If you just want to go into the store to buy something that’s already in stock this might be the place for you. But expect slow service, uneducated associates and an overall attitude that you are really inconveniencing them when you need something cut. And there are never enough associates on the floor to actually help a customer with questions. If you need a special order item and have a deadline — don’t let them fool you into thinking they can help you. They cannot. The systems are antiquated(like working with a company from the ‘70s), they put you on hold for many minutes without even asking why you are calling, if you even reach a manager, the manager does not follow up with you. Unbelievably bad customer service. I will just stick with JoAnn’s from now on.

Selection is not bad — I have had to go to Hancock’s when I couldn’t buy something somewhere else. There is usually a significant line for cutting. It is a little tricky to find, but now my GPS has it and I’ll continue to go there. If you can catch the sales, the price isn’t bad.

Good selection of fabrics and cheaper than Joann’s. I saw a beautiful pink plaid that I wanted to purchase to make a winter skirt. When I brought it to the counter to be cut, the woman helping me noticed that the ends may have been eaten by a rodent. Needless to say, I didn’t purchase anything today. The customer service is mediocre. The ladies who work here are not mean,(except one older lady with short, dark hair), but if I had to conduct a thorough assessment, I hypothesize that they probably want to retire, but feel forced to work. One employee stands out to me as exceptional. I wish I knew her name, but she has long salt and pepper hair. She offers great customer service. I’m going to search for other fabric stores in the DFW area. I’m picky about where I spend my money. I spent enough here already, and have no plans to return. I gave this place enough chances.

For a true fabric store this is great ! Hancocks is slowly fading out ! they have great prices and the store was decent! Staff was very nice! The location is a little hard because it is the back are of where the address states. The area is a temple where a religious groups meets so parking is not the most convient but an over all good store !

This store needs a manager. It is a busy Anniversary Sale day and there was one employee that knew any of the store processes. I was told by one employee that I picked a bad day to come in. Really?

I like Hancock Fabrics– it is small, but their selection of fabric is nice quality. I prefer Hancock over Hobby Lobby & Jo Ann Fabrics.

I’ve been taking a lot of tailoring classes, and my classmates seem to find a lot of their fabrics at Hancock Fabrics. I saw this place across the parking lot after lunch with friends, so I decided to check it out. It seemed a little cheaper than Joann’s. I wasn’t particularly excited about the fabric selection, but they did have a good variety of linen. Usually I mostly see linen blends at Joann’s. My husband was with me, getting bored, so I couldn’t spend much time, but I would like to return at some point and take more time.

I love Hancock fabrics! I am so sad that so many of their stores closed down. Lucky for me, I live right down the street from this one, and I go pretty much every week. They know me in there! I do fashion design, and also use a lot of fabric for photography reasons. Large selection, great prices(better than Joann’s!) and I like the staff. Sometimes they get a little cranky when it’s super busy, but that’s understandable. J Hancock is the first place I will always go for my fabric needs!
