On The Road Again

We used this business to run our estate sale earlier this year. Not only were they unorganized and slow to get things priced before the sale, but one female employee was a thief. She took several precious and expensive items and hid them around the house to help herself to, after the sale. These items were NOT INTENDED FOR SALE and had been placed In the ‘homeowners’ closet — but that did not stop her! Luckily, I was aware and found them in a linen closet and stuffed behind a closet wall. I brought this up to Nancy, and specifically explained what happened. Both my husband and I were adamant that their thief NOT be allowed back into our home for the three day sale. Nancy (owner) dismissed our feelings and insisted our concerns were invalid! The other owner, Jean, was very rude to us and all the customers. All she did was sit at the register and complain that we did not provide her with sweet rolls. I’m not even sure we received the correct monetary value for our items. We were also under the assumption they would take our left over furniture and put them on consignment in their shops. Oh no, not the case! They helped themselves to ALL my designer purses and clothes, but left the extremely large pieces with us! We thought our house would be empty when they were done. Not the case and we were stuck with a huge buffet, a full dining room set, bedroom sets, wicker furniture and oh so much more. I just wonder how much more was stolen from customers because they DID NOT have enough staff working the sale! What a joke these people are! On top of that — when we received our check from them — it bounced! Please think twice before using ON THE ROAD AGAIN for your estate sale needs. Lots of big promises before but once the sale is over — -good luck.
