Good custom frame service. They will fix the problem on their own dime if your job doesn’t come out right.

They have an alright selection of things, but I can get most of them at Michaels which is closer to me. My biggest gripe about the place is the staff — I came up to the empty registers to buy a sketchbook, and there were exactly three members of the staff around, setting up fall décor and product. Exactly two of those three made eye contact with me and I waited, with my item on the register, for more then a few minutes before I just gave up and left. I won’t be back, if their staff actually had customer respect, I’d probably give them some business.

The coupons and rewards certificates always make the trip worth my while. We are frequent shoppers, stocking up on supplies for my daughters’ latest craft or picking up a birthday present. They have a great frame selection and I’ve had many items framed here as well — always with excellent results. They also have a great selection of scrapbooking supplies.

I’ve been trying to get a custom frame fixed from here for about 6 weeks now. The first time I got it the frame fell off the wall because it couldn’t support the weight of the glass and shattered. So, I took it back they apologized said they would secure it better and ordered a new one, but are sure it will hold. I lost a week in there somewhere waiting to hear from them about options, but just to be sure I went to the store at which point they said it was ok to move forward. My original frame was damaged so badly they had to order a new 1 and there goes 2 weeks. Now I get a call from someone saying the replacement frame came in and they now think it won’t hold the weight. So I go pick out a new frame which also has to be ordered and there goes another 2 weeks. Now the last 2 weeks have gone by and I again go to the store and they tell me it’s a priority. At this point I don’t trust them and don’t think they are qualified to frame anything other than a 3×5.

This store is always a mess but you can find some great deals here. Rarely do I find anyone around to help me find things. I scored some deals the other day. Doesn’t seem like it is as good as some of the bigger Jo Ann’s or Michaels to find specific items but good if your just kind of looking for a project to do.

This used to be one of my favorite craft store until I discovered cake and candy decorating. After venturing into that arena I didn’t find A.C. Moore all that great because well they don’t have a huge selection. When it comes to candy making Michael’s is the place to go. A.C. Moore gives you a simple introduction but once you have mastered the art of cake decoration Michael’s is more satisfying. I went in looking for chocolate molds and left totally disappointed. They have the same ones they had 3 years ago and nothing new. A.C. Moore is known for their scrape booking papers and besides that I’ve been disappointed lately. Art classes are always being canceled because not enough people sign up. You have to sign up in person, so after signing up multiple times one gets discouraged. Prices are better for brushes and card paper but it seems Jerry’s Artaruma is West Hartford has better prices for paints.
