I absolutely love this place. I’ve been pretty over buffets lately. I used to love the kbbq AYCE, but I care a lot more about quality than quantity now. Food — 5⁄5 Their menu is huge. I hate that you have to pay for sauces though. Their original is absolutely amazing. It is extremely flavorful. The spicy broth is the original but with TONS of chili oil on top. My boyfriend loves it, and I think it’s extremely spicy. The broth makes everything so flavorful. You don’t need sauce. Favorites 1. Lamb — so extremely tender, definitely get this over the beef slices 2. Fish tempura 3. Fish tofu 4. Enoki mushrooms 5. Cuttle fish — if you’ve never tried it, it’s like more tender squid 6. Napa cabbage 7. Thick noodles — I absolutely love these noodles. They almost taste like homemade ramen noodles. Skip Fish fillet, fungus, chicken Service — 3⁄5 Like the other reviews, service is seriously lacking here. They basically bring your food once, and then never come back again. They are very good about refilling your water though. Biggest tip is basically to order a bunch on the first round, because they will probably never come back. Their food is just phenomenal here. It’s a nice change from Korean barbecue. We loved it so much that we came on Christmas eve, and then New Years day.

Definitely a place to check out. It is difficult to find a hot pot restaurant in TX. We used to enjoy this as fondue Chinoise. Thus is the real deal folks. Enjoy!

I went here yesterday with a big group of friends. The girl that worked in front did not make us feel welcomed. I had to tell her couple times that we called ahead, she seemed lost. Maybe because she was watching the news about the upcoming storm. Who knows… The servers were really attentive and nice. Most of them kept on checking to see if we needed anything. However, the spicy broth was not as spicy compared to the one in California. Sighs it’s okay I still enjoyed it.

I was first introduced to hot pot at a friend’s house. It is like a fondue with more choices and it is great. I sought out this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised that it was really good. Almost as good as my friend’s preparation and pretty close to those I had in Beijing and Shanghai. I prefer the more spicy broth but the mild side offers something to slow down the taste buds as you taper off on the food. They also have a novel check list for ordering which can be amended on the fly. The seating is private enough for a long personal meal or a small group. I would recommend this restaurant for their wide selection and unique way of cooking at the table at your own pace.

The food here is always super awesome! However, I gave only 3 stars because the wait when we went there was very long and it took a while for the staff to attend to us once we were seated. Although generally, Asian places usually have bad services but great food, it did take longer than usual before our waiter came to take our order(at that point my husband and I were starving after waiting for so long) and a while before the hot pot and food came.

The services I will only get 1 star for it but I put 2 star for the food, the food was just alright, but i think the manger Hong was not that friendly and nice. I ask for severe getting more drink but never got refilled. The hot pot place just going down wasn’t like usually too now. The service was really bad right now.

The manage name Hong, have very bad attitude. He only nice to table with ladies and offer them free drinks and sometime make them uncomfortable. I go there when he is not around or I just walk out with my girlfriend If I see him there. So if you go there take a girl or else you will get attitude from him. Good luck hope you won’t meet him there

Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot is an Asian restaurant in Plano’s Legacy shopping center. Fans of fondue style cooking will feel right at home. They’re also all you can eat, and you’ll have a large selection to choose from. My Overall Rating — 2 Stars(Atmosphere, Food) Atmosphere — Like most restaurants in the area, Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot is located near inside the Legacy strip mall. Inside you’ll find a waiting area with plenty seating in the back. Because you are cooking your own food, each table is equipped with a burner and some bigger tables are enclosed. You’ll find TVs on the wall — expect a little humidity though. Plenty of bowling pans will be simmering at once. ½ Star. Service — On my one visit the service was just ok. I think it may have something to do with the way they are setup: You choose your broth & your protein, then they’ll bring it out along with assorted sauces and vegetables. Honestly, the staff was not that helpful. Once we were ready to put in an order for additional items, they brought out the wrong protein but made no attempt to get what we requested(beef but they gave us pork). Sorry, it wasn’t a good experience. No Stars. Food — Fans of spicy hot pot rejoice. When you order spicy, it comes out spicy. I don’t recall our exact soup base, but it was very fragrant & spicy. They even have pots that can hold two types of broth. All proteins we ordered were fresh — the thinly shaved beef & pork were beautiful. Each cooked within seconds in the broth and were very tender. The vegetables were also fresh. Now, the soup base was a bit too spicy for me and after a while all the flavors start running together. But when it comes to hot pot cooking, the quality and freshness of the ingredients are paramount since you cook it at your table. 1 ½ Stars. Will I Return? — Not sure. Honestly the service was a letdown and after a while everything tasted too similar. Yes, I know it’s my fault since I’m the cook or maybe this style of cooking just isn’t for me. No Stars. My Unilocal Rating Scale(Sum of all parts): 1 Star — Atmosphere — Is it a cool dive? Perhaps an upscale place? No matter the type, atmosphere plays a big part and I’ll give a star if I like it or thinks it has great charm. 1 Star — Service — You can have a great meal with bad service. But that’s also what can make a five star joint drop to four. It’s important to the dining experience that service is great and on point. 2 Stars — Food — I’ll award up to two stars for the food, since this is the main reason we dine out. Sometimes the extra star is given for value, but it’s really all about the food. 1 Star — Will I come back? — If I know for a fact I’ll return, I’ll give this a star. A place has to make an impression for me to return. Each Category can be given up to 1 star except food(2 stars) because I consider all these categories important to the overall dining experience. I will sum them up to provide my final Unilocal score.

Be careful with them! I didn’t pay the tips due to bad services. They went ahead charged my card without authorization! That’s illegal to do!

I love this place, kids love this place. Do you know of a better place to get hotpot in DFW? I do not. Never had hot pot before? Here’s the deal — it’s just like savory fondue, but a LOT more flavorful You chose a both — regular or spicy or split pot with both. We usually go for both, I’ve noticed variances in the level of spice in the spicy one between visits. You chose your items to cook in it. Here are our favorites: premium beef, egg noodles, baby bok choy, taro, lotus root Lastly, you chose the dipping sauce. I like the fresh garlic, cilantro, and sesame paste. I also like to ask for a little of their chili oil mix(this is not on the menu and sometimes the waiter/waitress won’t know what I’m talking about) Or, you can do the all you can eat.. .

This place is legit. Décor is a little quirky-modern for hot pot but what are you going to do? Food is outstanding. Ask for Jason(def not his real name) but he’s the best there.

I took a trip to Dallas with a few of my friends. My friends were really into hot pot, so they were recommended to try Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot. As their only driver, I tagged along and was really pleased by what this place offered. We waited for 20 minutes to get seated on a Saturday evening. It was close to closing time, but when we finally got a table, they served us as if it were in the middle of the day. Sitting inside didn’t really look like the middle of the day because they kept the lighting dark, but that didn’t really bother me. I think we each were charged $ 30 for the unlimited pot and split the pot between the spicy broth and the regular broth. SUPERGOOD! The broth was yummy and seasoned the sides really well. Now, this was quite a while ago, so I can’t really remember what we tossed in our pot, but I just know that it inspired me to make hot pot from home, which is a really good sign that proves they’re good.

Thought this place was pretty great! Still new to the Hot Pot way of eating, but we were very impressed. We went with the all you can eat for about $ 20 each person. You get 3 rounds of food and about a million choices of stuff to put in the hot pot. The broth comes in original, spicy or a combination of both. Believe me, when they say ‘spicy’, they mean spicy! We got the combination and it was all we could handle in terms of heat. The individual hot pots were cheaper, but they seem to be enough to fill you up without too much trouble. I will be coming back for sure.

Lets start with the most important thing here and that’s the food. It’s awesome. I love that they have the half and half soup option, since my boyfriend likes thing burn-your-face hot and I don’t like any heat, but we still get to have fun sharing the same hot pot. I have come here three separate times and each time the food was consistent and delicious. The first time we came a nice white guy saw us looking confused and came over to help us, it can be a bit confusing/intimidating the first time and the staff isn’t very helpful. You pay one price for unlimited courses with an unlimited selection of things to add into your hot pot. The first column on your paper menu is for round 1, the second column in round 2, etc. Start with a few meats, veggies, and whatever kind of noodle you want. You want noodles, not rice! My favorite meat is the garlic beef and red wine lamb. I like adding mushrooms, cabbage and tofu. I like to do a seafood round last so that the soup doesn’t get fishy. You HAVE to try the fish tempura. I get like 5 rounds of that stuff. It’s so good. The service here is OK. But, I don’t expect much. The wait is always long(because it’s so good) and its obvious the servers are spread thin. You have to be aggressive and tell them as they pass by ‘I NEEDANOTHERWATERMYMOUTHISONFIRE’. Do not expect them to come check on you every few minutes. Lastly, they have a bar. They have a bar at the entrance of the restaurant. It’s a bar with bottles of liquor and wine and even a few beers on tap. But sadly, they do not use this bar. There is never a bartender, only servers running in to pour a beer and running back out. The bar is used as a waiting area for people not drinking. Since the wait is usually 30 – 45 minutes on the weekend, they could make a killing at this bar. My boyfriend and I always have to beg someone to pour us a beer, when instead someone could be there pouring them up all night. And if you do want a beer you may have to stand somewhere and drink it, since the chairs in the bar are being used by people waiting to be seated. If I could change one thing about this place, it would be the bar situation. If you have a fully stocked bar, use it. But please don’t change a thing about the food. It’s perfect.

There’s a good bit of positives about this place but not enough to give them 4 or 5 stars. Good dinner spot if you have a big appetite and eating with at least 4 people. It’s one set price per person for«all you can eat»(3 rounds). I only made it through one round but even my friends with bigger appetites only got through two. Pretty big variety of meat and veggies to choose from. You must get the beef, lamb, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, and bok choy. The broth selection was small. We got the half and half so one side was spicy broth. The regular broth was bland to me and the spicy broth had a kick to it but not super flavorful. I don’t recommend this place if you’re coming with a super larger party since only 4 people can share a pot at the table. I’m not sure if it was just this location but I’ve been to the one in Houston and their broth was amazing. Overall come here if you can eat a lot and don’t mind mediocre.

I was skeptical of eating here because a lot of people I know were trying to ward me away because they’ve had bad experiences. When I went here I didn’t know what to expect. My sister and I ordered the half and half all you can eat with garlic beef, thick noodles, mussels, premium beef, fish balls, beef balls, enoki, cabbage, bok choy, octopus, tofu, and a lot more that I can’t remember! It was actually pretty good! I enjoyed it! It was kind of pricy is my only real complaint. OH Also, the spicy is really spicy haha, so I usually mix both the not spicy and spicy to my liking! I also heard the service was bad, but I had a decent experience, and a booth across from mine had some kind of pretentious people that were complaining that the restaurant is too cold(most shabu shabu/hotpot restaurants are cold because you will be eating hot food with a boiling pot in front of your face! YOU’LLLIVE), but they threw a fit and were being really rude and obnoxious about it, but the workers took the complaints and handled it well and moved the couple to another booth of their comfort. Not the greatest, but I’d definitely come back whenever I’m not broke and want to stuff my face with hot soup and tons of beef!

Tonight was a boys(husbands) Friday dinner and a first time visit to this restaurant, which is the restaurant-neighbor to the left of JS Chen. After receiving a brief explanation from our wait person about the difference from the 2 menus and taking his lead on what items to order for our hot pot. Even with each of us arriving with empty bellies, we could only accommodate 2 rounds of delicious dining. Each of us left very satisfied and will plan of a return visit to sample the a la carte menu.(See pictures) TIPS: 1) come with an appetite, especially if ordering from the ‘all you can eat’ menu 2) don’t order too much for your round 1 because you are given more«rounds» to satisfy your appetite 3) this is a ‘hot pot’ experience(similar to a Japanese a shabu shabu style) 3a) the spicy version of the broth is just right, though they can serve it up «half normal/half spicy» 4) take home is not allowed in the«all you can eat» menu but is allowed in the al la carte menu 5) if it’s your first time visiting, go ahead and ask the wait person for suggestions as they provide good advise to make for a very pleasant 6) highly recommend ordering the beef tendon, baby octopus, meat balls, firm tofu, mushroom, bachoy, beef tripe, and lamb.

Good hotpot place for date night or groups on a cold night. It allows you to do hotpot without the mess of making it at home. It’s all you can eat for 2 hours where you can order up to a total of three times for $ 22 a person. I’ve never had to order more than twice. They have all the meat, vegetables, seafood with choice of rice or noodles that you could possibly need for a hotpot. Only thing that I think they’re missing is eggs. I recommend ordering the half and half so you have both the regular broth and the spicy flavoring(warning it’s very spicy. Also I would recommend the noodles with their beef balls, taro and garlic beef.

So I am not typically a big fan of hot pot because the broth was always too plain for me, then I found Zhabuki and enjoyed that. Upon hearing from friends about how this is mindblowingly better, I was a bit doubtful but I had to see it for myself. Finally got to try this place last week and WOW. The broth here is dramatically better and I can’t even begin to describe the combination of flavors of the broth!!! The regular is very flavorful and the spicy is a bit more flavorful and peppery. I think I prefer the regular one, with the addition of chili sauce to it. The peppery flavor on the spicy is a bit overwhelming and gets salty after a while. So we had the AYCE option for $ 21.99 and selected most of the meats and a good bit of the veggies. The serving size for the meats were very generous! The seafood were a bit in smaller portions but you can always ask for more. I was surprised shrimp was included because they gave us jumbo shrimps and after being cooked in the broth oooh la la! It was absolutely delicious. The broth was so flavorful that every single vegetable we threw in there even just for a little bit absorbed so much flavor so nothing we ate was ever bland. The meat was also very tender! Surprising for me because typically the meat gets hard in hot pot places. Food wise, I would definitely come back here for hot pot. It is well worth the drive from the whole other side of DFW. One thing to point out though is that service is absolutely HORRIBLE. Yes, I know Asian places typically have bad service but no. this place was beyond bad. Our initial order took almost 40 minutes to fully arrive as they only gave us the meat initially and then we had to keep asking for our veggies. The waiter didn’t even know what baby bok choy was as he first gave us cabbage, then lettuce… Then for our 2nd go round, it took another 30mins to get our food. It’s like they make you wait so you lose your appetite and not eat so much! So beware.

What a great experience! We headed here for date night. It was kind of chilly outside, so this was perfect for that. We arrived around 5:15 Ina Friday, which worked out well, because the restaurant quickly filled up. The restaurant is located in a strip mall near a grocery store, and a Boba Tea place. The décor is really nice; modern and chill, and it smelled amazing. We did the AYCE option, which is $ 22.00 now. It is worth it for all of the fresh meat and veggies that we ordered. We got the half and half broth with lamb, chicken, beef, bok choy, lotus root, daikon(The server informed us that it was good for your manhood LOL!), mushrooms, rice, and some noodles. There were so many choices! My suggestion is to order as you go so that you don’t waste food. Everything was delicious! As for the service… ah-mazing! They are in it! One guy so so cute, and he told us how to cook everything. They could tell that we were rookies. This is a great option for date night or groups, especially if you want to try something different and healthy. I can’t wait to go back!
