Days Inn Plainfield

I booked this hotel while overseas because my flight onto Indianapolis Airport had a late arrival time, and I chose this hotel because it advertised having shuttle service. When I get to the airport and call the hotel to have the shuttle pick me up I was told that they no longer have a shuttle! So I ask the clerk how I was supposed to get from the airport to the hotel and his reply was I can call you a cab, with an estimated cost of $ 20. I couldn’t get my money back because I had booked online, so in the end I paid another merciful shuttle driver from another hotel to drop me off. When I booked this hotel I sent them an email that I would need a shuttle and I would be a late arrival, but I guess they don’t read their email.
This was an OK hotel as budget hotels go and I would have gave it a 3 star rating if they had of had shuttle service. Also they don’t have an elevator and of course my room was on the second floor, and normally that would not have been a big deal, except that I hadn’t slept in 30 hours and with the lack of transportation I was a little distraught.

Stopped here on a road trip from the east coast to Kansas City. It was clean enough, quiet, and comfortable. It cost us about $ 80 to stay the night. No major issues.

We had a little trouble at check-​in that I think is as much the fault of the Wyndham online reservation as the motel (the reservation was pre-​paid, which isn’t very common, so the motel wanted payment when we checked in, so we had to jump through hoops to prove it was already paid); after that it was smooth sailing. The room was clean and presentable, the bed was comfortable, and the wi-​fi was free.
And then the next day we checked out their breakfast; besides the usual continental breakfast offerings they had a waffle station (my favorite!) and also these frozen mini-​omelet things. Pop one in the microwave for a couple minutes and ta-​da, a nice hot eggy-​melty-​cheesy thing! Not haute cuisine, but quite tasty, and something different to find at a motel breakfast.
