Extreme Tanning Salons

Not very friendly. Went in to actually tan and went out deciding not to give them my business. The young girl at the counter couldn’t have cared less about helping me.

I am very pleased with this tanning salon. They have a large number of beds and one of the widest varieties of beds I have ever seen. Because it is so large, there has never been a wait and it never feels crowded. Pricing is consistent with other salons of this type in the area. The salon is very well maintained as far as cleanliness and apparent upkeep of the beds. I always bring my own eyewear, but it is nice that this salon has eyewear in each room in case you ever forget yours.

I have to say I was kind of shocked by the prices when I first walked in but I quickly realized that its because of the WIDE variety of beds that are available and most of them are on the higher end of things. I usually only tan before a friends wedding and I tend to go to Sun Tan City but tonight I was in Plainfield running errands and didnt want to run to Mooresville as it was out of my way so I ran in here. The girl wasnt super friendly but she was nice and was willing to talk to me about what I wanted and made a recommendation. She was spot on about what I wanted! Something complementary to the Instant Bed at Sun Tan City and then the Mystic Tan.
While no music is playing in the salon as it is in most places I can say this… They offer eyewear in each booth. The booths are much larger so you arent crammed into this tiny room to change. They provide hair things in case you forgot yours, and even sample bronzers if you want to try them. Dont forget Spray Deodorant that is waiting for you when you get out of the bed. Did I mention that the beds are a better quality than any other place I have been to in the last year. Im sold.
So while they arent into showing you all the simple bells and whistles they have all the big bells and whistles. Amazing beds, a top of the line Mystic Tan and a staff member who is willing to walk you back and talk you through as well as genuinely getting you what you want even if she doesnt come off as the friendliest person she is the right person.
Im happy and I will be a return customer.

This place is alright. I’ve tanned here before vacation a few times. They have plenty of beds and are never too busy.
One thing that is annoying is that I’ve been there like 12 of the past 24 days and I’ve seen the same girl there 10 times and she still doesn’t know my name. Even after I give her my last name she still doesn’t know my first name.
It’s always clean. The prices are a little higher than other places but beds are nice.

I have been a patron of this facility for about 3 years. I have used a couple of other tanning salons since moving to Indiana from California in 2000. I was not pleased by the quality of beds in other salons. I have used high pressure bronzing beds (low to zero UVB) for the last 15 years. When I moved to Indy I could not find any salons with the same quality beds as we had in San Diego. Once I found Extreme Tan it was like coming home! Lol. They have the quality of bed like I have found at no other salon and the staff, after 3 years, are still very accommodating. I use the L33 and Mystic and yes, it’s rather expensive. If you know of a less expensive place with the same quality beds, please share! When people tell me they know a place I check it out and they do not have the same beds. I love this place! Oh and the owner is a really nice man!

I have to agree with the other reviewer. Expensive, rude and awful beds.

This place is very expensive. I had been going to No Lines tanning on main street and decided to try extreme tanning because it was a little closer. I was shocked at their extremely high prices. Having worked in a tanning salon for 3 years I know what to expect and these prices were more than unresonable. No lines tanning has the same quality of beds for about $ 100 less per package (Yes thats $ 100 less!). Not only was this place over priced the girl was rude, after reviewing the pricing of their packages I told her that it was a lot more than I wanted to spend and she insulted me by telling me it really was not that much money for a great tan. I would suggest going just about anywhere but here.
