Fresh sandwiches made with healthy items. The hummus is one of my favorites. The cheesecake jars are so FABULOUS! My favorites are turtle, anything with PB, and salted caramel. The décor is great, filled with family history. Love the staff. They always have a smile on and willing to help make a new choice for lunch or dinner. Plus, they just started serving breakfast. So much better than those unhealthy fast food places. Please, stop by and give the Cheesecake store a try!

I didnt fall in love with it but i was so supper impressed that he supported a local troop! The pace has a warm mom and pop feel. With a hint of hippy/tree hugger/burkenstock its just awesome!!!

Love, love, love this place! Just wish it were located in Edison Park instead of Plainfield :) Luckily my friend lives in Plainfield and brings the cheesecakes in a jar to me almost everytime I see her(she really is a great friend!!). My favorites have been cake batter, turtle, and chocolate chip. This weekend I was finally able to visit the café with her and I tried the Steve’s Red Light panini, which was sooo good!!! I can’t wait to make it out there again, so I can try one of the salads or wraps next.

Where to start? Well they are always smiling and very welcoming upon entering. The menu is not huge but has interesting selections that are considered uncommon. Gr8! I love unusual & different. Ive now tried several wraps & several panini’s and have concluded that Mr Buresh KNOWS how to assemble a menu. All of these items are 5 star quality. The service is always top shelf & reliable. My new fav is the Kung fu tuna wrap. Spinach wrap with a delightful serving of tuna w/a kick, cucumbers, fresh ruffage! Amazing taste! And that leads us to the star of the store, the cheesecake in a mason jar. I finally got to try some today. Boy was it amazing! I usually show up late like 7 pm and all the cheesecake jars are sold out. Had the cherry amaretto. today. Luscious! Many ideas for new flavors. Cheesecake prices are high, but well worth it!!! Sandwiches are actually a bargain considering what you get and the quality of food being put out. Do stop! 5 stars & I dont give them out often.

The cheese cake in a jar is absolutely delicious! Best idea ever. I love driving around town and finding Steve’s mini car in a parking lot. Being able to purchase the tasty snack in a jar when I have a sweet tooth is very convenient!

Had the maple bacon cheesecake in a jar. Great flavor, texture, and concept. And for the Unilocalers complaining about high prices… imagine trying to make a living AND paying a store-lease from selling small jars of cheesecake. Their pricing seems fair and obvious to me. Definitely will be back.

Steve recently started offering some of his graham cracker crust in a cup and I was finally able to get into the shop to grab some. GAMECHANGER! We throughly enjoyed our large jars last night(that were supposed to be dessert for Valentine’s Day, oops) with our extra«crust». Keep up the great work Steve!

First timer here, after following them on Facebook for months! A friend of mine is obsessed, and I had been meaning to try it, but whenever I had been out that way, the store would be closed. Finally made it out there on New Year’s Eve, and danggggg did it smell heavenly in there! Next time, I plan to bring my husband back to try their sandwiches and salads. I got 4 jars of cheesecake for us to split and try– all of them delicious! We got Turtle, Cookies and Cream, Vanilla Bean, and Gingerbread(my least fav out of the 4– it was too«spicy» of a ginger flavor). I do have a suggestion though! They should offer cheesecake parfaits– layers of cheesecake filling w/the crust in between. The crust was the best part, and just not enough IMO! There was a young girl(maybe 10?) running the cash register. I’m assuming she’s the owner’s daughter. But she was pleasant and did a great job too. Will definitely be back.

I was SUPER excited to try this place after following their Facebook page and reading the reviews here. The cheesecake in the jars is a great idea! I have zero complaints about portable cheesecake! I tried the key lime and the cherry cheesecake. The cheesecakes were OK, they could have been more flavorful and the texture is not what I expected. It was more like a very thick custard, than a cheesecake-like texture. Which is fine, just not what I expected. I tried the lobster bisque which was also OK. Again, not much flavor and very little lobster. To me it tasted very similar to the lobster bisque they sell at Mariano’s. Then, I tried the Reuben panini. This was pretty tasty! The slaw instead of sauerkraut was a really nice touch! Also really liked the hummus as a side. The restaurant itself is clean and very nicely decorated. The staff was so friendly!!! I’d really like to try the cheesecake ice cream, so I’ll probably be back.

What a unique business! I’d had my eye on SB’s Cheesecake Store for quite some time, and when I finally visited, I was pretty pumped. Mini mason jars? Filled with cheesecake?! Totes adorbs! I’ve been several times, and here are my pointers: Cheesecake: Reader beware — not all cheesecake is created equal. I’ve had very flavorful cheesecake here, and I’ve had very bland. This is much of the reason I’ve only marked three stars — no consistency. Some of the flavors I’ve picked have been wildly disappointing. However, this won’t stop me from continuing to try out new flavors. Food: Pass. This is the other main reason that I docked stars. We were here to pick up a bunch of cheesecake jars around lunchtime on a Saturday. We always try to support local businesses, so thought we’d give the food a try. We ordered carry-out, because the restaurant only has a few tables and they were all taken. We’re also only two minutes away. By the time we arrived at home, my panini(which the person behind the counter recommended) couldn’t be lifted up, as it was completely soggy and falling apart. The lobster bisque(which other reviewers raved about) was lacking the lobster and was heavy on the cream. As my husband put it, «this isn’t anything I couldn’t make at home». Another wild disappointment. Deals: If you return your mason jars, you get $.50 off your next purchase — and you can combine them! Since I’ve purchased for two small family parties, I have enough to redeem for several free items. I’ll do my best to pick out some great items, but if flavor is lacking again, this may be the last time we visit.

This is definitely a good place for lunch. I’m lactose intolerant and have dairy from time to time and the cheesecake in a jars here are great! I’m glad that this restaurant is in the suburbs and the cheesecakes are made daily. The staff is very friendly and kind too.

This place is excellent. I highly recommend stopping by for a try. I had half of a turkey bacon panini which was solid, and the kung fu tuna wrap, which was excellent. The tuna was one of the best tuna items Ive ever had. Great blend of flavor n texture. It is very crisp n fresh tasting. The hummus side was very good. They provide free flavored water infused with fresh fruit. I am going to order some cheesecake in jars to go, so I will have to update my review. The owners are extremely nice and welcoming. It is very clean inside. I need to find my way over here again.

It always makes me happy to see something different open in the suburbs, especially in Plainfield, where the main drags are filled with chain restaurants. The Cheesecake Store is in a new, mostly desolate, strip mall on Route 30 in Plainfield. The area is mostly dotted with newer subdivisions. Since it is so close to home, I couldn’t resist checking this place out. I was surprised that the Cheesecake Store has more than just cheesecake. I was expecting a small bakery, but there’s a full café inside with limited seating. The menu consisted mostly of panini and salads, with some options for kids. And this place really packs in the business — there wasn’t a single open seat on Saturday afternoon. The cheesecake is stored in the refrigerator case by the register. Even though it was busy, there was still a nice variety of flavors available in both jar sizes. Small jars are $ 3, and large jars are $ 5. If you bring back a clean jar, you get 50 cents off of your next purchase. Small jars are perfect portions for one person, and I wanted to try two flavors, so I chose the Salted Caramel and the Key Lime — both in small jars. I really liked the salted caramel, but the key lime wasn’t very tangy or limey. I do love cheesecake, but I didn’t particularly like their graham cracker crust. It was soggy and crumbly, probably from being under the moisture of the cheesecake and then sealed in a jar. I would come back here for cheesecake cravings, especially since there isn’t a Cheesecake Factory in the area, but I’m not quite at the point where I’m telling all of my friends in distant lands all about it.
