This is my absolutely favorite favorite kolache place!!!(That is it’s my favorite unless you including stopping at the Czech Stop on I-35 but I’m not including them since I can only hit that place when I’m traveling. Anyway.) The rolls are amazing here — so soft, so tender, so everything that a kolache should be. It’s like what you’d get at if you were stopping at the Czech Stop but since you aren’t(see above) it’s the next best thing. They have a great assortment of flavors, fruit and sausage, all at a great price. You can call in special orders in advance and pick up extras out of the freezer case inside. The freezer case, by the way, is where they stash extras. And did you know you can order rolls for the holidays or dinner or simply to celebrate the wonder that carbs are in our life? Now you do.

I am definitely a fan of this bakery! I have sampled all of the goodies sold here and they are amazing! One great thing to know about this kolache bakery is they take special orders for all events. Give the owner a heads up and he would love to make it for you. The customer service is exceptional as well as they food. Good food from the heart and yummy to the tummy! Got to give this bakery a try.

I just went to this place since it is less than 1mi. from my house and GOTCHEATED! The price for a regular dozen sausages is $ 12.50. The price for a dozen spicy is $ 15.00. I order a half-dozen of each, expecting to pay the more expensive $ 15.00 price, but NO… the owner charges me the per/unit price($ 16.50) and then argues with me when I tell him I should only pay the $ 15.00 price since he was coming out ahead on that deal anyways. YOUJUSTLOST A CUSTOMERFOR $ 1.50!

Went on a Sunday around 10:30 for some kolaches. All they had was one left. You would think a store like this would have plenty of them. So I took the one they had, but it wasn’t even warm! The cashier told me I would have to warm it up in a microwave myself and pointed to one next to the coffee station. Will not be back.

Fresh cinnamon roll was too bready in the middle. Would like more cinnamon and soft sugar texture in the middle. I know there are different types of cinnamon rolls. Requested and tried nuts on a couple of cinnamon rolls which they used chopped pecans. Like that it’s done on request. Had the cream cheese Kolaches which was a nice texture and perfect in sweetness. Pig in the blanket was soft and fresh. Would definitely visit again because of the clean shop, nice courtesy staff, fair price, and to try different Fruit Kolaches.

Wow, so many«bad» reviews over nothing. Of course their pigs are«cold». If it was under a heat lamp it would dry out. Duh! I liked this place. Not too many places have true kolache’s so that was a good change of pace. Fruit filled and soft they were. But I came for pig in a blankets. And back I will come. Almost all places use eckridge sausages which have no flavor. I’m not sure of they brand they use but I was not the little guys covered in bread. These were poking out of the bread fighting for space. I didn’t try the kolache’s but the pigs were def worth it. And don’t try that«donut» shop across the street. Those pigs were rock hard and days old.

It was absolutely horrible in every possible way!!! First of all it was cold as ice. Secondly, the hot dog was very slimy and tasted worse than a schools cafeteria food… When I called to explain it wasn’t that good they person who answered was EXTREMELYRUDE she said, «I could come back to get a new one» I then said«I won’t be back.» She then immediately said bye in an angry voice and hung up. They people there are very rude. When I asked to speak to the manager he said, «uh I am the manager.» In a very unkind and not at all polite tone. I really suggest you don’t go there!!! I will never be there again.

I love the convenience, and this is the perfect place when no other breakfast option sounds good or if you are picking up for colleagues and team members at work. Big variety and selection, all good!

Some people seem unsure what kolaches are. Texas-style kolaches are baked rolls with fruit on top, brought here by Czech immigrants. A klobasnek is a roll with meat inside, invented by people of that ancestry living in Texas. Both varieties sold here are some of the best we’ve seen outside our family’s hometown of West. Not quite as good as what you can get there… but the best Czech food in the Plano area.

Sausage rolls(Kolaches) were a bit cold. They’re about a buck a piece. I had to heat them up in the microwave. I bought a dozen for my teammates at work. Arrived about 8am. They tasted alright; just a bit stale. After heating them up they were ok. The spicy ones aren’t actually that spicy. Not sure if i would want to go back. Maybe if i knew they had a fresh batch.

Had one good pecan pie here. Then we bought another to take to a big family get together. Big mistake — the pie was as hard as a rock, could barely be cut w a knife. So disappointing and embarrassing. Also frustrating — the owner really seemed like he couldn’t be bothered by our experience/possibly didn’t believe us. Oh well. Can’t recommend this place.

When I think of kolaches, I think of sausage kolaches. The fruit kolaches this place offers are almost like Danishes. I love Danishes and was excited when my boyfriend brought them home for breakfast, regardless. They were really dry and only had the tiniest dollops of fruit on the top in the center. I wish they were filled or at least had a glaze on top so it wasn’t just dry bread. I don’t think we’ll try this place again. Even at 75 cents for the tiny Danish, I don’t think it was worth it.

This place has great kolaches. I frequent here quite often. I just wish they had more meat choices. That being said, I love their cinnamon rolls!

Very little inventory left as they were close to closing. The review is not based on that, it simply means that I couldn’t try two of the things I was planning on getting(a cinnamon roll and a cream cheese kolach. I don’t think that it would have made a big difference in my rating. I had a Bavarian cream kolach and a klobasnek. The klobasnek was a hot dog, not a sausage by any definition I would use. The kolach filling was OK, but the dough was wrong. It resembled a grocery store bun in texture and flavor. The prices are pretty good, but the size of the product is also small compared to other kolache places. Had this been a donut shop selling kolche, I would be less critical. When your name says otherwise, you have something to live up to. They didn’t really do that.

Good not great. The«spicy» kolaches have zero burn. I literally wouldn’t have known they were spicy if someone hadn’t told me. I didn’t try their cini minis. They seem to have a lot of regulars so maybe I just didn’t order the right thing. Still a little disappointed that I went to place named Kolache Factory and the kolache’s were mediocre.

This is where you want to go for a kolache if you are in the central plano area or if you want a great cinnamon roll! Fantastic and fresh!

I’ve experienced much better. This place was a total let down, and it seemed dirty. I stopped by to get breakfast for coworkers and now I feel badly for bringing them subpar food. If there is nothing else around, I suppose this would do, but I feel like I just wasted $ 10 on something I could make better.

If you are looking for a great deal for some tasty baked goods, they have that. Honestly not the best I have had, but good for the price. I would simply suggest if you go, go early in the day, we had to use the microwave to warm things up, but if you are doing take out, just remember to warm them up. Helpful staff, takes custom orders so I am sure if you do that, they will be fresher. Enjoyed our meal, it was great for the price.
