Classy Crete

It took us weeks to get Ryan Gaston dba Classy Crete to come out and review the work his crew completed which we were not happy with. It looked sloppy and poorly planned. He verbally agreed to make corrections but never returned a text or phone call. Coward. Unfortunately we have had to file a formal complaint due to his lack of responsiveness.
Inferior product and delivery!
We were referred to Ryan Gaston (dba Classy Crete) through a trusted friend. Initially Ryan was very responsive and attentive during the sales cycle. Shortly after work began, his responsiveness declined.
Demolition
Disaster. Damaged the pool light and electrical feeding to the light which they said they would fix and never did.
Concrete Pour
Extremely sloppy. They ordered the wrong cantilever forms that were two different colors. Instead of making us aware of this, they just installed both. Now part of the underside is tan and the other white. Less than two weeks after the pour of the concrete, large cracks started to appear. Finally after multiple follow ups he agreed to fix the cracks. Now nearly a month later, he has yet to return to fix the cracks and once again gone silent.
Finish
Ryan never offered to do a final walk through per the contract. Following the staining of the concrete (sloppily completed) we never heard from him. I had to reach out to him several times over the course of 6 weeks in order to get him out to do a final walk-​through and provide feedback. As a customer I should not have to take initiative to review the work completed by a contractor. He promised to come back out and make the repairs as discussed in our walk through and 3+ weeks later he has yet to take action.
His crews were sloppy in their clean up and respect for our space. Trash remained far after their departure as well as our private gate code which was carved into our fence by this crew.
Overall
We would never recommend Ryan Gaston of Classy Crete. He is unresponsive and untrustworthy. Worst of all he takes zero pride in the product he delivers. We’ve provided him repeated opportunities to make things right and he has failed at every step. Do your research– you’ll find a similar story from others who have made the mistake of hiring Ryan Gaston and Classy Crete.

Terrible Customer Service. The owner does not respond to calls, emails, or texts once the job has been completed and he has your money.
We hired Ryan in November of 2014 to install stamped concrete in our entire backyard which was a very very large sum of money we had saved for years to install.
Our formal quote had listed installation of a full drain system underneath the backyard, along with double reinforced rebar and thicker concrete where we wanted to place a Jacuzzi. There was also listed on our formal contract an electrical sleeve running from the back of the house under the concrete and to the other side of the yard where the Jacuzzi was to be placed.
We paid Ryan with a check in full and he never delivered. He did install the concrete, however he failed to install the electrical sleeve, reinforced rebar and thicker pad for the Jacuzzi. In discussing this with him after the concrete was poured he apologized and told us his crew would dig a trench around the entire outside of the home to install the sleeve. This was never done.
The concrete covered our weep holes and Ryan promised to have them redrilled but they did not. The drainage pipes were not installed correctly and we continue to have water back up on the porch. He will not respond to resolve this or any of the issues explained above.
Immediately following the initial install we met with him once to discuses repair of several spots where the color was washed away by the rainstorm that happened during the job and also removal of a large rock that was exposed on the surface. We also discussed his crew cleaning the side of the home where there were large splashes of concrete on the brick, digging manually of the electrical sleeve that was forgotten at the time of pour, and having them re drill the weep holes the concrete covered up. No one ever showed up at the agreed time and the owner has now refused to answer my calls, texts or emails.
In addition we have had numerous cracks in the patio — some larger than others. Ryan told us we would have a 2 yr warranty and free fill or repair for two years on any cracks yet he will not reply to any of my calls, texts, emails or voicemails.
I have referred many friends to Ryan and know for a fact that one of my neighbors contacted and contracted with him because of my referral. This was not a small job or a small amount of money. The mistakes and problems that were made and we are continuing to deal with are permanent ones.
I am just disgusted and frustrated with the lack of service and would not recommend this company at this point to anyone I know.
