I went in to get my pixie cut trimmed and evened up. They were really nice but the girl who cut my hair pretty much butchered it. It’s definitely uneven in the back but I couldn’t see that until I reached home and washed and styled it. I realize they are not familiar with or have had much experience cutting ethnic hair. I’ve got to wait until what’s left of my hair grows back before I can go somewhere else to have it fixed.

I’ve been coming here off and on since it first opened. I’ve seen numerous times people, some good, some not so good. I just got back, and I can say I’ve settled on «not so good». The young lady cutting my hair spent all of about five minutes with me. Didn’t trim properly around the ears, didn’t make it even, and wasn’t even layered properly. Didn’t trim sideburns, bangs, etc. The cut consisted of her using a trimmer on the side, going a little on the top with scissors, and that was it. It took 5 minutes, and she should have spent a little time making sure it looked good; she seemed to rush everything. I went back and she somewhat fixed it, but I think I’m just going to have to grow it out a bit. She mainly appeared clueless. It is hit or miss here.

I’ve been here twice; once a few years ago and once a week or so ago. My haircut is really not complicated, a buzz of one length on top and a slightly shorter buzz cut on the side. If you are able to watch a VHS on how to run a hair clipper over someone’s hair, then you can probably cut my hair just fine(I know; my brother with limited VHS training did it for several years). I’ve been going to a hair-cutter for years in Northern NJ who excels at $ 10 haircuts that do exactly what I need them to do. I didn’t have time to go to him, so for the second time in my life, I entered the Supercuts. I was seated promptly which was cool and told the hair-cutter what I wanted. As she’s running the clippers through my hair, I can see that things look a little iffy and to be honest, I didn’t bat an eye which was probably my fault. I’ve just kind of accepted that at a chain hair-cutting place, I’m going to get a bad haircut and that’s basically what I got. I had to go home and fix the back, front, the area where the two different lengths blend, as well as the sides(sideburns were cut to drastically uneven lengths). The buzz cut cost about $ 17 without tip which seemed a little unreasonable given what I was asking for, but I was in and out in 20 minutes which was nice. To recap, a little pricey, pretty bad haircut, and I didn’t even get to spend time with my brother. I gave it three stars because it basically lived up to expectations, and it did become a serviceable haircut once I fixed it(plus it only took 25 minutes altogether from me entering to me leaving). There’s a GreatClips or some other nonsense across the street but to be honest, I’d probably be able to write the same exact review of them, too. Just go to a small barber and build a relationship with them; it’s better for everyone.

This supercuts is the best. I’ve been to other supercuts in the past and always left feeling like I didnt get the look I wanted. The salon is clean and uses only the best hair products. Jordan is very knowledgable and honest regarding color and will go the extra mile to ensure you look and feel fabulous!
