If you are looking for a true barber shop this is the place for you. I have been a regular since I found this place after moving to Plainfield. I’m a guy who is just looking for a good cut for a reasonable price. As a bonus I always like a barber that uses a straight edge razor. So they fill all the needs I am looking for in a barber.

Old school, no frills barber shop. Sports or news on the TV, check. Daily newspaper on a bench, check. Random guy talk about your job, your car, sports or current news, check. If you are a guy, stop going to those sport clip strip mall stores and go see these guys. There is a ton of history here and the haircuts are done by men who’ve done it thousands of times before.

This place is great. I go there with my little guy who is 4 and do it right. I love the old fashion barber shop that still keep going today.

I recently moved to Plainfield so I was looking for a new barber shop to get my ears lowered at, when I checked Unilocal!and found Lincoln Way Barber Shop. I was so excited when I found this place that I forgot to check in! This is an Old school barber shop that still uses a straight razor, warm shaving cream and a little Aqua Velva to finish off your cut. According to the Barbers there, this has been a barber shop since the 1880’s but its not a place where old codgers hang out to complain about young whipersnappers, its a full on Barber shop and doesn’t have an old fogey feeling about it at all. There are lots of bars and shopping downtown, so you can ditch the wife for a few minutes, get a haircut and have a good conversation to boot !

Been going to this Barber Shop for 18 years now since I moved to Plainfield. The barbers throughout the years have always done great work and keep fun conversations going so everyone feels like they are family. My brother and father have also been going here for 18 years and love it just as much. Let me also point out that the review earlier in here by Deb has no truth at all. There is no racism at this barber shop. They accept everyone equally.
