The interior of the restaurant was well decorated and spacious, I really like the big booths they have, it almost felt like we had our own private room. The person who greeted us in the entrance wasn’t very friendly, but our waitress was attentive and friendly. I was quite disappointed with the entrees we chose, the habachi new york strip and the yakisoba. Both were kind of bland, and the new york strip was chewy and dry. I also assumed since it said«habachi» that they would cook in front of you, but they have no hibachi grills/tables for customers to watch them cook. The reason I gave this place 3 stars instead of 2, is that the narita roll was pretty delicious. I’m assuming the other rolls would be good too, but I would definitely stay away from everything else.

Excellent food with some really good choices from the regular menu or the sushi menu and very yummy.

Disappointment does not describe the meal quality at Narita. I am a Japanese-American and I am almost offended that this place is able to maintain business. I had the Yakisoba with chicken and I must spare all of you the long review I originally planned. Let me describe this meal in short order: dry, hinting of authentic flavor and just bad in general. The sushi was just as poorly made with the taste and texture of Nobody cares. Definitely not sushi rice. Sorry, but save your money.

I stopped here for lunch after I flew in to Indianapolis airport. The restaurant is very clean and the atmosphere is quiet/relaxing. My food was ok. The ginger salad was pretty good. They have a great ginger dressing. I didn’t really like my miso soup. It was bland and didn’t have the savory element characteristic of miso. I got the hibachi scallops. There were at least 12 scallops which was awesome. However, the flavor of the dish was so-so. Overall, the price was right at $ 9.75 for scallop hibachi with soup and salad.

This is one of the finest Japanese restaurant in Indy I believe. The lunch special bento was truly amazing in quality and quantity

My wife and I eat there at least once per month. Tonight we saw significant improvements. We were greeted at the door and seated immediately around 6PM. The booth was private with high walls. We had a Touchdown sushi role followed by hibachi dinners of scallops, rib eye steak and calimari steak which came with soup & salad. The ginger/garlic salad dressing was fantastic. The young lady that took our order was very friendly, helpful and efficient. Can’t say anything negative.

One of the few sushi places in town that actually serves alcoholic beverages! This little place is conveniently located just off I-70 right between Plainfield and Mooresville. It’s never overly crowded the wait staff is friendly the place is well decorated and clean. I honestly have nothing at all bad to say about the food! This is not a hibachi steakhouse, but they do offer hibachi. Which, in addition to the sushi, is also delicious. For my Mooresville crowd — this is a more upscale option than A1& perfect for a date night or girls night out! I will say this as a negative — there is defiantly a awful smell coming from their sewer. I’m not sure it’s the establishments fault or not. It might be the grease trap(?) But it’s unsettling on your stomach — so if you can avoid the facilities — do so! It’s really too bad, because otherwise the place is a little gem.

Good selection of sushi and sashimi, with generous portions(we’re not paying for fancy real estate here!). Only about 1 or 2 minutes off I 70, but due to a «no left turn,» it’s 10 — 15 minutes to get back to the highway. Service speed has varied significantly. To-go orders really slow down a fairly empty restaurant, but so ask if you’re in a hurry! OTOH, service has sometimes been quite quick, and the waitress remembered our preferences on a return trips. We would never have eaten here if we’d stopped at the bathroom on the way in. Facilities have a funky smell, perhaps sewer, perhaps just mop water that gets re-used and re-used for days. Not good. Light switch is permanently stained, but looks filthy. Water faucet caked with lime-scale. Mirror splattered and streaked. None of this makes the food(or even toilets) unsanitary, but the restrooms resemble a gas station, not a nice restaurant! Strongly recommend someone do a little scrubbing and spend the few bucks that new fixtures would cost.

No hibachi. Good food, slow service, but great ambiance. Big booths with big walls for privacy.

They have probably made some improvements but you know how when you are not starving but you could eat, everything is just ok. Nothing stood out as good or bad.

Awesome food.: we had the sashimi salad and a couple of delicious rolls. This place is small but I like that. The sushi was perfect and the staff friendly.

Surprisingly good! Had a business trip to this small town and was very hesitant to go to a Japanese restaurant being in the middle of nowhere. I ordered the Hibachi Rib Eye and it had great flavor. The portion was huge! I was not able to finish it! Good job Indiana!

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Narita last night. Our server was so friendly and the private booth seating made us feel like we had the whole place to ourselves. We ordered five different sushi rolls and each one was just as good as the other. We will definitely put this place on our list of favorite sushi places and come back again.

If you love sushi, grilled steak & chicken, or any type of japanese cuisine, this place is great. Narita is in Plainfield right of I-70, a pretty good location in my opinion. There might be a day here and there where they’re slow, but they seem to be at a good pace for most of the time. The restaurant is clean every time I’ve been there. The sushi is very fresh and the other food is delicious. For those wondering, it isn’t a steakhouse. I highly recommend it if anyone’s looking for good asian food in a nice, laid back restaurant.

Great rice, mediocre sushi. I had the inside out Philadelphia roll. Great concept but the salmon was sliced too thick and the cream cheese ended up in unappetizing chunks. The best part about the sushi was the rice. It was perfectly stuck together and not too much was used. I also ordered the pork gyoza, which had a good flavor, but was a little greasy. This was my second visit to Narita. The first visit was much better. I may give it one more try…

Great sushi restaurant. Great combinations at a lower cost than many sushi houses. Great ownership and employees. They don’t have the typical Japanese Steakhouse fryers where you get food and a show, but they can make the steakhouse menu. Come here for the sushi, its worth the time and money. Try the Playboy or Scotty rolls, they put them in foil and set them on fire. They have a decent bar to sit at with very comfy chairs, but there’s only nine seats. They have two group rooms that I’ve rarely seen anyone use. This is a hidden gem, the west side of Indy is still a bit in the dark on sushi.

You never know when pulling off the interstate but very accommodating to this vegan. Pleasant surprise that their Miso soup is vegetable based. And the Hibachi vegetables are a great combination. They even made me vegan fries rice. Their menu looks good for the average sushi fan.
