the mom and pop places down the road.

We love this stop when we’re travelling through. A Starbucks is what it is, and they’ve done a good job here of adding to the Starbucks experience by hiring good people and giving them the freedom to have fun. Again, always a nice stop.

Went through the drive through to get a drink for my friend and I, the man that took down my order mocked me the entire time, stating they had so sweetener just sugar, I was confused as I always get a sweetener in my tea, as I went to pay he then carried on to be rude and mock me. when I told him he was being a bit ignorant he laughed and continued the say they never have sweetener, I will never be returning. I saw his name badge and his name was Tom. He as well asked if I’d like to speak to a manager I told him no as there was a line of cars, when I retuned home I decided to call, when I called the lady answered saying there manager was on maternity leave.

Purchased two gift cards. Loaded and put on their special Ap. Go to pay, one gift cards missing off the loaded ap, they scan card and tell me it’s not valid. What??? I know what I do, spend and wow. I am supposed to call 800 number. Not convenient. Not at all.

Definitely a great pit stop for a small warm snack and/or coffee before getting back on the road and heading the rest of the way to Tahoe. If you need to make a quick visit to the bathroom, it’s nice, clean, and comes equipped with a changing station(at least in the ladies). This location has more spacious seating than most other Starbucks I’ve been to which is a plus. But, if you just want to grab n go, there’s a drive thru for you. :)

Went here with a friend for hot cocoa and decaf Latte. Cost $ 7 for the both, hot cocoa with non-fat milk and no whip cream was $ 3.25 for a medium, 12 ounces, not bad price, tho I have recently had hot cocoas in Europe where they steam the milk for the drink and it makes it frothy and delicious, too bad this place doesn’t do that. $ 3.15 for small, 8 ounce, decaf Latte and $.60 more for soy milk. Little more than I would expect to add the soy. The server was pleasant, and it didn’t take long to get our drinks. The atmosphere isn’t that great, very small tables, and the acoustics were such that conversations in there were difficult b/c even with not that many seated customers, it was really loud. I wouldn’t suggest sitting inside but outside is probably better, tho in winter, I would suggest meeting somewhere else for coffee to ensure that you can have a nice conversation. However for a drive thru or take away, it is fine.

Went through the drive thru here on the way down from the mountains. They were very fast with my family’s large and complicated order-we got all the drinks almost immediately! My mom was very happy with the temperature of her«extra extra hot» chai tea latte. Good place to to stop while on a road trip.

Obviously I have been to many many Starbucks but I really like this one. They are very friendly. My only compliant is that sometimes the wait for your drink is longer than other places.

Super speedy and clean Starbucks. The drive through always moves quickly. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because of the parking lot/location. It’s not the easiest to get out of. The baristas are always fantastic and friendly.

This Starbucks was very rude. When I tasted my coffee it was not as it usually was. I asked if I could pay for an extra shot in it and the barista told me I would have to get back in line. The line was ridiculously long. So I walked away with a drink that was not correct.

I have never been to a Starbucks with customer service this ridiculous. The cashier was rude and completely disrespectful. I would never go back there.

This place is great. The baristas know what they’re doing, and the store was just remodeled. If you need to study or just meet up with some friends this place is definitely the Starbucks to go to!!!

This is a nice Starbucks as you are getting to head up the mountain via US50. Lots of room, plenty of parking, clean restrooms, cute and friendly baristas, and even a drive-through if you do not want to exit your car in inclement weather!

I’ve been to the Starbucks a few times, and each time I see they have a problem with flies. I hope in the near future this place can find a solution so there’s no flies buzzing around inside their Starbucks.

Came in here twice one weekend, once on the way up to Tahoe and then again on the way back. Both times I got the same lady taking my order. First time I had to walk back over and ask for more pumps of chai in my drink cause the barista couldn’t read her writing which totally looked like a 4 instead of a 9 like I asked for. I couldn’t blame the barista I mean it looked like a 4 for sure. So when I came back the second time I got the same lady so I really made sure she heard 9 pumps and she did and she clearly wrote it like a 4! When the guy was making it I watched and he only put in 4 and I got his attention and he said oh it says 4 and I said I know it looks like that huh? but its supposed to be 9 thats the way she writes. So he was happy to add more and I am glad I was on the alert and didn’t have to walk all the way back to fix my drink like before. When they get backed up they are pretty slow here and with the drive thru here if you are inside you aren’t served as fast I don’t think. But if you are ordering anything with 9 pumps of something beware you’ll only get 4LOL I know this since it has happened twice! Glad I didn’t use the drive thru I would have been really upset if I wouldn’t have been able to fix my drink and been up the road too far before I tried it. Its sorta conveniently located on the way up to Tahoe and a nice pit stop for a bathroom etc but be careful to fast your drinks before you leave the drive thru lane or the lobby.

I secretly love Starbucks! I mean, I’m a Gold Member at Starbucks! Any place with a rewards card is a solid to me! Don’t get me wrong, I love supporting local coffee shops, and I understand the fears around having a Starbucks move into town… they are pretty popular, and they seem to just get it right! Also, I have been a customer of Starbucks around the world! From Europe to China and back around to Peru… everything is very consistent, even the smell of the bathrooms! I am very impressed that such a large business has managed that. I’m a big fan of straight-up black coffee at Starbucks, and the breakfast sandwiches has been scrumptious life-savers more than once for a quick, tasty morning snack! For days of spoiling, I go for the green tea lattes OR the cheesecake brownie. Yum!

Cute building with really a really nice outdoor patio out front, including an umbrella. When we arrived, the place was well-staffed, with probably a dozen of so patrons sitting inside, and no wait. The guy who took our order was friendly and answered our questions about the iced teas available. Our drinks were ready within 2 minutes. Also, the ladies’ bathroom was clean.

Gayle and I are up in Genoa again for the Weekend. We got on the Road at about 1PM and arrived in Genoa about 4:30PM and in time for the Community Christmas Sing and Tree Lighting. One of the organizers was Gayle’s Mother, who is still a force of nature and a hoot to admire and watch. And what was she wearing on her nose? The Drive itself always requires a pit shop for coffee, a snack, and a chance to walk the dogs and make sure that they«do their business». Gayle was particularly keen to stop this time as she had not eaten Lunch and was feeling a bit cranky. We stopped at the«Downtown» Placerville Starbucks. It’s right off US50 and only the Left turn off the Freeway slows you down. This Starbucks is pretty much like any other, with the usual displays and odd nomenclature(e.g. Tall = Small), folks on their electronic helpers, travelers like us stopping in, and the happy faces behind the counter. This one is a bit on the small side and has lots of parking. The bottom line is that we were on and off the Highway quickly and with plenty of sustenance for the road ahead.
