I have shopped at this store since they opened. In recent years they have a very bad habit of putting Pricing labels for Kroger brand items in front of another brand of item. Example, last night I went to buy some bacon, it had a $ 3.99 price on the sign in front of it, I was surprised that it rang up as $ 5.99 with .50 cents off at the register. Turns out the sign was for Kroger brand in front of a different brand of bacon. The manager walked back to the aisle with me but didn’t change the price tag so I assume this is the way they setup their store now so LETTHEBUYERBEWARE. I also went to their store last week and bought some Italian sausage, the sign next to the sausage said $ 5.99 but the items were actually marked $ 3.49. The Cashier gave me the $ 3.49 price at the register. I came back a few days later and the sign still said $ 5.99 but the items were now marked $ 2.49, I took some to the register but the checkout person said they would not honor the price. I went in last night to get some steaks because last week when I went in to buy steak all of their coolers in the meat department were not working so they had removed all of the meat from the store. I checked the Italian sausage and saw they had covered over the $ 2.49 price on the Italian Sausage with black magic marker. I still shop here when time is a factor, but there are other Grocery stores that don’t do bait and switch that are in close proximity to this Kroger.

For years I have shopped here and considered this«My Store»! Unfortunately, an incident a couple of weeks ago has changed my opinion forever. I went through the line(there’s never enough cashiers) and realized that I had spent more than I should have. When I checked the receipt I noticed that 5 items rang up incorrectly. This had not happened to me before so I asked about it but noticed that the line was very long so I decided to go to Customer Service(that was my first mistake). After standing at Customer Service for about 7 or 8 minutes I asked for a manager. From that point on I consider myself degraded and abused! The manager stated that nothing rang up incorrectly and he didn’t want to hear my complaining any longer. When he said this to me he had not looked at my receipt nor asked what products I was referring to. After being laughed at, he threw a $ 10 bill at me and asked«Are we done here?» I told him we were not because I was due more than that. This irritated him so he looked over the counter and yelled out to the store asking if anyone was watching and asking them if the problem was him or me. I was mortified and asked that he please quit screaming and why he was treating me like that since I hadn’t been nasty, rude or degrading. He told me that he didn’t want to hear my complaining. I finally asked him for all of my money back and he said that he would have to scan each item into the register but I could wait. I had a meeting and said I couldn’t so I left with some of my groceries. Yes, you heard me right!!! He kept the items that rang up incorrectly and I paid the price… not only with my hard earned money but with my dignity as well. I’m sad that I will not be shopping at Kroger any longer but what other choice is there? I’ve reached out to Corporate on 4 separate occasions and have yet to hear back from anyone so I thought a review would be a great place to end.

Rude employees! Customers not treated with respect. I typically choose Kroger for my grocery shopping and gas. I’ll drive down the road to Tom Thumb next time.

Stuffy store with slow sarcastic cashiers and managers that don’t «get» people have been waiting too long! Not worth it.

I really like this store. I have one exception. The meat market I try their steaks every so often and we did again last night. They were Nolan Ryan steaks. One side looked like thick steaks and the other went down to nothing. I like mine medium rare. It was impossible to cook right. Very disappointing for our rare steak treat. It could have been more tender also. We will go to a meet market next time.

Like this Kroger! I have one much closer to my house, but actually will travel to this one to do my main shopping instead. I just«do the rounds» on my errands/shopping day so that I can come here. Much better selection than many of the other stores and I was told by an employee that this one was remodeled a year ago. These are the reasons I prefer this one: 1. Great produce department(although a bit small) with organic available as well and the produce is fresh; 2. A gourmet cheese area — the gal behind the counter will offer you bites if you ask and even cut a piece into a smaller portion for you. There’s a good variety of triple crème, hard, soft, semi-soft, blue — all the usual suspects and a few we hadn’t heard of that we’ll be trying at some point; 3. Hot fresh deli section — very small in selection, but looks nice — must try it some time; 4. Gourmet«take and go» entrees — not to the extent that Central market has them, but there are Asian dishes/appetizers, things like lasagna, stuffed eggplant, salads, paninis, etc.; 5. Fresh tortillas and artisan breads at the bakery — we picked up a very nice French Boule here last Saturday(there’s a slicing machine there that the customer can use if you want but I consider that blasphemy — bread needs to be torn off while having it with cheese & wine!)‘ 6. Decent wine selection(they were giving samples away the other day and we got to talking with one of the wine managers for a bit); 7. Cleanliness! 8. Friendliness — I noticed that the employees seemed to be happy and friendly and would go out of their way to ask you if you’ve found everything you need, etc. I like that in a store… Service… Quick added note: We decided last Saturday to get one of those new«boxes» of wine — we got two, actually. The first one was awesome. The second, a Cotes Du Rhone, was the most disgusting wine I’ve put in my mouth since I first started drinking reds. I took it back two days later and they refunded my money(which was good since we’d paid $ 21 for it). I told the manager that it was«off». I did see the wine guy a little later and told him about it and he said that he hadn’t tried it but would not recommend it to anyone now that I’ve let him know.(We drink a LOT of Cote Du Phone… this was musty and moldy.)
