This place mostly caters to the commercial customer or the residential heating customer. If you’re looking for a walk-in refill of smaller sized tanks, temper your expectations. First, the employees are not overly friendly. They tend to act like you’re an inconvenience, which considering they mostly sell larger quantities, maybe you are. If that’s the case, then they ought to just not do walk in refills. Now that being said, they do have a really go refill program in which they give you a card that gets stamped each time you refill a 20# tank, after you refill just 320# tanks, your 4th refill is free. Considering they charge the same or less than most tank exchange places, and they actually give you a 20 pound refill(most exchange places give you 15 – 17 pounds of propane, check it out!) it’s hard not to go there despite the less than enthusiastic employees. Plan on going early though as they close at 3 pm and earlier on Saturday. One other word of caution, if you for some reason use smaller than 20# tanks, this is NOT the place to get them filled. I had them fill a 5# tank that one would think would be roughly ¼ the price of a 20# tank to fill, but not so. They charged me just over $ 15! That is ridiculous when a 20# tank is $ 18. I realize there are some savings when buying quantities, but that pricing structure is simply ridiculous. I now go to the U-haul down on 59&111th and they charge per gallon, only for what you use. That same 5# tank now costs me just under $ 4 to fill!
