Burger Break

This place gets one star because the food was hot. Where to start? Dry buns? Overseasoned fries? Below average patty? Literal overcharging on our order? Sticky tables? Filthy bathrooms? Just a terrible experience.

I love the chili cheese fries and the burgers from this place. Recently I haven’t been impressed. The chili cheese fries are still great! I just picked up a burger that I know wasn’t freshly made. I know because the lettuce was microwaved. Microwaved lettuce is disgusting. My husband stated that whenever he picks up food it’s always empty this may be the reason why.

My husband’s Texas Break burger was missing the mushrooms, jalapenos, and hickory sauce. It also had very few grilled onions. Big waste of money. Just finished dinner. Big disappointment. Don’t get very many tater tots for the money either. Won’t order again. Only reason we did is because they deliver. Not worth it.

Awesome burgers and fries. We have ordered to go several times and the burgers are fresh, big and tasty.

Most amazing burgers ever! I love everything on the menu their fried mushrooms and pickles are bomb.

INCREDIBLE! The best burger I have ever eaten in my life … LOL … I’m back here at least 10 times and I will come back more. The beef burger is incredibly juicy, well taste … attendants are very friendly and the prices of products are very good. much worth you know, my suggestion is you ask the Hickory Cheeseburger Combo by 9:25 (sand + drink + fries)

I have given this place a chance at least 4 times… and every single time – I am disappointed. The environment is very lack luster – which would be FINE if the food were good. We stopped in this weekend and the temperature in the building was at least 80 degrees. The employees were sweating and I was very uncomfortable. I ordered boneless wings… they were overcooked and lightly tossed in sauce. I ate two and trashed the remainder. As we were eating our meal the employees were chopping onions –which literally sounded like a sledge hammer banging the wall. It was just a very unpleasant environment. I asked for a «to go» box and I finished my food in the car. They’re one the only places where you can get fried pickle wedges… that’s the only reason I went there. The staff was rude to me and my husband when I mentioned that the place was too hot & the LOUD chopping of onions was unpleasant. I like to support small local businesses but I cannot bring myself to go back to this place. I’ll stick with Scotty P’s…I’ve never been disappointed with Scotty P’s. It honestly takes A LOT for me to complain or be disappointed at a restaurant, but this place deserves a bad review. Sorry. I would give them a negative rating if I could.

Honestly, the place feels dirty, and the food wasn’t that good. My husband and I got the buffalo chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Wish I would have taken a picture to show you how THIN the chicken was in this sandwich! I have never had a thinner slice of chicken on a sandwich. The flavor was nothing to brag about. The sweet potato fries were only okay, not even good. The staff was friendly and nice, but not enough to compensate for the lack of cleanliness and size and quality of food. Another customer left angry while we were there because of the noise they were making (thinking cutting sweet potatoes??) and after asking them to stop because the noise was bothering them, the noise continued. But we didn’t care. We have children.

This place certainly isn’t fancy but as far as value goes you certainly get enough bang for your buck. My wife and I stopped in here after work and the place was friendly, the food was hot and the service was quick. The seasoned fries are cut daily and the burger tastes like homemade but better. The place has been here about four years and there are no other locations. If you’re looking to support local mom and pop joints come give this one a try!

These guys seem to be going the wrong way. I first ate here when they first opened and it was better then. We were there last night at prime dinner time and they were empty. My chili cheese burger was decent (just above average) but not anything to come back for. The burger offerings around town have exponentially increase and price of admission is a damn good burger. Some many good options within 5 minutes of this location. The ice tea was absolutly Undrinkable. The only thing I truly enjoyed was the fresh cut French fries!

Not a bad burger at all. I didn’t find it to be as flavorful compared to some other places however. Pros: the food is relatively inexpensive for the portion size (¼ or ½ pound in the $ 5 – 8 range), the service was friendly and attentive, fries and onion rings are tasty, drinks & ketchup/​mustard are unlimited and self-​service. The only con was that some of the tables weren’t cleaned off. Also my daughter said the bathroom was «gross», but I didn’t see it myself (obviously) and we know girls can be dramatic sometimes. Oops, did I say that out loud?

Authentic burgers. I enjoy the korean bbq burger. Ask for an extra container of sauce and don’t overload it because it’s not similar to traditional bbq flavoring. Their wings are decent as well. Their fries are wonderful with some sort of greek seasoning I’m assuming.
Pricing is average. Diner is clean and comfortable with multiple flat screens.

Fresh ingredients, huge and juicy patty, tasty and big wings, and clean kitchen are all there. Their interior is not modern or fancy but is casual and comfortable enough to bring friends or just to fill my stomach.
I also liked their onion rings and fried mushrooms (which is better than other restaurants’).

First time. Was in the mood for a good burger and decided to give this spot a try. Been driving by it for years but never ventured in.
Ordered the Texas Break Burger, added some bacon, and went with the tator tots as the side to complete the combo. Total came out to just under $ 13, which is pretty decent for a specialty burger this size.
I got to say I was pleasantly surprised. The meat was juicy and all the ingredients tasted fresh. Sautéed onions, mushrooms and jalapeños made the burger a flavorful one. I love cheese and when I get a cheeseburger I expect to be able to pick out and taste the cheese. The American and Swiss cheese combo on this burger was great and made it all taste that much better. The only thing I was not able to taste was the hickory sauce, hence can’t really comment on it.
Tator tots were hot, no Sonic tots, but were pretty decent. Next time might go with the French fries or onion rings.
Staff was pleasant and service wasn’t out of the ordinary. It was slow shift so they were just carrying out their kitchen prep duties (open counter so can see entire kitchen and grill area when you sit). It was obvious they were peeling and cutting potatoes, so the fries are definitely handmade.
Great casual burger joint, no gimmicks or pretentiousness here. Good spot to add to your list of local burger stop when wanting to please the occasional burger craving.

Delicious! Have been driving by here for years always wanting to stop in. Finally did 3 weeks ago, and I do not regret it. I went on a Sunday afternoon, after the church crowd had died down quite a bit, and found the service to be quick and friendly. I ordered the ¼ lb cheeseburger and can’t imagine ordering the regular ½ lb. I’d have been too STUFFED. Sweet potato fries were pretty good. Not the best, but certainly not the worst.
Overall, I absolutely would (and will) be returning.

We always come here for a yummy, clean and flavorful burger. I get the veggie burger (rice patty) it’s my favorite!

I always get the Texas break burger… I LOVEEEE it! Burger is pretty big and extremely good. I always go with onion rings as their fries is not their strength.
Customer service is Just OK.

I think we must have gone at an odd time because the place was relatively empty, odd, I thought because prior to coming here we read so many good review about this place.
Despite the lack of people at the time we came, the staff was very friendly and quickly took our order and within minutes are food was out. The burger was absolutely mouthwatering delicious, the fries… I could do without but from what I see the onion rings look pretty good.
We will definitely have to come back at a better time, this place has amazing burgers!
