Lighthouse Academy

I have two kids attending this place. I love it here. I’ve put my children in quite a few different child care centers before and I’d like to say that this is by far the best place I have put them. The teachers here are very kind and nurturing. They always do fun things with the children. When there’s a health outbreak (lice, whooping cough, stuff that’s unavoidable because they’re kids) they do a great job of letting parents know. They are GREAT at letting parents know what is going on with their kids. Great teachers, too! It’s a very clean childcare center (VERY IMPORTANT!). I’m glad this location is the one closest to me. I’m very happy with my child care choice and would highly recommend it to parents!

Lighthouse Academy is a quality day care center ran by a wonderful director and filled with enthusiastic and nurturing caregivers. The center is accredited by The National Association for the Education for Young Children (NAEYC) and The Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS). They believe in the highest-​level of education to help children learn and grow. The teachers are highly trained in CPR and First Aid. If they are not certified upon being hired, the center offers classes for them to become certified. Lighthouse Academy is a curriculum-​based center, which means they follow guidelines while teaching their children, making sure there is structure in their day. Lighthouse Academy focuses on the development of each child intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically. By focusing on all four of those areas, they are helping build the «whole child».
The center is known for its cleanliness and they uphold themselves to a high standard of being extremely clean. They clean the entire building at the end of every day. Each teacher is in charge of their own classrooms, and making sure that all toys and materials are bleached at the end of every day. It is very obvious when you walk into the building of this center that it is very clean and well taken care of.
Finding a day care center that is right for your children is important. Early childhood is such an important time in life, and finding quality care can be hard to come across. It is important to find a center that has the same beliefs and philosophies as your own, and by observing centers you can learn which is the best fit for your child. I highly recommend families and caregivers learn more about Lighthouse Academy.
